Doesn’t matter if I watched previous videos on same topic, every video I watch of Judy’s has some new gold nuggets. Thank you dear for all your work and generosity. ❤️
I spent a ton on a board certified allergist for my Pit Bull. She said for protein I needed to provide rabbit. UGH! I'm in a hunting state and had a heck of a time locating rabbit. There are some stores that might carry frozen rabbit and I just found out a lot of Asian stores carry frozen rabbit. I convinced a woman I found online who raised rabbits for food, that I wasn't going to rat her out. It was way cheaper than the store, yet she was a way from me.
I am looking forward to all your interviews talking about pet allergies. I have a toy poodle, 10 years old that for the past 7 years he has been chewing, biting, and scratching himself. I have fed him it seems all the different diets (non kibble) that I have heard about over the years. He also has ear issues. Thank you for addressing this issue.
I am curious what you recommend for those of us that cannot afford to feed our animals raw food or some of these very expensive foods. I have large dogs and a lot of dogs. I have rescued many. We have 7 dogs on a small farm. Four of them are large breeds. I know that dry kibble is terrible. I use holistic medicine for our entire farm. What do you recommend to feed them to make the price for their diet much more pocket friendly? I really would like to feed them better but I need an option comparable to what I'm already paying for dry food. Thanks for the help in advance 😌
If I had a dog with "allergies" I wouldn't be looking to "support" them, I'd want them GONE. To aim lower is just buying into the veterinary and medical LIE that allergies are only 'manageable' instead of reversible! And it's just about product selling, not what's strictly best for dogs. Allergies are fully reversible with proper feeding! The diet must be very low fat, RAW, properly combined (no meat and plant foods together) and home prepped.
I'll tell you what worked for a client of mine. I'm a 25 year raw feeder but I knew he'd never feed raw so I suggested he feed kibble only every other day. On the other days he was to feed ONLY two foods: cooked quinoa and sweet potatoes 50/50. He did that and 6 months later his dog was like a puppy again. 3 years later no more weight problems, dull coat or recurring ear infections. The dog glows and has boundless energy. Daily kibble produces so much waste in the body that the eliminative organs can't keep up. That's why it comes through the skin and ears!
Our french bulldog was a little over 3 months old when he came to us.he was fed royal.canin for french bulldog. He had no issues then. I tried giving him fruits, even raw vegetables. He loved human food. A short while later we noticed he stinks and was having hives on the abdomen and his fur were falling. We stopped giving these food to him and then.back to royal canine. However my son who provided for him thought it was heavy on his budget as he has other pets. He bought him Holistic dog food. Tho the dog seemed fine with that the hairfall didnt stop. I bought him royal canin but this time he itched and has hives. So we fed him Holistic again. But i want to wean him off processed food and just feed him natural food. Is this allergic reaction has something to do with gut health?
My shih-tzu has suffered since last Oct with hives...she's been on hydrolyzed diet almost a year due to bloody stool that stopped last Oct...few days before hives started:( I give her half a benadryl every night to keep hives away...tried several new foods and she ends up with stomach pain or more hives. It's a real struggle to say the least! I am going to try the 'leaky gut protocol' by Adored Beast to see if this will fix her gut. I am going to try cooked rabbit too. I tried freeze-dried rabbit (only 2 small pieces) and within a few hours she was shaking and acted like her stomach hurt. Julie Anne Lee is owner of Adored Beast and has several videos on YT you can watch to research leaky gut. I feel sure this is my dogs problem. Now if I can just get her on a good novel protein diet that want cause hives or stomach pain!
I have a frenchie that was on apoquel for 2 years...then a cancer diagnosis. And I thought I was doing something good for her. She's now off apoquel and I'm feeding her raw...

Are you using any holistic medicine with him?
