I think Arrow has always been very evolutionary in it's approach. Think about it:- S1: Very grounded, street-level crime fighting drama. S2: Still a street level crime fighting drama, but with the concept of superpowers and metahumans. S3: Properly introduced the metahumans as villains of the week, mystical elements and resurrections. S4: Time travel. Introduced straight up magic. S5: Went for a back to basics route, yet still retained the mystical elements of previous seasons. Alternate timelines like Flashpoint had somewhat of an effect. Had episodes like "Invasion!" and "Spectre of the Gun" in it. S6: This is the only season that took a backseat in this department, I think. Still though, fighting your own Nazi doppelganger to save the entire world, and "shutting off the Internet" to kill more than half of the world's population sounds crazy enough to me. S7: Introduced the flashforwards, and the main villain(s) is/are a secret society who has been around since the beginning of humanity. Season 8 feels like the next logical step. S8: Alternate timelines, parallel universes, time travel, dungeon hunting, literal ghosts, resurrections, end of the entire multiverse and birth of a new one. What a ride!
@@PurgatoryIsland Season 4 has a lot more issues than just a jarring change in tone. Felicity drives the narrative instead of Oliver, the choreography sucked, the plot was nonsensical, the characters acted out of character and illogically, and the magic was so out of nowhere, especially in the flashbacks.
Arrow was one of my favorite tv shows growing up. While it can be a huge mixed bag at times, it was still one of the best things from the CW and dc shows in general imo. Gonna miss it.
Battle Cats Gaming yup, they started very strong and ended very short with the season, still haven’t seen 8 so once it’s on netflix on wednesday, ima watch it
Even that I found that overrated. How did Oliver help find Diaz in prison? Diaz takes out all those guards and no sirens? Talia is in prison as the only female? Oliver is released in prison bloody and in his prison clothes after a riot? Also episode 4 and 6 just feels undercooked
I think that his opinion is valid, but it was the most well put together season with the best episodes even if the existence of the show doesn’t make much sense

@@patricksammon6238 season 7 was never supposed to be end and they had planned to just keep going but it was before it started filming when Amell said he wanted them to finish with it as he had no more interest in continuing. They talked him out of it to not just 7 but allow them to do a mini season to proper send the character off (Crisis on infinite earths was already long in planning) and here we are.
@@oliverqueen9886 im the opposite with 8. Honestly they didn't leave cliff hangers or teases but closure on almost all fronts and we even got that with characters long gone. Crisis was vastly over hyped and failed badly for me but Arrow 8? Can honestly say I'm so grateful they got Amell to stick around for one final closing half season.
Oliver Queen I agree with you 100% except season 8. For the most part I think you are right about season 8 but season 8 episode 1 when Oliver went to stop the undertaking in earth 2 was cool. Otherwise, yeah season 8 sucked and you are exactly right
Nah 1 and 2 are rly the only seasons I can watch more than once those seasons were the best superhero content I’ve ever seen. Season 5 was good but the damage was already done from s3 and 4 for it to actually be good. Season 6 was more felicity bullshit and season 7 was pretty bad too
10:26 He didn't retire, he was just forced to move out of his house and go live with his wife, as Emiko had already issued a strike on Mia and Felicity and they needed better protection, so they moved out. I hope I'm not being too mean explaining this, and that I instead provide further clarification. Keep up the great work Sean!
It’s not my favorite season by far, but season 6 is pretty underrated imo. I love that throughout it, people are leaving Oliver one by one until he snaps and just goes on a solo frenzy.
#08 Season 4 (1:07) #07 Season 6 (2:19) #06 Season 3 (3:55) #05 Season 8 (5:22) #04 Season 7 (8:06) #03 Season 5 (11:39) #02 Season 2 (12:56) #01 Season 1 (14:36)
My ranking 8. Season 4 3/10 7. Season 3 6.8/10 6. Season 6 7.5/10 5. Season 7 8/10 4. Season 1 9.1/10 3. Season 8 9.2/10 2. Season 2 9.6/10 1. Season 5 9.8/10
Season 3 was always great in my opinion, mainly due to the episode where Oliver and Ra’s al ghoul fight and Oliver get almost killed at the end. Nothing really compares to the shock of the moment where Ra’s impales Oliver and pushes him off the cliff. Even though later I realized that there was no way he was actually dead, it is still an excellent cliffhanger and the fight leading up to it is, in my opinion, the most well choreographed fight of the show.
Idk I didn’t like the way they did that. I think it would’ve been better as a season finale the mid season because literally everybody knows without a doubt that one way or another he isn’t really dead so it just isn’t that interesting to me. And for the love of fuck the way they brought him back was horrible. Literally maseo just says she “brought him back to life” with no further explanation on that
@@traysonwhitworth3006 It’s absolutely ridiculous that they brought him back the way they did whilst introducing the Lazarus Pit in the same season. Why not use it on Oliver? Give him the bloodlust storyline instead of Thea. Bring back killer Arrow without it being a true character recession since he’s not himself. Make it a way for Malcolm to further manipulate Thea away from Oliver. They had a goldmine of a storyline fingertips away and they botched it.
Idk why everyone hates on season 4 so much. U have to remember this is around the time when metahumans and powers were coming in to play. So at some point a villain with powers has to go after Oliver right?
That's what I don't get. How can anybody hate the season JUST because Darhk had powers? Makes no sense. I think it was a good season. Objectively. It can be as high as 2nd place or as low as 5th place on anybody's list if they just rank it normally rather than getting all whiny because the main villain has magic powers.
Season 5 is my favorite season! Prometheus was an insane villain and I liked seeing Oliver as mayor! Also, I liked the idea of him recruiting other characters to the team such as Rene Ramirez aka Wild Dog! Prometheus definitely broke Oliver in this season for sure!
Season 8 is amazing when you look at it with the context of the other shows and the overall dc universe, everything built up to crisis so I thought it was a good final season though it very well could’ve ended at 7
In Amel's words, season 8 was a victory lap. The show ended with 7 and 8 allowed the producers to pay tribute to the show. And there was still things Oliver needed to do that they didn't finish; he got to say goodbye to so many people he loved that when he died, he had no regrets. And using her words about season 7's finale feeling rushed, that's exactly how the series finale would've felt like if Oliver died in the finale. Had Oliver died in the finale around 33 minutes, we would've gotten around 7 minutes of each of the characters grieving; rushed. Killing Oliver off before the finale allowed us to have each character properly grieve and set up what their story is going forward now that Oliver is gone. And in terms of Oliver dying in Crisis, that was perfect! Oliver set up the Arrowverse, without him there would be no Arrowverse. So, it felt right that he went out defeating the biggest threat ever to exist.
Seaon 1 is my favorite since he killed and was ruthless and it was cool to see him kinda act like Bruce wayne going to party’s not to enjoy himself but just to use the oliver queen mask
8. Season 4: Magic feels so much forced, the flashbacks are extremely forgettable, the plot about Thea and Malcom is really boring and Dahrk has charisma but his arc is very forgettable and he is an awesome character… in Legends of Tomorrow. Constantine’s episode is good and Andy’s plot. And Curtis is cool! 7. Season 3: Ray Palmer, Ra’s Al Ghul, Talia and Tatsu are awesome characters but the plot is nothing extraordinary except the Brick subplot 6. Season 8. I loved the first episode and the Quentin episode, the rest of the Season is cool but there is no plot so it should’ve been much more. The season being a prelude to the Crisis is no inherently bad but the Crisis had no plot, it had awesome character dynamics and emotional moments but it seemed nothing had a reason to happen. I haven’t saw the last 2 episodes yet so I can’t be pissed about the Green Arrow and the Canaries pilot. Yet. (That’s the first show with Green Arrow in the title) 5. Season 6: this season is a roller coaster of emotions for me, there is some awesome and some horrible things. The Slade arc was cool, Diggle being Green Arrow was really cool as well as Roy’s returning, I love the villains and Dinah’s plot but Laurel and Quentin’s was a bit forced and the team’s dynamic was bad. Crisis on Earth X is the best crossover but is weird how Oliver (and Barry) merried in an Legends episode. 4. Season 1: First and last episodes are awesome as well as the episode where Oliver goes after his mom, awesome dynamic between the characters but I don’t think there’s too much going on with this season. 3. Season 7: The prison story is really cool specially the last episode with the best action scenes on the series, Tommy’s episode is awesome as well as the interrogation one and the Emerald Archer is amazing. I like Emiko but I think she should have lived and I think the finale is cool but I agree that the flash foward makes the finale worse and I don’t like Mia she is really annoying. 2. Season 2: Awesome dynamic between Oliver and Slade as much in the present as in flashbacks, Roy becomes a hero in a really cool arc, the flashbacks and the present has the most thematic intertwines, the Three Ghosts episode is amazing as well as the last one but Laurel is still bad. 1. Season 5. Awesome villain, awesome team dynamic, awesome flashback and an actually good Black Canary. The invasion episode was amazing, as well as the last one. The torture episode is probably my favorite from the series but was saddly a bit inconsequential. I think Anatoly and Oliver have some of the best dynamics of the series. Some not season specific comments about the series: The best character dynamic of all is Barry and Oliver even though is not much frequent every time they talk you can see it evolved from the last I don’t think in the first couple seasons Stephen Amell was a great actor but as the series runned I saw that he really evolved The best thing about this series is the transitions between present and flashbacks I don’t remember much of the older seasons so I may have made some mistakes Overall I think this is the Comic Book live action series I like the most even if is not the best (I took almost an hour to write all of this)
I know it’s a very controversial ranking but if I had to rank it, it would be 1: season 5 2 season 2 3: season 4 (plz don’t hate me) 4 season 3 5: season 1 6: season 8 7: season 7 8: season 6 Keep in mind, I love all these seasons so much, and this is just an overall average. If season 7 was split up between the prison arc and the ninth circle thing, the prison arc would obviously be a lot higher. Probably in the 4th place spot above season 3
I really enjoyed season 6 because its the first season that had an internal conflict between characters, true it might be a lil cheesy but Ricardo Diaz really felt like a powerful character that orchestrated his powerful empire.
Noah Barrera I like season 6 it is a pretty good season but I like a lot of arrow seasons more still I really enjoyed it I can really understand how you liked season 6 I respect you’re opinion
They couple exucutef it better like shown A police officer willing to kill a innocent Person for daiz just shoe that he had more power since yea he had control of the police department and city hall but they didn’t really go that deep into it
I've only seen the Arrowverse up to the Elseworlds cross-over event. So I am not entirely caught up. But I'm re-watching currently. Just taking a break at Flash Season 2 and Arrow Season 4 and soon to start Legends 1 and Supergirl 1. But here's my ranking of the first 4 Seasons of Arrow, since shockingly, I only saw up to there so far in my Arrowverse crusade. 1: Season 2 (I love the Deathstroke story) 2: Season 1 (perfect introduction) 3: Season 3 (League of Assassins and the Bruce Wayne/Ra's al Ghul story was executed nicely) 4: Season 4 (couple of Episodes that I didn't enjoy but still a good Season)
Eh, they developed a rivalry after Oliver stabbed him in the hollowed eye socket, deathstroke mailed the arrow back to him with a note that said “this isn’t over” only few comics touch up on it though
1. Season 2 2. Season 1 3. Season 5 (Kapuishon is the best episode) 4. Season 3 5. Season 6 6. Season 7 (The first seven episodes would be at 2nd place. Everything else I have tried to forget) 7. Season 8 8. Season 4.

5 years ago after I start watch Arrow and after season 5, I thought that show would end in the darkest way possible. But it's completely the oposite, thank you very much for the message you let me Oliver Queen, we will continue his mission forever, and ever
From a writer's perspective, the first two seasons were by far the best in terms of storylines. With Seasons 3 and 4 I really liked the team dynamic with Laurel and Thea joining the team, and in Season 5 the storytelling was pretty intense. There were a lot of flaws with Season 6 which made that year unbearable. First of all, removing the title character from most of the conflicts which the show was made for, followed by slowing the progression of the storyline to the season to that of a soap opera. Had they balanced things out like in the earlier seasons, that would have made things better. Not to mention that season for Oliver was basically defeat after defeat after defeat ten times over which totally sucked. FYI: SUPERHEROES IN PRISON: NOT COOL Luckily they made up for it a bit in Season 7 and were able to pull it back together for the big finale in Season 8.
Sean, this video absolutely devastated me. At ANY given point, you had the opportunity to say that something “hit” or “missed the mark”. The last time I felt so disappointed was the Arrow season 6 premiere where literally nobody on the island died.
My list from Best to Worst are: 1. Season 5 (Prometheus was my favorite villain, THE ENDING WAS SO FREAKING GOOD, No Olicity, flashbacks went back to being great, and I loved how it went back to the roots of the early seasons) 2. Season 2 (Deathstroke was amazing, action sequences are top notch, love the story and the flashbacks) 3. Season 1 (amazing beginning to the show, Malcolm was great, Action sequences were marvelous, loved how they used flashbacks) 4. Season 8 (it was a satisfying conclusion in my opinion, I loved the episodes, loved the tributes to the show, and I love the character arcs, and Crisis!) 5. Season 7 (first half was great, second half slumped, great S1 vibe. I felt like it could’ve been a good final season, if they had a better finale and a better villain) 6. Season 6 (disappointing premiere, OTA v NTA is unbearable to watch, first half was meh) 7. Season 3 (great first half, very disappointing second half, flashbacks start to get bad) 8. Season 4 (absolute abomination from start to finish, Olicity was horrific to watch)
1. Season 2 (9.5/10) 2. Season 5 (9.5/10) 3. Season 1 (9/10) 4. Season 8 (8/10) 5. Season 6 (6.5/10) 6. Season 7 (6.5/10) 7. Season 3 (6/10) 8. Season 4 (5/10)
season 5 I loved the most Promethius was the best and season 8 I actually loved all the episodes they were all solid, had a lot to do with Crisis and I love all the crossovers they've done which are so frustrating to shoot since all the actors from the different shows are on a time slot so they have to do some stuff quick. Season 4 had good moments but was my least favorite, I'm gonna miss Oliver and Barry's friendship the most
My personal list: 1. Season 2 2. Season 1 3. Season 5 4. Season 8 (i agree he should’ve died in a non crossover episode but for me the season was too emotional to not like it) 5. Season 3 6. Season 7 7. Season 6 8. Season 4
Spidey’s Gaming for me season 7 is on of the weakest seasons it is still good I love the first episodes awesome episodes the ending was terrible whit emiko is the worst villain on this show and the flashbacks are horrible still this season had some great fight scenes and has lots of awesome episodes and some terrible episodes I like the season still I think it is one of the weakest seasons

In my opinion, season 5>2>1>8>7>6>3>4. 5, 2, 1, and 8 all have incredible action, but they just have varying levels of plot. 7 and 6 each had 1 great part and one ok part. I just prefer the prison portion. 3 was ok, but 4 was terrible. I used to like Felicity, and now, I'm annoyed whenever she comes on screen. It sucks, because Emily Bett Richards is a good actress. She's hilarious, but they don't use that.

This new set is fire bro. Camera quality is clean af About Arrow, I personally loved Season 8 and the finale, although I could be biased since I really had no problem with all 8 seasons (except for Ricardo Diaz probably) Is it just me that didn’t like the Diaz/Emiko villain combination?
Arrow was my first series. Season 1 and 2 have a special place in my heart. Too bad the show had its ups and downs (especially downs) after. Tho, I will never forget Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and this show !
I'm surprised Season 7 was so high. After the prison arc it was so bad I can't put over any season other than season four 8. Season 4 7. Season 7 6. Season 3 5. Season 6 4. Season 8 3. Season 5 2. Season 1 1. Season 2
My personal ranking of the best Arrow seasons 1. Season 2: definitely the best. Slade was terrifying, lots of emotional moments, Olicity wasn’t a thing, Sara was a badass 2. Season 1: everything is perfect. The authenticity, the atmosphere, the songs, dramas, actions, all well-rounded. They wasted The Huntress potential to become main character in later seasons 3. Season 8: the entire season is about Crisis on Infinite Earths though it’s out of place. Earth-2 Laurel becomes legit my favorite in this season, I think she has become one true original Black Canary. What I don’t like is how vague Oliver’s death was 4. Season 5: Prometheus is definitely the best villain hands down, yet I hate their new introduced characters. I feel like the new heroes are complete mess 5. Season 4: what I really like about this season is they’re composed of balanced team which is my favorite; Green Arrow, Spartan, Black Canary & Speedy. Contrary to people’s opinion I quite like this season though they added magics and all. I also think Damien Darhk packs a great villain and overpowered. It’s just that they have too many Felicity scenes, so cringey they must get rid of 6. Season 3: even though Sara was eventually resurrected, I still don’t like how this show killed her and Malcolm’s involvement. Not to mention they really nerfed the League of Assassins. The Flash’s appearance is truly a plot armour, degrading one entire season imo. Ra’s Al Ghul’s motive to destroy the city was also weak, it could be better 7. Season 7: one of few things I like about this season is about Earth-2 Laurel redemption. Oliver’s prison arc also brings back how cool this show once was, but besides that meh. Emiko was the worst villain, the storyline is weird imo including in the possible future 8. Season 6: a really boring season, the plot twist of Ricardo Diaz being the main villain isn’t that fascinating. Cayden James becoming the villain was an open book. After the end of Season 5, it doesn’t make sense how everyone is still alive besides Samantha. Could’ve been perfect opportunity to shut Rene and Curtis off. Not to mention that weird scene of Samantha collapsing and just died like that
My opinion: 1) S2 2) S1 3) S3 4) S8 5) S5 6)S6 7)S4 8)S7 (I loved it, specially the first half of the season but I didn't like the idea of everyone knowing Green arrow's identity and him and the team working with the police)

I think Arrow has always been very evolutionary in it's approach. Think about it:-
S1: Very grounded, street-level crime fighting drama.

Jordan Martin I really liked season 8, it’s not supposed to be a finale it’s supposed to be an epilogue
To me, Season 8 feels like an epilogue, not a true season.
Stanos Yeah season 7 was supposed to be the end, but they made a deal for only ten episodes.

I agree as well. Solid af
*I LIKE HOW OLIVER MATURED FROM BEING A PLAYBOY TO RAISING HIS OWN FAMILY LATER ON IN THE SHOW*
I quite like season 8. It’s just intended to be that last horah for Oliver, going back and saying goodbye to characters we haven’t seen in a while
I Love arrow, and i liked the last season, however different it was. But, it could have definitely been done much, much better
I love how the poster for season 4 says "Aim Higher". It's incredibly ironic
In my opinion,
Season 7 was the ending, season 8 was an afterthought.
I agree! I would’ve been fine if they ended the show with him retiring to have a normal life with Felicity!

Idk why everyone hates on season 4 so much. U have to remember this is around the time when metahumans and powers were coming in to play. So at some point a villain with powers has to go after Oliver right?
Yeah but it was a very cringy season
I don't mind Darhk as a villain he was fine imo
i loved season 4 knida lol
I also liked how death stroke came back
Season 8 is amazing when you look at it with the context of the other shows and the overall dc universe, everything built up to crisis so I thought it was a good final season though it very well could’ve ended at 7

7. Season 3: Ray Palmer, Ra’s Al Ghul, Talia and Tatsu are awesome characters but the plot is nothing extraordinary except the Brick subplot
6. Yet. (That’s the first show with Green Arrow in the title)
Some not season specific comments about the series:
The best character dynamic of all is Barry and Oliver even though is not much frequent every time they talk you can see it evolved from the last
I don’t think in the first couple seasons Stephen Amell was a great actor but as the series runned I saw that he really evolved
The best thing about this series is the transitions between present and flashbacks
I don’t remember much of the older seasons so I may have made some mistakes
Overall I think this is the Comic Book live action series I like the most even if is not the best
(I took almost an hour to write all of this)
I respect this but why do you think that the season 5 torture episode didn't have many consequences?
Am I the only one that actually enjoyed season 3 ???

FYI:
SUPERHEROES IN PRISON:
NOT COOL
Luckily they made up for it a bit in Season 7 and were able to pull it back together for the big finale in Season 8.

6: Season 7 (Started off strong but fell of towards the middle)(5.5/10)

4: Season 8 (I was very interested in the Crisis idea from start to end)(8/10)
3: Season 1 (A strong introduction to one of the best shows ever!)(9/10)
2: Season 2 (Has an abundance of so many incredible episodes)(9.5/10)
1: Season 5 (The main storyline is the most well-written of the show)(10/10)
My list
Season 6: worst
Season 3
Season 7
Season 8
Season 5
Season 1
Season 2: best
Lol I love how you left Season 4 out
Why is season 6 so low? For me It's the best.
I like 4
@@davidhopper9793 that is quite a controversial opinion but i respect it.
Jóhann Kumara I liked the main villain he was so evil
Season 4 and 3: Bad
Season 6 and 7: okay
Season 1,2, and 8: great
Season 5 : amazing
7 should have been a bit lower in my opinion. I agree about what you said about the prison arc vs. everything else in that season
Actually.... idk maybe not
This new set is fire bro. Camera quality is clean af
About Arrow, I personally loved Season 8 and the finale, although I could be biased since I really had no problem with all 8 seasons (except for Ricardo Diaz probably)
Is it just me that didn’t like the Diaz/Emiko villain combination?
I haven't seen all of season 8 yet so I'll do the other 7:
1. Season 2
2. Season 5
3. Season 1
4. Season 6
5. Season 3
6. Season 7
7. Season 4
Were does season 8 place, now when you have watched it?
Arrow was my first series. Season 1 and 2 have a special place in my heart. Too bad the show had its ups and downs (especially downs) after. Tho, I will never forget Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and this show !
I'm surprised Season 7 was so high. After the prison arc it was so bad I can't put over any season other than season four
8. Season 4
7. Season 7
6. Season 3
5. Season 6
4. Season 8
3. Season 5
2. Season 1
1. Season 2
My list (worst to best)
8. Season 4
7. Season 6
6. Season 3
5. Season 7
4. Season 1
3. Season 2
2. Season 8
1. Season 5
Same list except season 8 as first because it was my favorite season to watch loved every episode except the Blackfoot episode
Kaden Harris same
I haven't seen anything after season 4 yet so my list:
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
Season 4
Tasneem Ahsan watch season 5 already the start is awesome
Prison arc in season 7 is worth it also but just those episodes res of the season very boring
My personal ranking of the best Arrow seasons
1. Season 2: definitely the best. Slade was terrifying, lots of emotional moments, Olicity wasn’t a thing, Sara was a badass
2. Season 1: everything is perfect. The authenticity, the atmosphere, the songs, dramas, actions, all well-rounded. They wasted The Huntress potential to become main character in later seasons
3. Season 8: the entire season is about Crisis on Infinite Earths though it’s out of place. Earth-2 Laurel becomes legit my favorite in this season, I think she has become one true original Black Canary. What I don’t like is how vague Oliver’s death was
4. Season 5: Prometheus is definitely the best villain hands down, yet I hate their new introduced characters. I feel like the new heroes are complete mess
5. It’s just that they have too many Felicity scenes, so cringey they must get rid of
6. Season 3: even though Sara was eventually resurrected, I still don’t like how this show killed her and Malcolm’s involvement. Not to mention they really nerfed the League of Assassins. The Flash’s appearance is truly a plot armour, degrading one entire season imo. Ra’s Al Ghul’s motive to destroy the city was also weak, it could be better
7. Season 7: one of few things I like about this season is about Earth-2 Laurel redemption. Oliver’s prison arc also brings back how cool this show once was, but besides that meh. Emiko was the worst villain, the storyline is weird imo including in the possible future
8. Not to mention that weird scene of Samantha collapsing and just died like that
My opinion:
1) S2
2) S1
3) S3
4) S8
5) S5
6)S6
7)S4
8)S7 (I loved it, specially the first half of the season but I didn't like the idea of everyone knowing Green arrow's identity and him and the team working with the police)
Season 7 lost me once they killed off Diez cuz he was a good villain, just like the Joker he just wanted to watch Oliver's city burn.
I started watching during Season 4, but the first season I watched on the air was Season 5
My ranking of the seasons is as follows:
1. Season 2
2. Season 5
3. Season 1
4. Season 8
5. Season 7
6. Season 3
7. Season 6
8. Season 4
I have to ask because it’s been so long I can’t remember. Did Oliver ever actually eliminate everyone on the list?
To me the show lost it after season 5. i just wanted a batman like show, with no magic and sci fi. It's no wonder season 1 to 3 are the best.
Yes season 8 may not be the show they set up, but it’s the show it grew into and I really enjoyed it for me it’s one of my favorite seasons
Edit: Your saying that he didn’t die on his own show. But he did. He died twice in the crossover on the second time it was his episode which was the proper death so WHAT DO YOU MEAN.
Not trying to argue know this is your opinion love your channel man
