Yup, bending rods at 400HP sure is unlike Honda's of the past. The original K20A/A2/Z1 and K24A/A2/A3 made ~100HP less than these stock for stock, yet they can make 500-600+ HP on stock internals depending on how long you want it to last. It sure seems like these newer engines aren't overbuilt from the factory like their predecessors were.
400hp from the K20C1 engine and bending rods? pure nonsense!!! Time has shown that the engine can safely handle about 500 hp for a long time under conditions of gentle torque at low revs ☝
My K20c1 is making 566whp on 100% stock engine - guys have made 630whp with cams. With built versions they are making 842whp on limited fuel due to the direct injection fuel pump and space limitations for the size of turbo that fits under the hood. They were bending rods at 400+torque at low rpm - these engines will spool a turbo up faster than any old k20a due to the direct injection and tiny stock turbo. Try making 450+ftlbs of torque at 3k rpm on a stock k20a3 and let me know what happens 😂
@@TheFK8Life Good to know, but I'm confused by your comparison to the K20A3 since that was the lowest end early K20 while the K20C1 is the highest end modern K20. If we are going to compare new to old, wouldn't comparing the new K20C1 to the K20A/Z Type S/R engine or K24A2 TSX engine and comparing the K20A3 to the K20C2 in the base Civic make more sense? Or we could compare the L15 Civic Si engine to the old performance K20/K24's since they are all around the same 200HP and were used in similar applications.
For such a reputable brand to lie to help sell their products this is a new low. The k20c1 isnt weak they make alot of torque down low thats what bends rods. Shift the torque right and you'll be fine. All 4g63 and 4b11 have this problem aswell. C'mon 4pistons do better.
Exactly. People will tune these cars incorrectly and without any regard for managing torque and then blame the engine if it fails. When managing torque, there are lots of these with bigger turbos making 500-550whp on stock internals reliably
@@dinkleberg2013 I totally agree. Time has shown that the engine can safely handle about 500 hp for a long time under conditions of gentle torque at low revs. It is nonsense and stupidity to tune an engine that has the same bore and stroke to the character of a diesel engine..
Great video. The market for this engine is going to be massive.
Can you guys do a K20C1 teardown video demonstrating some features and weak points?
We like the idea!
What made 4piston pick the Honda K20C over engines like the VW EA888 or BMW B48?
Nice video, interesting Informations about the K20C.
Hope u get bigger on YT, best wishes from germany. 😁
Can you replace the turbo on the k20c by replacing it by a super charger sir
Do you have a stage-1 package for the K20C1? And what does it all come with or is it just a entirely stock block with bolt ons to make it tunable?

Bro this video is 3 years old. People are getting 600 plus outta these lmao just because someone sounds professional don’t mean they are

Will this fit in my 2.0T ?
He didnt mention the fact that there is not DI fuel pump for the car and it will limited to 400whp with stock fuel pump
it has a direct injection fuel pump.. driven by the intake cam.
Aftermarket CDFP (XDI) and port injection (hondata&PRL) now available to reach those HP figures.
These engines are now making 850whp - still fuel limited but big gain over 400whp
Who is Wilson? channel?
When cash flow starts coming my way I’m gonna try and do a little project with my DC5
Edit: I like Wilson. He’s legit
wow 1000hp
but heard would be undrivable.
i think 500hpish is just okay.
4 Piston Racing + Red Star Motoring, when?
4 pistons are the best .
All the record setters have 4 pistons engines under the hood.
They can get over 500 bhp from a naturally aspired k24 .
4 Piston is one hell of a shop for sure!
Wow
He said over 100 whp gain over sto9with motech is this with bolt ons or without
He literally said without touching any other part of the car except adding some ethenol.
Now send me one! Right now!
If this engine should get a 4Piston set up, I would definitely like them to develop 11:1 compression pistons
I’m curious why so that compression ratio specifically?
Could get 600 hp out of it
Lol
My type r has 560 hp and runs perfectly
I hate the feel of turbos, I miss the old raw power engines and the vtec, guess I'll have to get a bmw/supra now
Who put this poor guy in front the camara,😭
stiff as a board and scared shite less.
Let the man do his job that he’s passionate of.
Reading off a script if you can see his eye movement 🥴 the enthusiasm is real
Fast and furious, what a god awful series of movies.
What do you expect from Hollyweird lol
The made a street racing movie with advice of show car hard parkers lol Total disaster
