How? his whole motivation was entirely worthless as if you go back and re-watch season one. Oliver queen did not kill Adrian Chase's dad, Deadshot did.
Season 1: The GOAT Season 2: The GOAT + Great Villain Season 3: ? Season 4: more ? Season 5: The return of the GOAT + Extremely good villain + extremely good writing Season 6: ? again
Season five was the strongest Arrow has been since season one and two. The preview of season six looks strong. I will carefully be watching how the writers redeem the character of Laurel Lance as the Black Siren. I actually like the new Black Canary so I hope they add more to her storyline and depth of character to the team.
I'm a bit nervous about that. But anything can work if enough effort is put into it. As long as they're both written well, it should be bearable, if not a bit annoying.
I had the same feeling and I hope that doesn't happen.. I can't take them anymore... if they put them back together I'm going to stop watching the show again
Lead writer confirmed olicity! good gracious all we need now is a flashback of olicity having mommy issues and doing drugs whilst dying her hair because that perfectly fits into a show that has a sociopath as the main lead who throw arrows at people and murders them.
I enjoyed season 4 and season 5. Season 4 is nothing like what Arrow should be (and is full of weird characters, plot, and Felicity is infuriating), but I thought the plot overall was fun. It kind of reminded me of Heroes. But Season 5 works way better. It had a more effective villain (with an elaborate genius plan; and oozed charisma), better coreography, and returned to it's grounded nature, which works better (instead of a bad guy with magical powers trying to destroy the world).
i will not lie the show was all ways meant to be dark. season 4 was to light.... the flash is supposed to be more light hearted then arrow which is one of the reasons why season 3 of the flash suck as for me i could not watch this season of arrow because i knew this was going to one dark season and if i remember season fives they are all ways meant to be that way. but i loved this season more then the last season the one not to be named that made me not like felicity.
*I am a Flash fan at heart, but sadly I am more exited for arrow season 6 then Flash season 4...* ^This! Arrow seasons 1 and 2 were incredible while season 3 became the norm, season 4? Jesus Christ what the hell happened? Who was driving and was done for speeding while drunk! Season 5, everyone and their mothers know it vastly improved things with a few exceptions along the way. Arrow season 6 is something to look forwards to, Flash season 4 however? We'll see won't we.
Season 6 has been a total shitshow, unfortunately. With the way they ended season 5, I was really thinking that they had revived Arrow again, but no. What a waste.
that helicopter scene was so damn awesome. I remember watching the first episode of season 5 having zero expectations (well, some, but only because of that "Break the Rules" trailer which was pretty good) and when I finished watching it I was surprised that it was actually good. The worst parts of season 5 for me were the mid season premier, the Olicity Flashback episode, the Helix centric episode. Overall, I just wished they'd have gotten rid of her.
I lost my sh't when that happened. Arrow's fifth season had a dull trailer and I didn't expect anything out of that season. Then Epsiode 1 happens and BAM, hooked. Flash's trailer was exciting and promised an exciting season. I caught the tail end of the episode and felt they wasted a perfectly good season-long plot, and later rewatched the whole episode and learned that they pretty much skimmed over Kid Flash and Flashpoint. It's such a bizarre switch in quality.
the 17th episode with ollie admitting the dark truth about himself...christ. that was the best episode of the season. and it had little to no fefe. coincidence? not!!!
MY OPINION: Season 1: Very Good Season 2: AMAZING Season 3: Meh Season 4: TERRIBLE Season 5: Fantastic Season 6: Good After Episode 12 And great After Episode 17 Season 7: Good
1. Really good 2. Really Really good 3. It has its moments 🤷🏽♂️ 4. Throw it in the trash and burn it 5. Yes Daddy! 6. Oh no baby, what're you doing 7. Second half is season 4 levels of bad a day boring
My turn: 1. Amazing. 2. Perfect. 3. Few good episodes but overall this season was a mess. 4. Felicity show 5. Amazing redemption with great villain 6. Meh 7. Prison Arc was amazing, but the rest... 8. Perfect
My opinion S1: amazing S2: Still amazing S3: ok I guess S4: get the fuck out of my house S5: all of it was insane and episode 17 was the best episode in the entire multiverses S6: I like it a lot so pretty great S7: easy peezy lemon sneezy my favorite season S8: I do t like the chrisis thing at all
My biggest problem with this season was the whole "Oliver was a killer" part when he really only killed when he was forced to in Season 1. And they kinda overblew how evil they wanted Oliver to be in the flashbacks.
@@darencolby1916 Yeah but Diggle even says in one episode that Oliver "killed accountants, lawyers etc" when he really didn't apart from a few exceptions. They even claim he killed Adam Hunt which is just false. Malcolm killed Hunt, not Oliver. Also when they show Oliver killing Claybourne in the flashback, it's totally different from the actual Season 1,he didn't fucking execute people like that. The season wasn't terrible, but inconsistencies like that severely weakened it.
@@A14-j7g It’s really not that different from actual season 1. Those scenes just weren’t shown in season 1. Just because they weren’t shown doesn’t mean they didn’t happen
Idk what season it happens in, but Arrow was dead to me when he shot down a helicopter on his way to the roof of the skyscraper to stop someone from from killing BBEG. "You don't have to kill them. Don't be a murderer, just put it down" Bitch you just killed the pilot of that heli when you stopped its rotors with an arrow to cause him to crash. Or the 50 guys you put arrows in on the way up. Gtfo with that stupidity
@@A14-j7g Yeah it was a complete retcon that insulted the original show which is the one I actually liked. Not only was the new season awful, but then to try and make the early season look bad? When that Oliver was the best version of his character? GTFO
Season 1: ok this is nice Season 2:wow awesome Season 3: what happend? Season 4:This is really bad Season 5: omg they made it great Again Season 6: i expected more Season 7: AWESOME but ollie's family is getting pretty big
Imma be honest. Seasons 3 and 4 were the worst we've had, but Ra's Al Ghul is still one of my favorite characters. Yes, his plan turned a bit wack towards the end, but he captured every scene he was in, and was played in such a charismatic way that I can forgive that. They also show how he is the greatest fighter in the world, and well the choreography isn't the best, they way he moves and always seems to have one arm behind his back just gives him this menace while in combat that i haven't seen another character match. Also, going out with making your killer pray for you? That is one of the best ways to die.
I don't know if it was because of how incompetent Oliver was in Season 4 or just the choreography and everything around it being much better, but holy fuck, every time Oliver was on screen in Season 5 as the Green Arrow he had such a presence around him. No one who stood in his way was really a match for him unless he literally let them beat him and even Prometheus couldn't really beat him on his own. Every time he was on screen you just knew someone was gonna get their asses kicked, and it definitely wasn't going to be him. His fighting skills were just in a completely different level in this one. Also loved how Felicity actually felt like a human being again. Don't get me wrong, there were still moments where I wanted to throw her into a burning building, but unlike last season her terrible actions and mistakes made sense, and unlike last season they actually acknowledged that she made mistakes. Seeing Felicity actually call herself out for being a hypocrite and for losing sight of the line after losing Billy was great, and again, it made sense, her boyfriend died because of the guy she joined a terrorist group to get. Doesn't excuse it, not really, and she probably should've spent some time in prison, sure, but honestly, at this point I'll just take what I get.
Kaipiushon was personally too me the best so episode ( I know I'm late when saying this) due to the confession Oliver has to the complete focus of Oliver his flashbacks that correlate with the episode, his mental tearing, and the final confession that really changed how we look at arrow especially in the earlier episodes. The confession too me was the thing that made it the great because we knew that prometheus wanted Oliver to confess something but we didn't know what due to us knowing Oliver so well from the past seasons. When Oliver finally said that he killed people because he liked it was the pay off that I wasn't expecting at all. When you think about it in olivers perspective it really makes sense because it makes Oliver "realize" that what he did in the first year and possibly the entire time was a excuse to kill people the thing that Oliver "realized" was that all he was doing was being a serial killer justifying his reason of doing this to "protect his city" and "to honor my father's goal/wish and to redeem him"(very similar to what happened with prometheus later when Oliver told him about his father and how he thought Adrian was a psychopath but done better) and that he was just dragging his friends along for the ride in his massacres. Chase "knew" this about Oliver and that's why he wanted Oliver to confess and see what he sees. Oliver and chase are very alike in this regard. The Episode later made this feel rushed(and was a little disappointing it's not bad it's just that I have problems with team arrow breaking connections with the brava personally which was a big "nitpick" I guess I had with the episode) I feel that Oliver should've at least gotten an extra episode or 3 of this broken mind arc since I feel that this was a big thing that oliver should've taken longer to process fully since this makes everything he has done the 5 ( non island) years of pain and his vigilante years and the reason he went through it was all a lie to himself to hurt people and commit murder.
My only problem was retreading the fact Oliver doesn't kill or he does now or he doesn't. It was unnatural and annoying and took away some tension and drive behind characters motivations. But the villain was cool and the writing was a lot less cringey and more competent. Gg well done CW. Next season looks good
@@SwiftNimblefoot yea making him go on this 150++ killing spree then stopping out of no where but still killing every once in a while when it’s too late lol like promethus
watching you make this video after i've watched season 6 is like watching a stock market trader the day before 911, you seem so joyous and contempt, but little do you know the next time you enter this area, it'll be with screams of agony.
Man first time watching your videos. Watched arrow from day 1. It WAS a great show at the beginning. I say that to say I wish you were dead wrong! But your not thanks for your vids I have been enjoying some painful memories! Thanks again and good day to all!
After watching season 4. I said I was done with Arrow for good. a friend of mine kept bugging me about it saying it's good now. I almost didn't believe him. I'm lucky I came back to the show.
Something that bothered me about Rene was that he said his wife's death was due to him not having his gun. It was established that she was fairly depressed and didn't enjoy her life and marriage, so a direction they could've taken was to have her kill herself via shooting herself. Therefore when Rene said him having his gun saves lives, it could have a double meaning that by him arming himself, he protects/fights for those who who use guns or something like that. Obviously if this was in the show, it'd be more fleshed out
Season 5 was great. I was disappointed going into season 6 with a HUGE finale only to have everybody ok. And basically ignoring what happened. Season 6 pissed me off. He had to spy on his team to make sure they didn’t out him. Totally fair. If I were in their shoes I’d be like ok. Wish you would’ve asked me but ok. I get it. And then they run away crying like babies. Then finally arrow gets to kick their asses and put them on the ground. THAT was my favorite episode of season 6.
Can I just say I realised who Prometheus was. It was obviously going to be the guy who never appeared before but was suddenly one of the main characters who interacted with Oliver, a new friend. It was similar to characters like Sebastian blood.
Unfortunately my friend Cisco said it himself in The Flash Season 4 Premier that he took help from Felicity and Curtis to bring Barry Home. So i wouldn't get my hopes high.
Oh man. I've just loved your "Downfall of Arrow" series. I've had all these complaints and points about the show that I can't tell anyone about (because I'm the only person in my friend group so far who watches it) and it was nice to see that someone else shares those same opinions...HOWEVER.... Respectfully, I cannot disagree with you any more about Season 5. Here are some of my thoughts: First, the good stuff - You are right, the opening episode is really good, and gave me a lot of hope for this season. Decent action and as you mentioned, a higher budget to spend on crazy epic scenes (namely that helicopter scene, more on that later). - Nice to see a diverse cast of characters - The ending (I'd say last 3 episodes) was pretty solid. The finale taking place on the island (while simultaneously Oliver is LEAVING the island. Cool contrast) where it all began, seeing Slade come back as an ally, and watching Adrian always be 10 steps ahead really gave me a feel for just how smart and how much thought he put into this master plan of his (although the idea that had set up THAT MUCH C4 all around the island is a little ridiculous). - Sleeves! Now the bad stuff - The writing and dialogue in this season was total garbage. Other than interactions between Adrian and Oliver (after it was revealed that he was Prometheus) the rest of the dialogue felt forced, shoehorned or otherwise unnecessary. This is exemplified perfectly in the gun control stuff you spoke about in your video. - I HATE this new cast. Haaaaaaaaatttttteeeeeeeeeee them. I dont feel a connection to any of them and they all feel hollow and unimportant. Rene is the strongest of them. He has an attitude, a "wild card" demeanor, and a sub plot involving him losing his daughter. However he still came off as a weak character to me because (and the others suffers from this same issue) they didn't take much time to develop any of these interesting qualities about him. They had one episode where you learn about his daughter and his past...Then we forget about all that for the next what...4, 5 episodes? It really doesn't come up again until the end of the season, other than being mentioned in passing. Curtis bugs me to no end. I liked him in season 4, when he was just the quippy, funny tech guy who help Felicity out. That was a good role for him to play. The role of "intimidating, tough, quick on his feet super hero who runs with the Arrow crew" is NOT a good role for him. Again, his "development" feels completely forced. One minute he's struggling to do a pull up/train with Oliver, in the next he's going toe to toe with baddies on the streets. It took Oliver YEARS of training and experience to be as formidable as he is. Curtis trains for, what, a month? And suddenly he can hold his own? Doesn't make sense. I had the same issue with Laurel when she became Black Canary (and I believe you pointed it out as well). One episode she gets beat down in an alley, 3 episodes later shes taking on 5 League members at once? Get outta here. Then, further down the road, Curtis somehow has this epiphany when talking with Rene that maybe he ISN'T physically skilled enough to be on the field, and that his abilities lie within tech and his mind. I feel like this transformation from wanting to be tough like everyone else, to "being tough", then back to a wimp all should have happened in one episode. It would have been good for character development and would let the audience know here he stands in terms of members of the team. And dont even get me started on that makeup. And his husband? Whats his name again? Dunno, because he's 100% forgettable. Their divorce was not only unimportant to me, but didn't even seem to effect Curtis that much. It just kind of happened and then...it happened. And it was over. If you're going to do drama, at least do it well (see: Love triangle between Laurel, Sarah and Oliver in S01). Evelyn is the weakest character. This teenage girl is...getting revenge on HIVE because she was tested on...right? Sounds interesting on paper, but it was glossed over so quickly that I had to look up her history because I couldn't remember when or if they had even covered it. Then she defects because she found out that the Green Arrow/Oliver was also "The Hood"/Oliver and he killed people? Did she not listen to his reasoning? And what about now, why is he still considered a killer in her eyes? Speaking of that... - Why the FUCK were they all so shitty with him for killing people in the past? Oliver had a list of people to stop and in the five years he was gone he basically got trained as an assassin/warrior by Slade Wilson (mercenary), the Brativa (Russian mob members) and Talia Al Ghul (daughter of the leader of the League of Assassins). Is it any wonder that his first method of addressing his list was to simply kill them off? Even if its not, CLEARLY Oliver had a change of heart. He killed people for a time and decided that was the wrong thing to do. Does that count for nothing? Doesn't the context of everything mean something? They had 2 full episodes where everyone thought he was nothing but filth because of something he'd done in his past (which, I'll remind you, he corrected!). Like, who the fuck are you, KIDS? What do you know about any of this shit? Have you been doing this for five years too? Or are you just some scrubs who were lucky enough to get picked up and trained by one of the greatest human warriors on the planet? Show some god damn respect. AND THEN, throughout the rest of the season, EACH OF THOSE CHARACTERS PROCEEDS TO USE GUNS TO TAKE DOWN SEVERAL ENEMIES. Do you mean to tell me every shot they landed was non-lethal? Get outta here. Aren't I forgetting someone...OH, yeah, rags! What the fuck? He shows up, has awesome and mysterious powers, has a background connected to Arrow season 4 (the nuke that Felicity rerouted ened up being rerouted into his hometown? Awesome, thats GOOD drama) and a LOT of potential for growth. So what they do? BLOW HIM UP BEFORE THEY EVEN REACH MIDWAY POINT IN THE SEASON. Why? Why CW, why? - I knew Adrian was Prometheus almost immediately. The fact that he was SO close to (mayor) Oliver, the fact that Oliver was constantly thanking him for going above and beyond the call of duty, the fact that Adrian seemed to always have the right information at exactly the right time, and the fact that the team was constantly saying "If only we just knew who he really was" while the writers kept keeping his identity just out of sight. It was just too much. Once you realize that he must have already been introduced (because otherwise they would have freely given us his identity - no point in "surprising" us with a character we don't know) there's really no other choice. Its clearly not going to be a member of team Arrow (as we saw them all in the same fight with Prometheus at the same time), it couldn't be any of the other main characers like Ray Palmer (gone), Slade (in prision), Malcom (because that would be dumb) and the only other possible outlier is Adrian. It made perfect sense. So when they revealed that he was Prometheus I was significantly underwhelmed. Prometheus WAS an interesting villian, but he didn't really get all that interesting until his identity was revealed. This is all off the top of my head. I could honestly go on for several more paragraphs about how they don't NEED to replace Black Canary with this new girl (who origin story, again, escapes me), about how weird Thea and Lance's relation ship is, the gun control thing, Curtis' "T Spheres" (I mean what the fuck, thats REVOLUTIONARY technology. That could save MILLIONS of lives, why the fuck doesn't he share that with the world?!) and AGAIN, these mother fucking rookies fighting League members like its nothing. Doesn't. Make. Sense. But I'll stop here because dinner is done and it this point I've written a short novel about S05 even though this comment will probably never been read. I very much enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!
dig wasn't useless all the time, but Thea did the right thing when she left for a while. sense we can't know for sure who died or survived the island explosion it is the best way to give the cast a filter so only the important characters will be around. hopefully we will see flashbacks of other characters because we have done with Oliver's flashbacks, and the show will probably keep using this plot device to show character development.
You know season 6 goes right back down the hill when the huge cliffhanger at the end of 5 has ZERO CONSEQUENCES other than that one kid's mom who never got screen time anyways and was only really used as a plot device in the Olicity relationship. I mean, on the bright side she can't be used as a plot device anymore? But really... Season 6... Oliver: "Son, we need to bond." Son: "NO I HATE YOU! YOU GOT MY MOM KILLED!" Oliver: "Son... I love you." Son: "OMFG DAD I HATE YOU!" Oliver: "I'm gonna tell you a story..." Son: "Let's bond Dad I love you!"

I just started Arrow a few months ago, took a break after season 4 and decided to start on season 5 a few days ago and WOW, season 5 is honestly my favorite season so far, that helicopter clip was beautiful, I couldn’t stop replaying it
One of the things that showed how much the show had changed is Oliver finding out Felicity was seeing someone. There's no love triangle drama or forced conflict: Oliver is briefly upset that Felicity didn't tell him but aside from that they don't force a love triangle . I know it's minor, buit after season 3 and 4 it was nice not to have forced love triangles.
Perhaps you should give Arrow season 6 a chance. Not because it’s good or anything, but because the first few episodes of season 7 are some of my favorite in the whole series and they alone deserve a chance.
Reece Giuffre at least the prison storyline of s7 and the Diaz part of season 6 is good. The rest of season 6 is ok. Season 7 has great episodes but just beware of the terrible main villain.
I stopped watching this video at "the revelation..." (6:48) because NOW I want to see season 5 (I didn't make it until the end of season 4). Thank you!
I'm honestly not a fan of this season Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, Manu Bennett, and Josh Segarra were great the best parts of the show involved them. Isn't it weird how the episode with only one background character was the best of the season? But my main issue was solely with his new team Curtis, Rene and Evelyn all sucked. Curtis is just male Felicity, the T-sphere should have came into play way earlier. Rene is just Diggle light to me. At least Evelyn turned bad, but her Black Canary cosplay last season left a bad taste in my mouth. Rory was the best and he was totally wasted. The new Black Canary feels repetitive and there is no reason for her to be on the show if Black Siren is joining the team. Quentin's storylines are just on a loop, I feel like he should die. Thea barely made an impression because they couldn't get Willa Holland to appear in every episode, I hope she doesn't die and suits up. Talia was wasted and just made the Batman more evident. Nyssa barely showed up. Diggle was a rock for the show again, still the only character I consistently like. And moving onto Felicity, god her storylines this season meant nothing. She cries about dead boyfriend for maybe 15 minutes, joins a hackvisit group, leaves the team for 2 seconds, hackvisit group betrays her, back on the team, falls in love with Oliver again and then kidnapped. I just can't stand her still, better then season 4 but Jesus when will these writers get it Felicity isn't compelling enough to get half of the season about her. I think the flashbacks were okay but I am glad they are okay. I think the main cast is over crowded next season, Olicity is coming back, his useless kid that will get kidnapped at least twice is getting a bigger role and season five hanging plots like Susan Williams are going away. I'm concerned for this season, but if they can get a man villain half as good as Josh Segarra's Prometheus it will be interesting to watch.
Thank you, I agree somewhat with almost everything you said here. My problem mostly is that everyone felt like they suddenly regressed back to season 1 and 2 and ruined all of the progression characters like Oliver had made.
Jake Smith I agree, I think few characters have actually progressed. Like Laurel was a great example of them allowing a storyline to develop. I also really like Thea development, her becoming more like Moira was interesting but they never did anything with it.
The worst part was when he revealed his identity to all of them before they even completed their training or formed any sense of commitment to the team. Remember how much it took for him to tell Thea or Roy and one of them is his own freaking sister.
anyway, if you ask me season 6 should have only 16-20 episodes because I don't like fillers and now we won't have the flashbacks to build the character of Oliver
Season 1was tedious and boring to watch. It felt like a whole 23 episodes of her complaining and fucking up. Season 2 was just awful but its action scenes were better than season one.
Ahem - it was 20 episodes of her "complaining and fucking up" in Season 1, not 23. Also, Season 2 had 22 episodes not 23... don't know about Season 3 though. Please do the research next time.
Let's be honest. As good as season 5 was, we wouldn't have liked anywhere near as much if we didn't have to sit through seasons 3 and 4. By that point we were just gonna accept any season as long as it was decent.
The revelation of Prometheus's identity was unexpected? I called it the moment I saw him because he was the only character that showed up out of nowhere that hadn't already been given an identity. Great villain though
Oliver Vs Ras is honestly one of the best fighting scene in Arrow Tbh. If you know who ras is its amazing how good oliver got in a couple of months to fight the worlds greatest assassin. Ras Al Ghul in the comics is insane the man really has the L.O.A posted everywhere and he really does find out/know about every thing thats happening in the world
I hated when they killed Laurel, but I hated even more when they brought Black Siren to Arrow. There's no redeeming for what they did to the Laurel character, so they should just let it be dead! And I especially hate when people blame Felicity for a horrible 4th season. The season was bad because it was poorly written, with horrible flashbacks, and a villain that doesn't fit on the Arrow show. On the 3rd season, the Flash premiered, and Arrow suffered. On the 4th season, Legends premiered, and Arrow suffered again. Thank God no more series premiered on the 5th season!
The other main flaw of season 4 was that arrow got stuck with setting up 2 main characters that were going to legends. It took time and focus away from the arc and of course it slowed the pace down in the first half because they had to set up for the crossover. Felicity was not to blamed for the horrible pacing in season 3 or 4. Or the fact that neither villains motives made sense. Ras only wanted Oliver to become his successor because of a prophecy. Even though his daughter had trained her whole life. And he knew that Oliver survived 5 yrs of hell but thought a few weeks of his training/brainwashing was going to make Oliver turn against his friends and family. That was stupid. Then darhk wants to destroy the world yet he has a young child, not caring about her growing up.We had no explanation for why he thought the planet needed a reset. Did someone him or his wife love die (like Malcolm's wife), who were the other members of hive and why did they want to destroy the world. Where did he get his mystical abilities. It made no sense. There were a lot of problems that had nothing to do with Felicity. And I sure many could have been fixed if every other show wasn't being built on arrows back.
Pfruit0916 Exactly what I think. Bad villains, bad writing! But for some people, is just easier to blame the female fictional character, than the male real writer 😡
Im glad they stopped focusing about oilcity so much and more about the actual plot, I finished season 6 on Netflix and so far I'm not disappointed and also, play the helicopter clip again
I'll just say it, I've watched all 4 parts of this, and the best thing about it was that there wasn't a single asking to sub or "ring the bell", not even a sponsor ad! (I literally subbed because you didn't ask). I recognise that Arrow is bad, but I'm kinda dumb, and like dumb stuff :D Thanks for helping me rinse an hour on something actually worth watching.
SEASON 6 !! dude arrow has picked itself up, and its better than ever s3 and s4 was annoying and it ruined many opportunities of storylines and character arcs. s5 was also annoying at times but it had its great moments and it gave me hope that the show can make a comeback. I feel like after s1 and s2 the direction of the show was lost, and was really going downhill but season 6 so far has been very entertaining, the improvement is real and its just as good as s1 and s2 if not better, what do you guys think? ill prolly make a season 6 review after all the episodes are up !
U kiding me? it far behind s01-02-05... This season is almost as bad as s03-04. the vilains are boring. like always the lies destroy the people on team arrow... like always some1 wants to out Oliver identity... on the 9 episodes i liked 3 of these. both death stroke and the 1st one. the mid season finally was the wrost i ever seen on a CW show. ANOTHER marriage of Oliver and Felicity... NOTHING happened this episode. OH ALL VILAINS LINE UP... im still not hype for the back half. What will happen? The story will be dragg until ep23 when the showdown is finally there? having the vilains every episodes and no way to stop at least one of them? BORING. S05 had the biggest vilain on the series since deathstroke ... now we have a line up of retards
Now that I think about it... Season 5 pilot might just be my favorite arrow episode.... Or well at least top 3 It's exactly what arrow season 5 needed to pilot it's amazing return
I loved season 1 and 2 3 was decent 4 was bad 5 was great 6 was okay 7 felt too rushed for crisis 8 was really just a glorified and extended goodbye for Oliver and the show Overall Arrow gets a 8/10
I loved season 5. Adrien Chase was such a great villain

For some odd reason I thought for a split second he might make a decent Overwatch character :)
what episode is this scene from???
Season 1: The GOAT
Season 2: The GOAT + Great Villain
Season 3: ?
Season 4: more ?
Season 5: The return of the GOAT + Extremely good villain + extremely good writing
Season 6: ? again
Season 7: mehhhh
Season 8: why the fuck did this even exist
Season 6 and 7 have pretty good first 9 episodes but after that it was bad
I do wanna know that if I wanna watch this show can I only watch 1,2, and 5 or would I have to watch 3 and 4
@@tripz7370 whats wrong with 8?
@@muqe2994 wdym season 8 is amazing it’s such a nice trip down memory lane
Season five was the strongest Arrow has been since season one and two. The preview of season six looks strong. I will carefully be watching how the writers redeem the character of Laurel Lance as the Black Siren. I actually like the new Black Canary so I hope they add more to her storyline and depth of character to the team.
TheWonderGirl23, as long as they DON'T BRING BACK OLICITY!!!! It will probably be fantastic.
I lowkey hated the first episode of season 6, it was like oh yeah, all these people lived and didn't give much back story to it or any time to process
Avocadoman202 thats CW for ya
Life, Liberty And Justice For All Oh dear... That's some optimism you had there.
The Reverse Ever heard of Alex Meyers? As a fan of the 100, you'd probably enjoy his videos on it.
Then he watched season 6. And never made another review of CW shows ever again
Until he watched the flash season 4
Season 6 was f i n e 😭
7 was half great and half s n o o z e f e s t
Season 6's first half was amazing. Back half did not live up until the last three episodes...
if they kill felicity in that explosion i will cry tears of joy
That will finally destroy all the annoying Olicity fans
Liam Bieber that’s a dumb comment
Liam Bieber no
@Germs JB I was indeed quite salty when she didn't
Obviously this particular comment didn't age too well
I have a terrible feeling Olicity is making a comeback next season. They were not subtle about that in the last couple of episodes.
I'm a bit nervous about that. But anything can work if enough effort is put into it. As long as they're both written well, it should be bearable, if not a bit annoying.
Ross McIntyre should have a Olicity- Siren love triangle and chooses Siren in season 7
I'd prefer no love triangles at all, but this is the CW
I had the same feeling and I hope that doesn't happen.. I can't take them anymore... if they put them back together I'm going to stop watching the show again
Lead writer confirmed olicity! good gracious all we need now is a flashback of olicity having mommy issues and doing drugs whilst dying her hair because that perfectly fits into a show that has a sociopath as the main lead who throw arrows at people and murders them.
I hated season 5. Season 4 was the best!
Said no one ever.
Edit: Said no one ever who was _normal_ and not a crazy Olicity shipper.
The Rogue Squad hell naw man season 4 is cancer season 5 is redemption
Vigilante was cool. It's a shame they did the same for the Flash, teasing a full season who's the villian, that sucks.
I've seen crazy Olicity shippers that have said this
i will not lie the show was all ways meant to be dark. season 4 was to light.... the flash is supposed to be more light hearted then arrow which is one of the reasons why season 3 of the flash suck as for me i could not watch this season of arrow because i knew this was going to one dark season and if i remember season fives they are all ways meant to be that way. but i loved this season more then the last season the one not to be named that made me not like felicity.
I am a Flash fan at heart, but sadly I am more exited for arrow season 6 then Flash season 4...
TheDutchArmyz Honestly, same. I just want to know if Nyssa lives lol
*I am a Flash fan at heart, but sadly I am more exited for arrow season 6 then Flash season 4...*
^This!
TheDutchArmyz It's followed in Arrow's footsteps SO FAR. But Now, the Flash has a chance to Branch out and grab it's chance at redemption.

Season 6 has been a total shitshow, unfortunately. With the way they ended season 5, I was really thinking that they had revived Arrow again, but no. What a waste.
I skipped season 6. What happened? (I didn't even finish season 5)
u should finish both
Ayo Jinmi Halfway through season 6, I wanted to quit the show. I knew the team would come back together, so what was the point of them splitting up?
Well at least season 7 is being good again
Xavi Garcia season 7 is amazing, can’t wait for prison riot next episode and star city 2938
Lian Yu best Episode in the Arrowverse
jensibens A Haha, no.
Not best episode but best finial
The Absolutely Guy Haha yes
It was the best episode
I dunno but certainly has to be an Arrow one
that helicopter scene was so damn awesome.
Ever Nolasco RIGHT
I lost my sh't when that happened.
Ever Nolasco - Bro the finale of season 5 had me doubled over in a state of gay penetration because of how fucking good it was.
the 17th episode with ollie admitting the dark truth about himself...christ.
that was the best episode of the season.
and it had little to no fefe. coincidence? not!!!
No, I hated every second of it, the cgi is so bad. (If it doesn't look good don't put it in)

My biggest problem with this season was the whole "Oliver was a killer" part when he really only killed when he was forced to in Season 1. And they kinda overblew how evil they wanted Oliver to be in the flashbacks.
Forced to? He would actively attack people on the list and kill their guards. You can’t be the one who attacks and also claim to be “forced” to kill.
Don't be a murderer, just put it down"
Bitch you just killed the pilot of that heli when you stopped its rotors with an arrow to cause him to crash.
GTFO

Season 1: ok this is nice.
Season 2: wow I love this season WOW!
Season 3: why is this here.
Season 4: WHY LAUREL. 😭
Season 5: AWESOME.
I could not have said it better my friend!!

Season 3: what happend?
Season 4:This is really bad
Season 5: omg they made it great Again
Season 6: i expected more
Season 7: AWESOME but ollie's family is getting pretty big
That helicopter scene is beautiful. It's so refreshing to see an action jump-out-of-a-window that focuses on movement rather than spectacle.
And then came season 6 and arrow once again dove off a cliff
not relly
Imma be honest. Seasons 3 and 4 were the worst we've had, but Ra's Al Ghul is still one of my favorite characters. Yes, his plan turned a bit wack towards the end, but he captured every scene he was in, and was played in such a charismatic way that I can forgive that. They also show how he is the greatest fighter in the world, and well the choreography isn't the best, they way he moves and always seems to have one arm behind his back just gives him this menace while in combat that i haven't seen another character match. Also, going out with making your killer pray for you? That is one of the best ways to die.
I have a feeling there is going to be a different kind of arrow video soon
Oliver training with talia al ghul in the s5 flashbacks seemed like the scariest / most badass version of oliver we've ever seen
"no one has break Oliver like Prometheus did"
Ricardo Diaz: "hold my beer"
Prometheus killed williams mother and put thea in a coma and prometheus got to oliver like on a really personel level so yeah
My only problem was retreading the fact Oliver doesn't kill or he does now or he doesn't. It was unnatural and annoying and took away some tension and drive behind characters motivations. But the villain was cool and the writing was a lot less cringey and more competent. Gg well done CW. Next season looks good
They should just take one direction and stick to it, seriously.
@@SwiftNimblefoot yea making him go on this 150++ killing spree then stopping out of no where but still killing every once in a while when it’s too late lol like promethus

watching you make this video after i've watched season 6 is like watching a stock market trader the day before 911, you seem so joyous and contempt, but little do you know the next time you enter this area, it'll be with screams of agony.
they better kill felicity off

Man first time watching your videos. Watched arrow from day 1. It WAS a great show at the beginning. I say that to say I wish you were dead wrong! But your not thanks for your vids I have been enjoying some painful memories! Thanks again and good day to all!
I'm definitely on board with this guy. Season 5 was definitely a return to form for this show, and I hope season 6 keeps that train rolling.
3 years later what are your thoughts
You're contents so entertaining I've been watching your channel for hours.
Obviously if this was in the show, it'd be more fleshed out
Season 6?
Idk your feeling about it. Either "The Downfall of the Arrow part 4" or "Another Redemption For Arrow"
10:36, (cat) What am i looking at? Dude where's your piano, you know the one i scratched up and took a sh*t in.
THAT was my favorite episode of season 6.
would've been better if arrow didn't hold back in that episode
That intro killed me, love your editing on these videos!
Season 5 should of been the end of the show
Those videos are really really good - well done mate
Can I just say I realised who Prometheus was. It was obviously going to be the guy who never appeared before but was suddenly one of the main characters who interacted with Oliver, a new friend. It was similar to characters like Sebastian blood.
Glad to find a decent video analysis of Arrow! Look forward to season 6 and your future review!
Maybe the writers will listen and Felicity blew up on the island
Unfortunately my friend Cisco said it himself in The Flash Season 4 Premier that he took help from Felicity and Curtis to bring Barry Home. So i wouldn't get my hopes high.
The Arrow writers did say that they always planned to go back to their roots for season 5 since it would be the last season on the island.
Season _3_ really wasn’t as bad as people remember tho
Here are some of my thoughts:
First, the good stuff
- You are right, the opening episode is really good, and gave me a lot of hope for this season. Decent action and as you mentioned, a higher budget to spend on crazy epic scenes (namely that helicopter scene, more on that later).
- Nice to see a diverse cast of characters
- The ending (I'd say last 3 episodes) was pretty solid.
- Sleeves!
Now the bad stuff
- The writing and dialogue in this season was total garbage.
I love you." Son: "OMFG DAD I HATE YOU!" Oliver: "I'm gonna tell you a story..." Son: "Let's bond Dad I love you!"
you forgot to mention the improvement of the suits Oliver and dig wear

Does every single action scene in this show take place in a warehouse?
I just started Arrow a few months ago, took a break after season 4 and decided to start on season 5 a few days ago and WOW, season 5 is honestly my favorite season so far, that helicopter clip was beautiful, I couldn’t stop replaying it
Can’t wait for that season 6 review😂
One of the things that showed how much the show had changed is Oliver finding out Felicity was seeing someone. There's no love triangle drama or forced conflict: Oliver is briefly upset that Felicity didn't tell him but aside from that they don't force a love triangle . I know it's minor, buit after season 3 and 4 it was nice not to have forced love triangles.
I really hope zatanna makes her debut this season so long over due
the only thing i hate is how wb said that deathstroke is off limits.
I just hope they bring back Captain Boomerang. They used him very little here. And he has to go back to Flash.
Thank you!
Gave up on arrow after season 4. Based on this video I'm now gonna check out season 5. Thanks man.
Don't. It's really bad.
I liked that to and was one of the reasons why I liked when they joined the team.
Jake Smith and now they just let anyone join the team.
The worst part was when he revealed his identity to all of them before they even completed their training or formed any sense of commitment to the team. Remember how much it took for him to tell Thea or Roy and one of them is his own freaking sister.
that manu bennet dance was fabulous
bruh, this season had some of the best fight scenes ever.
And now its dead again. RIP Arrow.
i like this guy's reviews, he doesn't use swear words often and its entertaining lol
The CW: You Take What You Can Get
great video, I would ask you to do the downfall of Supergirl, but it never was that good
anyway, if you ask me season 6 should have only 16-20 episodes because I don't like fillers and now we won't have the flashbacks to build the character of Oliver
Amit Barabi
Amit Barabi Lmfaooooooo nice one
Season 1was tedious and boring to watch. It felt like a whole 23 episodes of her complaining and fucking up. Season 2 was just awful but its action scenes were better than season one.
Ahem - it was 20 episodes of her "complaining and fucking up" in Season 1, not 23. Also, Season 2 had 22 episodes not 23... don't know about Season 3 though.
Please do the research next time.
Can I confirm that team arrow are using tranquilizers in their guns and arrowheads?
The worst episode was the one where Oliver and felicity get stuck in their hideout. The concept was nice but it was shit olicity stuff
Let's be honest. As good as season 5 was, we wouldn't have liked anywhere near as much if we didn't have to sit through seasons 3 and 4. By that point we were just gonna accept any season as long as it was decent.
Whos ready for todays new episode of season 6
Ultimate lord kronos me cuz I already watched it :)
Not me because the whole season is a raging dumpster fire of garbage
Joebannaners What happened in S6?
The revelation of Prometheus's identity was unexpected? I called it the moment I saw him because he was the only character that showed up out of nowhere that hadn't already been given an identity. Great villain though
ARROW GENERAL GRADE: *8.6/10*
SEASON 1: *9.4/10*
SEASON 2: *9.6/10*
SEASON 3: *5.7/10*
SEASON 4: *4.2/10*
SEASON 5: *8.9/10*
SEASON 6: *7.5/10*
5>1
Season 7: 7.0/10
Season 8: 9.5/10
4:02 I can't even explain how much happy thinking that makes me
Guess I'm the only one that thinks Season 3 was great. 'Kneel before Ra's Al Ghul'.
Oliver Vs Ras is honestly one of the best fighting scene in Arrow Tbh. If you know who ras is its amazing how good oliver got in a couple of months to fight the worlds greatest assassin. Ras Al Ghul in the comics is insane the man really has the L.O.A posted everywhere and he really does find out/know about every thing thats happening in the world
My favorite was season 1 because of the darkness and murders
Making him the mayor made the show so much better and give him more of a life and a son
Diggle is his by far most skilled sidekick
I'll just say it, I've watched all 4 parts of this, and the best thing about it was that there wasn't a single asking to sub or "ring the bell", not even a sponsor ad!
(I literally subbed because you didn't ask).
I recognise that Arrow is bad, but I'm kinda dumb, and like dumb stuff :D
Thanks for helping me rinse an hour on something actually worth watching.
SEASON 6 !!
dude arrow has picked itself up, and its better than ever
s3 and s4 was annoying and it ruined many opportunities of storylines and character arcs.
s5 was also annoying at times but it had its great moments and it gave me hope that the show can make a comeback.
They made the d-stroke mask a little too bright red-orange.
season 1 is my favorite arrow season but every cw shows season 1 is my favorite exept supergirl dont know it just seems boring
Now that I think about it...
Season 5 pilot might just be my favorite arrow episode....
Or well at least top 3
It's exactly what arrow season 5 needed to pilot it's amazing return
I loved season 1 and 2
3 was decent
4 was bad
5 was great
6 was okay
7 felt too rushed for crisis
8 was really just a glorified and extended goodbye for Oliver and the show
Overall Arrow gets a 8/10
Lmao
5.5/10
Diggle’s gun is non-lethal these days, it is either rubber bullets or tranquilizers.
Thank me later
Adrian Chase
THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOU MADE THE SHOW INTERESTING AGAIN
10 steps ahead
Thank you
Thank you later.
Tax
It's sad that The Flash never got a redemption arc 😔
tall talking abt season 5. I’m wondering what the hell is going on in season 8
