This is Michael. Great review overall, and the ambient lighting is awesome especially since it's completely under the user control. The one mistake you made was Not having the digital headlights to show off. Especially since this is a night oriented TH-cam. The digital lighting is the best on any car in the world, including Tesla.
Bought the 2023 c300 starling blue with the grey seats. Amg Line .But love the red seats. I did notice how cheap Mercedes is not putting the puddle lights are non existent in the rear doors, not that I would be using them but would have been nice. I had them in my c450 with all 4 doors with logos it looked awesome. Should have got the bur-mister but did not have available . And I wanted the all wheel drive but settled for rwd. I do like the white .
Check out the new $1,100 Digital Lights package. You just drive with brights all the time. The “pixels” mask approaching traffic in real time. Symbols like turn arrows are projected on the road. Much more. Lights swing down or up on hills, left or right on turns.
I bought this car just a few months ago. 2023 C300 with night package. I absolutely love it. My question is the interior LED trim lighting.... I have almost all of the lights you have, but for some reason the lights that accent the air vents, and the console and door trim. My car has all of the interior LED accent lights except for those few areas. Is there a setting I am missing or is there a software update perhaps? Anyone else know anything about this?
For full lighting like this you need to add the pinnacle or exclusive package options. If not you just get the floors, doors, along the roof a little and console top, which is still nice.
They removed the ambient light on the vents and the rear door handle and arm rest on the door panel for 2024. Is there any way to request the to put it in if you were to buy it custom ordered from the factory.
I recently had the roof control unit in my Mercedes C200 W206 replaced, and now the ambient lighting is missing. The dealer claimed it's no longer produced, but others from Mercedes confirmed it is still available and suggested it might just need to be reprogrammed. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any insights or similar experiences would be helpful. Thanks!
I just customized my 2023 C class (no difference from the 22) I got the 4matic exclusive with AMG night line package. Question though. DO you know if all C classes get the mercedes light emblem when you open the door?
If you mean the Mercedes light from side mirrors onto the ground, then all c classes w206 have it as standard in all trim levels. Got mine in February 2022, and dealer told me it was standard : )
The driver seat legroom is compromised because of that wide curved middle dash resulting on your right knee cramming, rubbing and hitting the plastic panel resulting in discomfort. To me this is a major ergonomic design flaw by Mercedes. They focus towards that giant ipad screen instead.
I bought this car in June, same exterior and interior colors. I got the premium trim though, so I don't have head-up display or the extra ambient lighting. I'm not entirely satisfied with it, so I'm hoping to trade it in a year or two.
@Yahia Gouda Not major issues, but I should have waited for the 2023 BMW 3 series. That's what I was originally shopping for, but the wait was too long. I think the 3 series is a bit faster, and nicer looking on the exterior. Also, the c class is a little too low on the front where the bottom grazes my driveway. I'm not miserable about my decision, but just have a little regret.
@@blueb4829 Haha yeah you’re actually pretty lucky to have it right now… I’ve been waiting on it for ages now and the dealerships are struggling really hard on availability. As you said, you can always trade it in for a 3 series!
@@Love-ck3gd Yeah. Probably because you got the premium trim and not one of the higher trims (I think they have 3 trims). I didn't even know about enhanced lighting until I bought the car, but honestly, I think the lighting in the premium trip is adequate. Too much ambient lighting along the center console and elsewhere makes the car look gimmicky in my opinion. I think the head-up display would have been a nice feature though, which I don't have.
I was just about to say that the ambient lighting looks sweet but way too over the top, but then I saw you could lower the brightness which makes it much more classy and less over the top. A solid 5 or 6 out of 20 would be an elegant amount imo. 20/20 looks like you're doing too much and in a club or some shit lmao

It's because Mercedes wants you to get the digital package for $1100 which gives you better than fog lights because they are adaptive and cornering and black out oncoming cars while leaving the rest of the brights on
The ambient light doesn't look as good as I'd expect it to be on a 'premium car'. The graphical interface on the tablet looks like an interface from a 10 years old monitor, not a premium car.

Ambient lighting aren’t reliable it stops working in a lot of Mercedes and other cars and all that light is distracting while driving, I feel Mercedes over did it with lighting.
The future in "status symbols" in regards to cars is not Mercedes benz. The future status symbol in cars is: Rolls Royce Tesla Bentley Porsche Ferrari Modified Jeeps and trucks (Ram / Ford Lightening) Hummer EV truck Lamborghini Maserati McLaren Aston Martin Bugatti Koenigsegg Pagani Cars that are losing their status symbol in the future: - Mercedes Benz - Cadillac - BMW - Audi - jaguar - Corvette - Ford Bronco
I think Mercedes is definitely losing the status symbol due to becoming less luxury and more towards technical. Plus they offering too many options at a cheaper price which makes anyone buy them thus losing status symbol.
