It's nice to see all the mods the professionals do. Strange to see the intake on the other side of the car, I wonder what the performance differences are.
Any thoughts on adding a wet sump like an Accusump on your race Type R? Im thinking of adding it as insurance to keep everything critical well oiled. Reason being Im at 686hp
Could you not just swap the head? Noticed you have done a number of head gasket changes what is the root cause overheat? Is it mainly on track and what can we do to prevent. I appreciate with an endurance engine different cup of tea.
No when the head gasket is blown the head could warp and not seal properly. Both mating surfaces have to be milled or replaced with a new bare head to build and the short block mating surface decked, usually done after sleeving with ductile iron sleeves.
Hooray racecar content! That motor is properly full of gloop. Happy Christmas 🤙🏼
Merry Christmas to you too! It was properly mucky!
Awesome video Phil! Keep the race car content coming. See you soon mate
Cheers Tim! 💪

Are there any benefits of moving the air intake to the other side?

Good question! We actually got 2 with the spares that came with the car. We've been considering whether or not to run it on the car 🤔
Amazing job guys 😍
Thank you!
What was the reason of the internal coolant leak?
Probably a blown head gasket, had the same problem with this engine. Could also be a crack in the cylinder head or cylinder wall
I don’t mind at all to watch 35 minutes of this kind of content.
We'll definitely be bringing longer videos on this car, especially once this year really kicks off. Thank you for watching! 💪🔥
