Hey Scotty. I have a 2012 MINI Cooper S for weekends, 30K miles. The car's engine and cooling system sound loud (from the outside) when at idle. There are no vibrations and the car is serviced regularly at the dealership, no current issues. Why do you think it sounds loud?
Scott, can you comment on the Chevy Blazer ZR2. I've owned mine since 2002. I've had good luck with this 4x4 but only because I've taken very good care of it. Only issue is the split intake gasket I replaced in 07

Almost three years later I have a triple white 91 Foxbody GT convertible and just got me a black 04 Cobra convertible a couple weeks ago. Been a little hard to find a solid girl to have by side since I’ve been out. But since I got my two babies I honestly don’t even trip on that as much. God first, family, Foxbody’s and SVT’s. Everything else will fall into place. 😉😄 P.S- A Lightning is next.😏
@BigLBA1 for an 01 if it is a legit cobra 4v its worth it. Most people think they can swap a lincoln town car motor in it and its the same because its a 4.6 4v motor however makes 100 less hp. So check for that and if interior is good and clutch its okay
Alex Powers no they aren’t, I’ve had 2 and the first one was 10k and second 8k both had just over 100k miles. This was within past 2 years. It’s a 4v so they aren’t so cheap even if not a 03-04

Owned a 2003 Terminator new from Ford. Good vid. Couple corrections: Chrome inserts weren't part of the original equipment. The brushed steel knobs were also aftermarket and not original equipment. You also missed one of the biggest differentiators of the Terminators (aside from the engine): The independent rear suspension. It would be over a decade before independent rears showed up on Mustangs.
Chrome letters are not factory, they would be same color of the car and chrome letters are better if he would of kept the original cobra wheels you would see why.
Angel Martinez also not true.. 94-95 Cobras did come with “Mustang” in the bumper and 96-98 they actually had “Cobra” in the Bumper.. the 99 cobra oddly had just “Mustang” then in 01 Ford put “cobra” back in the bumpers again

You don't have to be a Mustang fan to really appreciate the 03/04 Cobra. It is the best Mustang Ford has ever made, IMO. Yes, the Shelby GT500, GT350, GT350R, BOSS 302 etc are nice, but nothing sounds better than the iconic 4.6L 4V New Edge. I've had the pleasure of owning several Mustangs and nothing compares to the Cobra. Redfire ftw!
SVT Cobra -exactly what you said, which is why the 03/04 Terminator is very sought after and also why they’re value doesn’t depreciate. If anything it just goes up the less mil s it has.
Gt350 has a unique sound and it's up there at the top along with gt500. If you want to talk about iconic that would be the 5.0 liter Mustang hands down. But sounds but really what is the reason for getting a mustang? Performance and gt500 and gt350 are the best Mustangs by far
An older guy I know always had muscle cars years ago. He had a Pontiac Firehawk, Indy Pace Car Corvette, and then one of these. He had it tweaked some, and the dyno sheet read 430 hp and 470 ft lbs. He let me drive the other cars, and they were fast, but that Cobra was crazy. I laid into it from 2nd gear, and I laughed like a nut job going through the gears! It was so intense with the whine in the front and roar in the rear.
You are so right. My brother had an '03 Cobra. I have a basically original '87 Mustang LX 5.0 that I bought new. It has a few bolt-on upgrades, and is a pretty quick car. One night I was behind him at a traffic light. I suspected he was going to launch his Cobra, so I decided to see how my car compared. He pulled away from me like I was sitting still. He let me drive it, and I wish now I would've figured out a way to buy it from him when he decided to sell.
The Cobra also had larger brakes and a more rigid steering column than the GT. Luckily the Mach 1 shared these Cobra parts. I have an 04 Mach 1 - I did not have the extra $10K to get the Cobra.
Im amazed the guy did mention/know about the different rear suspension. Yeah it had a lite hop as it loads up on launch, but still improved over the live rear in the gt's.

@@airenthusiast1071 Like I said, same engine, upgraded internals. The block and head were identical castings but one had forged bits and one had cast bits. If you're rebuilding one there's nothing stopping you from turning a Lincoln into a "Terminator", you've got it apart anyway.

The terminator is a sick car (I had an 03) but I actually prefer my procharged mach 1, mainly because of the retro styling and that shaker scoop and beautiful hood and with the procharger I’m putting down 420-425 to the wheels just depends on how the cars feeling or the dyno

I consider Terminator Cobras as the Yamaha Banshee or Honda CR500 of the car world. The Toyota Supra might be in the Suzuki Hayabusa ballpark, but the Supra and Cobra will dual it out forever and no winner will ever be set in stone. These gems will always give me the fizz
On top of the forged rotating assembly the engine block was cast iron where as the 03/04 Mach 1 and lower had aluminum blocks. The 03/04 Mach 1 had a forged crankshaft as well (manual transmission only) the 03/04 terminator was capable of 800HP sometimes even hitting 1000HP on stock internals depending on your TUNE because of that cast iron block.
The terminator is nasty definitely a dream car of mine you can’t compare this beast to a gt of the same year don’t get me wrong the gt was quick and sounded great but it’s no contest
I bought a Zinc Yellow 03' Cobra when they first came out. Put 1000 miles on it and put it on a DynoJet. Being 100% stock, the car laid down 390 whp on the first pull. Second pull it made 388 whp and third pull it made 387 whp. Power started to fall off cause of the heat soak. Ran the car at the local 1/8 mile track and it trapped 90 mph. The time sucked due to the stick tires and it being really my first RWD car and coming from a 195 hp Integra Type-R. Few years later, I bought a silver 04' Cobra that had a intake, exhaust, ported blower, pullies, and tune. That car made 485 whp and it ran 7.55 @ 95-96 mph with some drag radials on it. These cars were no joke back then and still great cars. Just sucks the interior of them were so bad.

Guillermo Ramirez it’s technically both... it’s still an SN95, it’s built on the same platform as the 94- 98’s, but the name “new edge” was used to describe the sharper lines and update in body design.
Thank John Colletti for that bottom end he fought Ford to get the conrods from Manley because the plain cast ones weren't handling the punishment that these Cobras were going to be given.
i noticed the 01 cobra tails. i always liked those. dont think theyre worth what most people want for them, or the side view mirrors, but i really like them none the less. good lookin car man. take good care of it.
As Schwarzenegger would say "yu ave ben TERMINATED" got two of these, that I'm keeping in OEM, 03' coupe' in zinc yellow, and a 04' convertible in redfire pearl metallic, these will triple in value at some point, looking for a Saleen Cobra 03' or o4' super rare and a ton of money to get one.
Best mustang ever made in my opinion , because back in the day these were a absolute beast , value for the money. They still are really , 11 sec car all day with just minor bolt on tune , exhaust , intake.

I like the idea of putting on larger rims and tires instead of lowering the body. Lowering the body will make it more difficult to get a floor jack in place. My floor jack barely makes it under the body as is - lowering it would make it impossible - even a low profile jack might not clear the body - and if it did, you wouldn't be able to jack up the car as much.
He also has the cobra badge in the front grille which originally should be the iconic mustang, it is the only place you will find the running pony on a stock Terminator.

This car killed the f bodies. It was the only game in town until the new camaro and challenger came out. The Pontiac gto was probably the only option back then but that car never sold we’ll.
I have been fascinated with the 03-04 mustang cobras for all my life. Hopefully one day I will be able to buy a coupe for a decent price. When i do get it, I'll be sure to take it to Scotty if the need ever arises.
I love ALL Mustangs I have a red 1998 sn95 (the body before this one) and a Oxford white 2017 ecoboost s550 I love them both to death, they are my babies! Heck i want to add a s197 2010 - 2012 Mustang to my collection, preferably a 5.0.
I know I’m very anal about cleanliness with toys. Started when I entered car shows with a ‘74 Corvette 454 in the Concourse Class. This means you’re basically taking daily drivers and you are penalized for dirt and factory stock mods. They go over cars with white gloves and Q-Tips between body panels. Now I’m not that bad anymore about mods but he knows he submitting a video for a lot of people to see. He’s got what looks like a gas receipt and lots of crumbs from cookie snacking on the passenger floorboard. And all the seats could use a Stanley Steamer. If you have a toy of this caliber, you need to be anal about the little things. Then again, it could be “Daddy’s Money” and he just doesn’t give a 💩. Anyway, it’s just a very nice car that deserves the extra attention. Hopefully it also has a garage to call home at night. 😇

I may sound insufferable but I’ve never had any vehicle bought by somebody else for me to drive. And I would bet by your comment, you’ve never had any sort of classic car or motorcycle. IIRC, IRS was probably the only negative of the 03-04 Cobra. Wheel hop when launching was an issue, I believe.

Wheel hop can be an issue with any IRS car, but you will benefit from better ride and handling.
It also could be ordered without IRS as a option

The terminator is a sick car (I had an 03) but I actually prefer my procharged mach 1, mainly because of the retro styling and that shaker scoop and beautiful hood and with the procharger I’m putting down 420-425 to the wheels just depends on how the cars feeling or the dyno

I consider Terminator Cobras as the Yamaha Banshee or Honda CR500 of the car world. The Toyota Supra might be in the Suzuki Hayabusa ballpark, but the Supra and Cobra will dual it out forever and no winner will ever be set in stone. These gems will always give me the fizz
On top of the forged rotating assembly the engine block was cast iron where as the 03/04 Mach 1 and lower had aluminum blocks. The 03/04 Mach 1 had a forged crankshaft as well (manual transmission only) the 03/04 terminator was capable of 800HP sometimes even hitting 1000HP on stock internals depending on your TUNE because of that cast iron block.

Love the Cobra; I'll own one someday. I Eaton supercharged my 03 GT. Every time the blower wines I smile and know every penny spent was worth it.
Best Mustang built to date. When it came out it blew everyone away. Now everyone and their sister drive a 5.0. And nobody even hears about the GT500s.

I bought a Zinc Yellow 03' Cobra when they first came out. Put 1000 miles on it and put it on a DynoJet. Being 100% stock, the car laid down 390 whp on the first pull. Second pull it made 388 whp and third pull it made 387 whp. Power started to fall off cause of the heat soak. Ran the car at the local 1/8 mile track and it trapped 90 mph. The time sucked due to the stick tires and it being really my first RWD car and coming from a 195 hp Integra Type-R. Few years later, I bought a silver 04' Cobra that had a intake, exhaust, ported blower, pullies, and tune. That car made 485 whp and it ran 7.55 @ 95-96 mph with some drag radials on it. These cars were no joke back then and still great cars. Just sucks the interior of them were so bad.
Makes me want to sell my cobra cause this guy makes all cobra owners look like tools.

Steve Reyes actually SVT produced a Cobra R in 93, 95 and 00. The 2000 was just the most popular of the three.

Guillermo Ramirez it’s technically both... it’s still an SN95, it’s built on the same platform as the 94- 98’s, but the name “new edge” was used to describe the sharper lines and update in body design.

As Schwarzenegger would say "yu ave ben TERMINATED" got two of these, that I'm keeping in OEM, 03' coupe' in zinc yellow, and a 04' convertible in redfire pearl metallic, these will triple in value at some point, looking for a Saleen Cobra 03' or o4' super rare and a ton of money to get one.
I have since gone full mod/race on the 04' it scares children and adults alike, still looks almost OEM, sounds incredible.

I like the idea of putting on larger rims and tires instead of lowering the body. Lowering the body will make it more difficult to get a floor jack in place. My floor jack barely makes it under the body as is - lowering it would make it impossible - even a low profile jack might not clear the body - and if it did, you wouldn't be able to jack up the car as much.

I have been fascinated with the 03-04 mustang cobras for all my life. Hopefully one day I will be able to buy a coupe for a decent price. When i do get it, I'll be sure to take it to Scotty if the need ever arises.

I love ALL Mustangs I have a red 1998 sn95 (the body before this one) and a Oxford white 2017 ecoboost s550 I love them both to death, they are my babies! Heck i want to add a s197 2010 - 2012 Mustang to my collection, preferably a 5.0.
I’m not usually a fan of Mustangs but this one is very nice. Very dirty on the floor and seats. Guy should bow his head in shame over that.

I know I’m very anal about cleanliness with toys. Started when I entered car shows with a ‘74 Corvette 454 in the Concourse Class. This means you’re basically taking daily drivers and you are penalized for dirt and factory stock mods. They go over cars with white gloves and Q-Tips between body panels.
Now I’m not that bad anymore about mods but he knows he submitting a video for a lot of people to see. He’s got what looks like a gas receipt and lots of crumbs from cookie snacking on the passenger floorboard. And all the seats could use a Stanley Steamer.
If you have a toy of this caliber, you need to be anal about the little things. Then again, it could be “Daddy’s Money” and he just doesn’t give a 💩.
Anyway, it’s just a very nice car that deserves the extra attention. Hopefully it also has a garage to call home at night. 😇
