Liverpool clearly need a stadium of at least 80,000 capacity for a club of its stature. Possibly in future build a bridge over the main road incorperating the shops to increase the Kop capacity similar to the Trinity road stand at Villa park? We face a similar issue at Villa now, we have a 15,000 waiting list for season tickets and need a 60,000 capacity

@@jamie6192 Villa had the largest average attendance in the Championship last time they were there!! I wonder what some of the so called bigger clubs attendances would be if they dropped down!!! By the way Villa waiting list is now 22,000 for season tickets (30,000 already sold which was capped to give match day buyers a chance. Not quite sure I understand your point!!!! Lol
@@jamie6192 Villa park is bursting at the sides at the moment, bear in mind the club is only mid table without any recent success! They could easily attract 60,000 and that is the plan " no-one thought West Ham could do it but they fill 59,000 regularly. Villa CEO is in conversations with the local council to improve train links and transport facilities to Villa park which is necessary in order for extra fans to have a hassle free journey in and out. At the moment 42,000 causes mayhem due to overcrowding in a tight area of Aston

@@jamie6192 There are plans to completely redevelop the North stand, but many fans do not want the corners filled in like the other bowl stadiums. This would mean that the DE stand would need a 3rd tier, it is possible by building a bridge over witton lane mirroring the Trinity road stand. However it is thought that Birmingham council will not agree to plans primarily due to certain individuals allegiance to neighbouring Birmingham City Football club!! This seems ridiculous but rivalry in Birmingham is intense! In terms of stadium planning and developing the surrounding rail stations it is in the councils hands

This video is fantastic. Been waiting for something like this for ages.It seems that the Kenny stand can realistically be built but the Kop no.Are we saying 9-11 thousand extra seats ? With safe standing 5000 plus would make 75-77,000.That brings us into the elite bracket of stadiums. If you persuade the shop owners and church behind the Kop to sell up because they get new shops and a new church as part of the renovation then the dream is possible...

I firmly believe stage 3&4 will be needed eventually in the future and if they build it as a mirror of stage 1&2 it will look awesome aswell as gaining much needed capacity & match day revenue 👍

It would increase capacity by up to 6 000, plus both ends being similar, it would make the ground look stunning - aesthetically pleasing. This idea that the Kop should only be one tier, is the sort of attitude that has held us back for 30 years.

They've aloud the road to be adjusted at the back of Anfield Rd. Into Stanley Park so Walton Breck road can also be adjusted.

Well argued lad, I’d love an expanded Kop with a standing section, then again I appreciate the modern fan has no experience of standing and wouldn’t consider it. I grew up standing on the Kop and I’ve always believed the atmosphere is far better when you’re standing. Mind you, I’m 67 now and have got MS so couldn’t stand for 90 seconds let alone 90 minutes. Any road, I enjoyed the video and I’ve subscribed so look forward to seeing more from you. Cheers
Great video exploring possible future expansion and the real obstacles to achieving this dream. It may be unlikely or even feasible, but it would, and hopefully should, be the ultimate goal to go for a full expansion of Anfield.
If the Kenny Dalglish stand and Kop end are expanded similar to the main stand and the Anfield road end respectively, then Anfield would have a capacity of 76,500, making it the biggest club owned football stadium in the UK.
It would be great to keep the Kop a single-tiered terrace and maybe even bring back full standing to rival the yellow wall in Dortmund.
If all this happens, I will not only forgive FSG but forget the whole Super league shenanigan.
I can see the expansion of SKDstand on 10 years at least. The design of the roof on the new annie road stand could tell us whats the next phase. First, recover the investment of the new expansion and second, buy the houses on both sides of skerries road to have a similar fan zone of the actual SKDstand. I could make a calculation of the number of seats can be added on the upper SKD and the result was 6k o 7k new seats to have a similar size with the main stand. The totally of a third expansion would be 67k or 68k seats on the stadium which would be great and we would have the 2nd largest stadium on premier league.
Hopefully at the very least phase 3 happens. That way if the Kop is left untouched, the stadium would look somewhat even.
Look at the modern stadiums in the NFL and even spurs one,man Utd's one is now very old.

Regarding the waiting list. I applied in late 2001. I am currently about number 1,000 on the list so this expansion is great news for me. But 15 years? Someone who applied 15 years ago is not going to get a season ticket any time soon.
It's fine saying " Kop should always be 1 tier" but it's that sort of attitude that holds us back. Only 10 years ago, there wasn't even going to be an Anfield or your beloved Kop - we were going to knock it down and move. The ultimate objective has to be to allow the club to compete, and win, in the next 40 years. If it's feasible to put a second tier on the Kop - like the Anfield rd end, then we should go for it. It would increase capacity by up to 6 000, plus both ends being similar, it would make the ground look stunning - aesthetically pleasing. "Don't touch the Kop !", "Don't touch the Kop !" Fine - then we're going to have a little ground that looks odd with two modern stands dwarfing the others. Highbury, White Hart Lane, Upton Park, Main Road all had enormous history to them, but the clubs moved, because they realized it was the only way they could compete with the best in England and Europe. By not wanting a second tier on the Kop, you're actually hurting the club that you love.
I actually thought I was the only one who thought of this. I would gladly give up the Kop for a modern stand. Agree with me or hate me that’s my opinion.
It's not all about money though mate, the atmosphere of the Kop has a tremendous impact in big games, particularly when we're attacking it in the second half. Home advantage at Anfield is a different thing entirely to most other teams because of the Kop. I agree with you completely that those who say we "shouldn't touch it" are being stupid, it's not even the original "Kop", the structure we see there at the minute is the 4th stand we've had at that end of the ground; originally the North Stand when it was built, then the first/original Spion Kop was built in 1906, it was then expanded in 1928 and became the "Old Kop" we all remember during the Golden years, then as we all know in 1994 it had to become all seater and was knocked down and rebuilt to the structure we see today. I'm all for expanding and modernising The Kop... but it still has to remain THE KOP! 1 tier, fan/atmosphere orientated, and if you're concerned about money; include facility into the building of the stand like a museum, bar or restaurant etc
Keep the kop dingle tier but expand it tho, so liverpool have a big capacity but keep the great atmosphere
What would be class (though I don't know the logistics of), is if we expand the kop bigger while keeping it single tier, like the yellow wall at Dortmund
After annie road make the sir Kenny stand the same as the current main stand, after that raise the kop to the same height as both sides, 80k monster then!
Logistics would be a nightmare for 80k, even 60k is stretching it, however if the transport system can be improved slightly and somehow the church, houses, road and houses can be sorted, mirroring the main stand for SKD stand and modernising the Kop and make it all aesthetically pleasing should bring us to 73,000 which is plenty enough.
The closest train line, with potential to add a station is the bottom of Utting Avenue, less than 1 mile away. Normally used for freight, on Grand National day it was used for public transportation. The land next to 'station' is also vacant.
So, not only transportation sorted but parking? If they have parking space there and behind the Annie Road end then that would be massive!
You could get rid of the stanley park car park and improve the park thenmake the Utting one bigger to serve the station multistorey or underground like Spurs and put a Leisure centre on top. All Big wins for the community.
This would make a massive difference even now for the “fan experience” which Americans love!
You want to be able to get in & out of the stadium without just being grid locked for 2/3 hours after match day.
It will benefit the locals as well.
It should be looked at being done asap!
Then other plans may get pushed through a bit quicker.

They ned to replicate the main stand over on the Centenary side. Right now it looks like a bad version of Ibrox/Villa Park
Just on the right to sunlight issue, it would not be a problem for the Centenary, as any shade would be cast into the ground, rather than over adjacent housing
I just realized - it should be possible to buy up the shops behind the Kop easily if the owners of those shops get newly built shops nearby.I mean if you have an extra 15,000 people coming to the game then they will profit as well because they will have more customers.Noone will say no to extra profit.That can be FSG’s selling point. We will build you new shops as part of the renovation process and you will benefit not only LFC. Why would they say no??

Yup but the owners of those shops know that they can hold out until they are offered way over what those shops are worth
I have always thought this, as part of the anfield regenerative project they mentioned making a highstreet on the premises of anfield.. that would be an amazing spot for these shops and LFC can still charge them rent for the shops but at a lowered fee
And one more from me its possible to do modernization of the 2 stands if we dont have permission to expand but make them look like the expanded ones ?? just modernizate outside look ?? its possible ?
One way Liverpool could get around the car parking is an underground car park. If you look at the area behind the Grandstand their is a small area which they could do this without it effecting the stadium to much. Spurs have underground car parking at their stadium. This would create a means to expand the stadium further.
Good video lad, agree with everything you said. Liverpool need a massive stadium, problem is the victorian streets and roads too close together. Hope Liverpool City Council see the potential and try and help FSG get the future started.
I just saw a video about New York, where they are building huge new railway/underground station UNDER current central station (Can´t remember it´s name), so there certainly is technique to do that in smaller scale. But New York -thing is insanely expensive, been on plans and under work for decades.
It can't be done unfortunately. Building any further than 12 ft underground is prohibited in the Anfield area due to underground lava streams

that idea, cover the main road with structure and make the Kop even higher looks really nice, even if it might not possible to happen.
Maybe increase the incline of the Kop, making it steeper and higher, therefore increasing capacity. They need to talk to some architects.

Like Dortmund's Yellow Wall ? It's worth looking into because the current Kop will be dwarfed by these two new stands.
I thought about the same when phase one was going on: exactly steeper and higher, more of the same, nothing fancy or modern shining stadiums/stands, only more of the Kop.

Luckily old trafford is now a rat-infested hellhole when it comes to the physical structure :) It´s just collapsing little by little, whilst Anfield Road is going larger and better.

Nothing is impossible. Regarding the Kop problem, you can build the road under the stadium than build the stadium over the road. The shops will be relocated, surely the owners won’t mind. Build a new church, surely the parishioners won’t mind. Turn the huge car park into 3 tiers or build the tiers underground, and build underground passageways with extra shops and restaurant to the ground in a Mall format. Regarding the KDS, that is down to take the hit and buy out the houses and relocate the residence. Personally, we need to rebuild the KDS slightly different to main stand to keep the character of the stadium. Regarding transport, simply (although easier said and done)…build an underground line to Anfield from Lime Street. Once the dream is complete, you’re looking at 78, 000 max. What Anfield lacks is four quadrant stands…now that is more impossible to the suggestions I suggest. Granted it’s a billion dollar project, but we need look upon 30 years ahead in our current environment, otherwise todays Anfield will look out of date in 30 years, then we’ll have the Old Trafford problem. The simple solution is rebuild nearby and write off the old…and move forward…then you’re looking at our 100,000 target. Even if we build a huge 150,000 seater stadium, we will still have a waiting list for tickets. Maybe the impossible is impossible.
Man United fan here and I think it’s a disgrace that Anfield only houses 55 thousand fans. Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and a strong fan base. They need a stadium between 65 and 80 thousand.
Very interesting design and agree 101% with You, our stadium capacity does NOT reflect well on our fanbase (in context of size). We should aim for a minimum of 75k if there still is a queue for season tickets of the size mentioned here, that will cool eventually of there is no hope for them. Also agree that the stadium looks very lopsided and a mishmash of stand-designs.
I heard the council said no more than 60-61 thousand due to traffic & no rail line . Is that possible to rectify ?
Some good points raised there but one you missed is the local residents. Getting to Anfield does indeed create bottlenecks, but local residents have to be thought of too. I used to live 3 roads from Anfield and a 15 minute bus ride home from work quite often takes 1 1/2 hours on Matchday. That cannot be allowed to happen moving forward.
With regards to Walton Breck Road, the answer is quite simple but something the club would probably never do. They could build a new road set back from Walton Breck first, and build new shops themselves and give them to the current shop owners. I'm pretty sure most would agree to new builds, still adjacent to the stadium at no cost to themselves. By doing this the bus route and shops remain, leaving the old Walton brick and shops ready for demolition.
Think if eventually they do ever try to finish the whole stadium is that the Kop should be it's own standalone stand and doesn't need to be connected to the rest of the stadium. Could it be designed so that it doesn't effect the road behind? Does it need to far back or could it go up
I've been on the STWL for 16 years and I'm still only 19000 ish place on the list. I think it will be my kids or even theirs that get it finally offered. I 100% think we should have a 80000+ capacity, even then It won't be enough BUT, people will be able to get their hands on tickets more regularly. Up the reds!

honeslty 60000 is way too less for a lfc fanbase you have big fanbase clubs like dortmund madrid barca and bayern who tops 75k capacity easily
To expand The Kop and King Kenny Stand, you need 2 things: space to move the displaced homeowners, shops and church; and keep Walton Breck Road open while construction is ongoing. I suggest using the Stanley Park carpark space to enticing the shops and the church to relocate and free up the land for a new Kop stand. As for the road, part of the stand can simply be built over the existing road, or tunnel under the stand if they can reroute it during construction. The biggest challenge would be Liverpool Council's willingness to the plan, and getting the existing residents to opt in (probably with some tax credit / cash incentive to grease the wheels). Giving up the parking space will require passenger rail service as well, but that's the least of their problems.
I know it sounds a bit far fetched but having a road running through/under a major stand is a huge security (bomb/accident/terrorist) risk which is why that will never be considered. Also Walton Breck is a major thoroughfare and will not be re-routed like Anfield Road. The only solution would be to demolish the Kop and change the angle of the stands so it is steeper.

4:39 absolutely loved it, this one here. If we can make the SKD same as the main stand & the Spion Kop same as the Anfield road end, its easily 80k+ & the stadium will look a lot better with all 4 stands almost equal sized
That quote at the start is quite compelling, and does suggest that the club are looking to further expand the stadium. Despite the fact it will be difficult, I can see FSG finding a way.
Here in Norway they are thinking different when building. My club (Stromsgodset) in Drammen, Norway is planning to build a new main stand (Ofc alot smaller then Anfield main stand), But to get this done there is a deal between the city and the club to build the new stand with 2 perposes. First of all to be a part of the football stadium, But on the other side of the main stand there are going to be classrooms for the school laying next door (Edit - Plans on hold due to Covid). Other stadiums in Norway are built with apartments inside the stadium. Could this be a solution for Anfield aswell? Football stadium on one side, Apartments on the other for the closest naighbours to get for removing the houses and expand Anfield further? Then the Sir Kenny Daglish stand could be redeveloped aswell. That would not be posible for The Kop i guess, But if the road can be built under The Kop, Maybe there is hope? Even with the new Main Stand and Anfield Road End, Anfield is not big enough.

Well there looking into standing section so I suppose of you can't expand the other two sides of the stadium you can always make the capacity more by doing that in theory would kinda make sense why they are looking at trialing that out
The vision should be for a 90k stadium considering the population increase in 2030/2040. A 60k stadium at some point would seem less. Just go on with expansion work. The Anfield Road End should've been a 3 Tier stand like the main stand ... Not a 2 tier shorter stand...

60,000 seems to be the sweet spot for redevelopment these days , really surprised that there is not the ambition to go to 80-90000 capacity . FSG are getting bang for their buck by building stands as opposed to a new stadium, getting capacity on the cheap . The new Everton ground is beautiful and makes Anfield look like a meccano model .
Fill in the corners would help, but those verticals propping up the roof bracing limit this

Issue on further expansion is the housing. This was always the issue when expanding anfield. Will take years for further development no questions we could fill it with 90-100k of people but not in my lifetime I think
Had a conversation with a guy from Twitter and he made an interesting point . He basically said that the Kenny Stand could be built withoit buying up the houses opposite. He reckons the carpark would give enough space to build as well as taking away the bit at the entrance that sticks out.I compared the working space at the Annie Rd end and the space he was talking about at the Kenny Stand and he might be right. Anyone know if there would be sufficient room? Hard to tell .Would be fantastic bc u would only have to wait for new train lines and not have to buy up property. Never heard this argument on social media bfr but he seems confident it could work.Views?
The houses are worth relatively little anyway. ANd the club/its partners own many of them already.
It makes no sense to spend 120m and try and economise 10 m on the land.
The stand will only happen when 3 rows of houses and proper transport links are sorted.
The Kop will prob happen before the KD Stand.
Taking away light from neighbouring houses may be a bigger factor than available space. A row of houses had to be bought and demolished to get the stand to where it is now. Took well over a decade with one owner refusing to sell. Maybe things are different now if they try to get another row of houses.
Buy the house demolish it built them new apartments somewhere else. Why would you want to live so near stadium anyway. Move them away. Built it to 70-80k
Takes away parking which would be needed for such a large areana.

I can see the attraction of a bigger stadium for all the reasons in this great video and comments. Not much mention made of the view of the pitch when you are so far away from the pitch. If you're sat behind the goal you need binoculars to see the goal at the opposite end. And if you're up in the gods on the wings the players are like ants and you don't feel part of the game and atmosphere. At least that's how I've felt in a massive stadium like St James Park. Just saying the match experience in a humungous stadium may not be as good as people believe and say it is.

The issue isn't desire or money, it's the houses behind the Centinary Stand. That whole row needs buying out and that will take years again. They deffo need to do it though. It's obvious how good looking that new stand is and how good the new Anfield Road stand will be...If they lower ticket prices a bit, more fans will be actually be able to go.
Anything is possible but remember that one evertonian that wouldn't sell his house behind Anfield road? His stance stopped that stand for fifteen years.
The shops are basically converted houses, they CAN be relocated if they are given alternative and equivalent shops...and let's be honest, they all look tired as heck.
I'd say 3 rows are needed due to "right to light", however as I said in the video; Your Housing Group were partnered with Liverpool FC in helping regenerate the wider area and bought a significant number of the houses, so maybe that could make things a little easier if/when the time comes
@@kophuddy5426 yea, three rows, perhaps 5 if they create that open space feel the main stand now has. The problem they have is that main stand has put the bar so high. It's basically perfect. It's big but it doesn't look daunting. It actually looks pretty on the eye
Compare that to the scaffold look of Old Trafford, that really does look ugly and an eye saw in the middle of a housing estate. The new stand looks....just beautiful....so the expectation is high for what's coming now with Anfield Road but also anything else.
It does have to happen, totally agree and everyone else knows it too. They do have to start buying out those houses now though and like you said, short term lease them out so there isn't any hassle with the decay claims this time round but either way, it's super exciting times. It's simply a joy to see FSG standing up to their role. They said they would do this and they are doing it and given the fake pandemic, they have done amazingly well. I just hope they dont sell up after they have done their job amd cash in.
@@kophuddy5426 Given the Centenary Stand is to the north of those houses, it shouldn't have any effect on sunlight reaching houses to the south of it, so you won't have the same right to light issues that the main stand had. However buying those extra houses would probably be worthwhile to avoid their opposition to the development here and also create a larger public space around the ground for fans to safely gather before and after a match.
We fucked up using a 1970s truss on the new Main stand (and the others tbh), we should have continued the new main stand around the corner and on to the Anny Rd, ala St James Park.

@@Lee-mu4js Nope its a huge truss and could therefore be easily extended. Check out the Brazil Olympic stadium as an example of a goalpost support that is far longer. PLus you wouldn't need to go really deep in the corners anyway.

Awesome video. I also dream about this stuff Kop Huddy. In my view FSG are super smart at business. They know they can build the best brand in football and biggest matchday in the world. One finance expert reckons the new Annie Rd end will make an extra 40mill a year because most new seats will be for members who'll spend big on food, drink and merch being at Anfield only once in a blue moon. My bet is FSG are playing a long game on stage 3&4. They know it needs a train station and a plan worth the demolitions and redirecting Walton Breck Road for. Don't be surprised if they do things like get rid of Stanley Park carpark and build some top notch social housing and leisure facilities instead and turn the Utting Ave carpark into a shopping centre with underground and multistory parking. Good homes, locals onside, jobs galore. Anfield can get to 85,000 with rail seating in the Kop and lower Annie Rd. FSG are cautious but know when the only option is to go big. Big Virg is proof of that.
Building more houses on the car park is the worst thing that could happen. And would never happen. Already there are far too many houses in the area when it needed leisure facilities for jobs etc. The club is actually looking to build more car parks and bus hubs etc.

I’ve gotta say you guys are defo going in the right direction(yikes). Ours is a shithole now (OT). The glazers just dont seem too bothered in keeping up with it. I was there few months back. It was lashing it down and some people were getting drenched because of a gaping hole in the roof stand. I wouldn’t want to move to many memories there but something needs doing. However anfield is gonna look sick when it’s completed. And that’s how we did it Obviously brings in more revenue. But FSG will probably do the right thing with the cash. Not like the glazers who just take
3 new stands and the old kop would still be a great stadium.
Reading the comments here I see so much about the season tickets and stuff, they really need to resolve this issue with people taking dead relatives ect, some poor people been waiting 10-15 years, good idea for a video

I think 61,000 is quite great for the next 10-20 years. Either Sir Kenny stand or the kop will cost too much money. I mean it could be up to 200m (buying the local houses, building new ones, some huge amount of money for the locals to move out.)

I can't see any major developments on stands for a few years after the Anfield Road stand, FSG are so cautious and won't make any moves for 3-4 years after. I would love to see see the Kenny Dalglish stand come up to a standard that matched the man it's named after and one day the kop be on a scale of the yellow wall

memang sudah seharusnya dilakukan pembaruan di sektor kop end karena tribun itu terlalu kecil dan terlihat tua tapi sayang kemarin fsg sudah bilang kalau hanya akan expand main stand dan road end saja ,semoga saja ada jalan untuk phase 3 dan phase 4 karena Liverpool adalah klub besar yang sudah semestinya juga punya stadion yang "besar" juga

Before people start shouting at me I didn't like hicks and gillette either but in their plans for a new Anfield they had one good idea(yes 1)
Using safety seats instead of making the Kop a 2 tier stand make it a giant slightly steeper single tier safety seat stand like at Klopps old club BD but on a bigger scale that means it wouldn't have to be so steep and could cantalever over the Rd so it doesn't need altering.
In Glasgow, Celtic fc, like Liverpool fc can fill a 100,000 stadium easy. Liverpool should go for a least 85,000.

Modern football stadiums are just soulless, Anfield as it is has class and soul, proper football ground and I wouldn't swap it for any stadium in the world, just glad the redevelopments aren't changing the feel of anfield too much.
Lets hope after the new stand goes up we can actually get tickets, its so difficult becausethere gone so quickly. Cant wait to see the mighty reds live again (live near gatwick airport) 😎
i think. and it sounds stupid but have the shops incorporated to anfield. in the dalglish of the main just have the shops on the outside
Expand the Kop at the back a bitand try somehow to part fill in the Kop corners. Its embarrassing Spurs have a bigger home end.

what they should of done. built the anfield road expansion first and 50 meters further back into the doggy poop part of the park and LFC car park. then the main stand should of been expanded 2nd. This would of meant pitch expansion and importantly a moving of the pitch towards the 'what - would of been' about 20 meters further from Dalglish and 50 meters further away from the kop. This would of allowed the expansion of the kop and Daglish in the future due to space in front.
if you are a business, you don't build an Anfield; you hard build a purpose-built stadium at the end of the M57 and all the issues go away. we could still keep the kopp and stadium for certain games.
i still think the current anfield could be expanded; remove the new roof on anfield road and main stand (as per your view, united did this), you then fill in the corners, then cantilever the roof and you end up with 8,000,12,000 extra seating capacity by doing this for 3 corners of the stadium.
Expanding the whole stadium to about 80k capacity will be good for everyone. More tickets means cheaper tickets, more fans can see games and more money will come to the club from match days .
Daglish and Kop stands have drawback, we have to acquire land in order to expand. Meaning some houses need to be demolished and new housing need to be built, provided planning permission is approved
Forget everything else, the Anfield Road End should've been a 3 Tier stand replicating the main stand. Should've bought off some of the land from Stanley park (somehow). It's so disappointing to see a newly built dwarf 2 tier unmatchable stand and wasted corners in the Anfield Road End. Disappointing.

The redevelopment of Anfield has largely been bungled.
Well they got 7000 seats in Annie road expansion up from 4.500 in the first plan. I recall there is an engineering reason why corners can't be built in. That horse has bolted.
I think it’s time LFC look towards the next 150 years for the club. It’s been time move away from Anfield since the 90s. Build a new 100k capacity to last the next 100 years. Plenty of space around the city. They crammed Wembley in a shoe box so easily done for the price of 1x Mo Salah player. Give the grand kids something to be proud of. 🔴⚪️🔴
The Kop and Kenny stand will be the game changer for liverpool, the Kop should be a round circle build into the Kenny stadium and those to should be rising higher then the other two stands, it will be a 80 thousand seaters, the Kop should be a round build in with Kenny stand, just rising higher then the other two stands, with Klopp will be a bit steeper then the other three stands

Said it all along when they start the main stand they should of set up Anfield to move slightly more North towards Stanley Park, shifted or closed of Anfield Rd or tunnelled for car use only under the stadium that would of allowed them more room for the Kop end to allow the stadium not to be inhibited by the Church and shops and for it to be built and developed, but sadly not now, so as the guy say’s develop the shop and church into the Anfield/Kop Zone pedestrianise the Walton Becks Rd for match days and regular Monday to Friday it’s a working road ??

How about, if you cannot build extensively up, go down? People build basements under their houses all the time. Why could the pitch area not be lowered, I don't know how many feet? Then a whole new layer built under and around the 4 stands. Besides being a mammoth undertaking, the only barrier might be cost?
Well you know like Boca Juniors football ground and they’re building that stand and they put in a tunnel on the road why can’t we do something like that where we can build over the houses or something like that and also the train Lines that was it something different
Great video, they lost the super stadium opportunity with the Stanley Park idea over a decade ago. Im an Arsenal fan n I was more excited about Stanley Park Than the emirates, n well ours turned out great
yeah just build the shops and church into the side of the stadium lets be honest if ya address is oppersit the kop thats good if it is the kop thats better.
the church well thats tricky but just send the season ticket waiting list fans in there to pray for a good outcome, intergrate it into the corner of the stadium or move some where close .
gotta say you do need to put tottenhams south stand in its place tho and build a 25,000 safe standing kop , good luck

Great video, thanks a lot. I love the design in the picture, and would be happy with any capacity over 73000, as this at least allows 70000 home fans into Anfield, outside of cup games.
I’ve also been following forums regarding the stadium expansion and identified the following obstacles regarding expansion of the SKD stand, based on what I’ve read in the forums:
As mentioned in the video, any further expansion beyond phase 2 is dependent on improved public transport infrastructure being implemented around the stadium.
Hereafter, the challenge regarding replication of the new main stand on the SKD stand side is problematic, as even if enough rows of houses were acquired behind the existing stand, the rake angle of the existing lower tier of the SKD stand is steeper than that of the Main Stand. This creates sight line problems from the back of the upper tier. Unfortunately, the existing upper tier is already at the maximum allowable rake angle, so the existing upper tier therefore cannot just be extended backwards as I have read that seeing the near side touch line from the back of the stand is already problematic at its current height. Demolition of the existing lower tier and rebuilding at a lower rake angle is possible, but capacity would be lost as the new seat widths and tread depths would have to comply with modern standards, and not the legislation in place when the lower tier of the Kemlyn was built. So you would have less seats in the same amount of space you had before.
Possible solutions would be either a complete rebuild of the stand which is unlikely, or adding as many rows at the back of the existing upper tier as they can get away with as well as removing the 2 control rooms at either end of the existing upper tier, as this is a shocking waste of space, and replacing this with seats. Whether rebuilding the entire upper tier, but with a curved rake rather than a linear rake, starting with a shallow rake in front progressing towards the maximum rake angle at the back would help, I’m not sure.
With all these solutions, a new roof would be required, so any increase in capacity would need to justify the cost of replacing the roof. Considering that the original plan was to expand the Anfield road end by 4800 seats, I would think that any construction on the SKD stand would need to add at least 5000 seats to make it viable, but that’s just a guess.
In the future i would like to see the SKD stand replaced like the main stand next, iunderstand this will need 3 rows of houseing knocked down, and opening the disused railway station ,but i would like to see it happen, as this could allow the kop to widen,,and we could reach over 70,000
New shops could be built behind the current ones, the Kop might be easier than KDS as the club gave up any rights to houses on that side.
