Beautiful facility! Wish the lodge had been in operation when we spent Christmas in Yellowstone back in 2008. Will check it out in the summer of '21 while I'm fly fishing the Yellowstone through the valley and visiting friends in the area.
Stayed at the lodge for three nights in August. The place is beautiful with its large lobby, nicely furnished rooms and each having a fireplace. There are snacks in the lobby like trail mix and chocolate covered almonds. Nice sugar scrub in the public bathroom that left your hands soft and smelling nice. But the staff is the real asset. We were nicely greeted, asked our names and each day greeted by name. Every one was very friendly. It was great that the front desk people could bring in their dogs and share the dogs with the guests. Fishing guides were through Anglers West and our did a suburb job. Dsy one was floating the Yellowstone River followed by waiding in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley. The negative side is the pricing of the rooms places the Sage Inn outside of the common fishing person. Rooms average over $4.50 a night. Both restaurants have a limited menu and service was so-so. We adked for a box lunch for the following day, filled out the form but the kitchen never received our order. At dinner we ordered the chocolate souffle at the beginning of dinner but the order was never placed with the kitchen so we waited an additional 20 minutes after dinner for our dessert.
