I have to say something here. My dog is so itchy that I get her an allergy shot every six months at $85 a pop. Yesterday I was wishing that you would release a video for a natural way to help my dog. Here you are today, doing just that. THANK YOU! ❤️
First, try a species appropriate raw food diet - pray model. Our last dog got diabetes, so I did a deep dive into what are dogs supposed to eat. Dog’s DNA is 99.999 wolf, what does a wolf eat? So I fed our next dog a raw food diet since he was about three or four years old. He transitioned to best dog heaven at 17 years of age and virtually had no sickness or physical problems, not even an ear infection, and he had floppy ears.😊❤🎉
I had the same problem. Best thing I ever did was send my dogs saliva in to Nutri Scan labs to determine food intolerance. No more constant itching, no more hot spots, no more bloody diarrhea (he has pretty severe food allergies) just a happy dog and happy human now.
My vet wanted me to do that 85 dollar monthly shot to, I told him I will spend that money on raw food, prebiotic and omega 3 for my small dog. Within months, he was back to his normal self , the vet didn't believe it when I told him
As a PharmD, I recommend you melt the ingredients in a double boiler. Less chanse of scorching. Also, I'd add calendula oil. It prevents scarring and is antibacterial. Also, the calendula flower is considered GRAS.
I am studying aromatherapy and yes use a double boiler or you can use a Pyrex glass measuring cup with a handle and place that in a appropriate size pot that the Pyrex glass measuring cup handle can rest outside the pot so you can remove the Pyrex from the water pot when it’s finished melting and pour easily into the container you will use. heat the bees wax first as it takes the longest to melt, then, shea butter, then the other oils so the other oils do not get over heated. Use a pot holder on the handles to move the Pyrex cup to pour in the container you will use.
Dr Jones, i used your green tea, lavendar, apple cider vinegar tincture in my dog and it worked wonders. Thank you. I also made a coconut oil, cbd, thc tincture for the painful spots and in 2 days the swelling went down and its noticable hes not in pain anymore. Great advice from a great vet! Blessings to you and your fur family!
Thank you Dr Jones for your natural remedy for doggy pneumonia, my little girl is getting better everyday. I gave her green tea and raw unfiltered honey, also started giving her ivermectin.
Making this for my pups and me...wish you were my vet, thank you for caring and sharing. I like to refer your channel to anyone who will listen, you and your fur babies are truly are the best. Love you guys ❤🙏❤
This looks good for people's skin also! I think I will make some for me (I don't have a dog!). I actually have organic castor oil and coconut oil. I just need the other ingredients.
I got all the ingredients and made some last night and it melts great, and I let it cool just five minutes before putting in the jars (because it was solidifying in the pan if cooled 15 minutes). It seems very effective on some psoriasis dry areas in my face. This works! Sort of solid, but liquefies on contact. Now I just need to label the jars. Also, once set, it can come out of the refrigerator. It stays set. Christmas gifts?
I made this cream today for my sons dog. I used it on my itchy skin just now, it worked quickly on calming the itch, very impressed🇦🇺thanks to this fabulous vet. Looking forward to see how it works on my son’s dog..
I was excited to run across this video and I bought everything I needed to make it. I love the smell of it!! Unfortunately, my dog has both allergies and seborrhea sicca. This ointment actually made her scratch more and I had to promptly wash it off with oatmeal and aloe soap. I couldn't figure out why this happened, so I did some research. Turns out that sunflower oil and coconut oil both actually worsen seborrhea. In fact, any oil with long-chain fatty acids and oleic acid will worsen fungus infections of the skin and seborrhea. The article I ran across recommended using MCT oil instead of regular coconut oils and Squalane oil instead of the sunflower oil. I have yet to try it, but figured I'd post this just in case there is someone else with a dog who has seborrhea or a fungal skin infection predisposition. More and more I'm learning that not everything "natural" is also healthy. It just depends on all the details.
@@kooky2 Unfortunately have not as yet. The shea butter went sour and smelled awful. I would need to get more of that as well. Once I got her off of the food that she was allergic to, I haven't needed to pursue it. The seborrhea took some time to resolve, but it eventually did as well. Vet said she had a bacterial skin infection caused from the skin breakdown from the allergy. It was like a domino effect all from the food she couldn't tolerate.
I made this cream via your recipe. I love this stuff and will be making a larger batch tomorrow. Our German Shepherd Loki has had some serious itchies, food allergy related as per our vet. He fought me tooth and nail when I first started using it, now he knows it gives him relief so he lets me lather it on with no fuss. I also started giving him the Bee Propolis recently hoping to get this somewhat under control. About a month ago I started making his dinners from scratch too. Poor baby was itching so bad... vet initially thought it was allergies, but never figured out which, then thought it might be his thyroid, etc, etc, etc... after spending close to $2,000. on vet and meds and blood tests he got better and started growing back from the bald spots. Dr Jones, I don't know if you'll see this, but I wanted to let you know I made a batch of your skin anti-inflammation cream, and put it on one of my dogs who struggles with hotspots. It was just the beginning of one, but within a day or so, the skin had returned to normal, still looked red but it was smooth, and he stopped chewing. The recipe made a little under a cup (8 oz), I poured it into two 4-oz mason jars with the plastic lids, labeled one for humans and one for animals. It is a wonderful hand cream for humans too, quick absorbing but leaves just the slightest feeling of protection, not sticky at all. Really great for cuticles and for healing wounds. Thank you!
Going to try this , my dogs been on steroids 5 times this year with skin allergies all are 6 weeks long and no improvement , we are now looking into natural routes
I make my own skin care products because my skin is so dry; nothing else helps. Because of this, I actually have all of this stuff on my shelf already! :D
Recently had someone chew me out bc he "NEVER HEARD OF SOMETHING SO OBSURD!" as to put coconut oil on my dog's skin 😅 i did my research first and im so glad I found your videos! Thank you 👍❤
Thank you so much for all your videos, Two of my dogs(Litter mates) were first diagnosed with seasonal allergies, $500.00+ and then on the 2nd visit it was determined that it could be mange $400.00+ for that. It made sense to me that it wasn't allergies since they both had it. I gave them a Lyme dip one time and knew I would never do it again, so I was so happy I found your videos, they are looking so good. I have Neem oil arriving today, to combat yeast issues they're having and will try it for natural insect spray.
Thank you for this!! I made this a while ago. I was able to use it on my dog 2 days ago. She cried in relief when I applied it. I felt terrible. Allergy season sneaks up on me sometimes. The following morning she was 75% healed!! I applied a third dose last night and told my husband to look at how much better her arm pits were. He was shocked!!! I took my other allergy pup to our new curious vet and mentioned it and how well it worked. He asked me to bring some in. I’ll bring it with the recipe and the recipe for your yeast spray that I also love and works so well!!! Thank you for all you do to help us help our pets!!!!
i make my own as well, for dogs i add in camelina oil, and a couple drops per large jar ...oregano and rosemary oil, ....i'm making one with colloidal silver being stirred in after it's cool enough and not yet set tho.
be very cautious with rosemary oil, some dogs can't tolerate it...I learned the hard way as during covid I couldn't get the regular food...20 mins after using a similar food she had a seizure...this kept up and I knew it had to be something different in this food...it had rosemary...stopped giving her that...and the seizures stopped.
I also use a piece of cotton wool and dip in H2O2 3% solution and wipe directly onto the itchy skin. After a few minutes, I then apply some oil such as coconut oil or olive oil to help the skin being dried out. It works for me, easy and simple.
Thank you so much for the recipe, my 2 year old bully is white and fair, she is going nuts here in the winter and digging holes in herself. Works awesome and i put in 1 tbsp of your home made cream and her prescrip add half a tsp.. the vet even wrote it down after he saw what the mix did!!! Love from Canada ps she doesnt have fleas, she has allergies and fair skin
This is helpful thank you the vet gave my small dog anti itch med it did not help her at all n got worse n she gets bad reactions to vet meds in past so I look for natural skin remedies now
Tysvm. I just added everything except the beeswax to my foid order foe today. The beeswax will be here in 3 days Thank you again because her vets got her addicted to predizone and benadryl . Thank you❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉

I have ordered all the ingredients and will make this tomorrow. My GSD has been itching and scratching,I'm sure it's a repeat fungal infection but the vet said her black, itching armpits are too dry and shaved her chest because it was too damp.Prescribed Apoquel ,which didn't work before, and wants her to wear a surgical suit. I shall try this ointment first.
I use, love and depend on your Ultimate Canine Advanced Plus supplement. My 3 year old Pitbull has no skin problems because of this supplement. I rescued him when he was 1 and hes been on it all along .. love your products and advice.
Thanks, Dr. Jones! I no longer have a dog, but this is great for dry patches on my skin due to psoriasis! 😊 I like that the ingredients are fresh and I can make this any time I need more! It also smells great and I added a few drops of Frankincense essential oi from the resin to my jar for me. And Frankincense is also antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory. The fragrance is very grounding and pleasant. But I would just use the basic recipe for a dog or cat. And the basic recipe smells like coconut!
Thank you for all the info you give us for our fur babies. I hate chemicals which are just toxins. Hey I also love you products. Been using them for years now. My 12 yr old acts like a young puppy. They have made such a difference for him. So blessed to have found a holistic vet ❤
What's the best way to get this fully disbursed through the dog's fur to the skin? I have a senior rescue dog who is non-stop itchy and scratchy. She's so frail I'm only using natural remedies, but nothing has worked enough. Thanks for this, by the way. I'm trying ASAP.
Put small amount in the palms of your hands, rub together, apply to dog's coat working it into the skin and using your fingers to get down to the skin going down and then upward like a rake, this helps for longer coats. Then I take a brush and brush down ward then upward, this really helps to work applied solutions toward skin by going back and forth with a brush. My dog gets scared if I spray him, usually because it's cold, so I just spray into hand rub together then apply like above.
Thank you Dr Jones - wonderful! - I'm a holistic Therapist and have made herbal salves from comfrey, dandelion, and plantain using similar base oils for humans. It didn't occur to me that this could have a therapeutic application in furries amazing blessed be x
I'm definitely buying and making this concoction..sounds amazing ! I love watching your videos..I really hope this helps my girl stop the itching. Thank you so much for all your advice..you're amazing Dr Jones ❤️
Better yet, put the Mason Jar rings in the bottom of the pot, then put the jars on top of the rings, essentially making a double boiler. Put ingredients directly in the Mason Jars. Zero mess. No clean up.😉
I use something similar I make for my skin but how do you get on a dog’s skin through their fur? I have a Husky with skin issues & you cannot shave them!! I also have a Mastador (Mastiff/Labrador mix) that also has serious skin issues we’ve been dealing with for almost 2 yrs. I’m done giving her medication from the vet because they don’t help!! I started putting coconut oil & olive oil on her food which has helped a little.
, some calendula infused in the oils first, lavender essential oil is really nice too. I have been doing this combo for a few years, nice to see Dr Jones share this.
✨Dear Dr.A. Jones, I have been making my own cream for my dog . I did not have the bees wax but I did have a big jar of pure lanolin which is a thick consistency and superb barrier. I put it on after the cream preparation because my boy likes to lick off whatever I put on him . I’m hoping that the lanolin also probably tastes bad keeps my dog from licking off and removing the benefits that I am trying to achieve with the cream. I may have to apply it several times a day on his elbows and hocks . I have seen a difference in just 2 applications … I hope that the loose skin growth that’s like a skin tag on his one elbow and one dime sized callous on his hock will disappear . Straight castor oil and cannabis oil is good for all the lumps and bumps with a warm compress for greater absorption. A great healer is olive oil too! My dog is a senior Mastiff . Not the heavy boned Bull Mastiff . My Mastiff is the finer boned very active version like the original ancient Roman Mastiff’s. Tiger is his name and he’s just a beautiful Mastiff , he’s a dark brindle with a heavy coat . He is still quite active playing outside with me 2-3X a day = 2+ hrs of moving every day for 12 years now in November 2024. He prides himself in being a physical therapist and he is very good at that. He also is a very good athlete and plays different sports and loves fetching! His interesting hobby and talent is for finding Cryptids like the Sasquatch and others in the forests that we visit here in Southern Ontario Canada . I film as we are treated to the unseen world! Tigers teeth are wearing down now especially the front and canines 😔 . I am giving him yogurt and blueberries in the morning on his kibble and a piece cheese before bed hopefully this will protect his teeth. I hope he can build up some mineralization. He is eating a great new protein in his diet now and I had absolutely know idea that insect protein would be so good 😊 for him and the environment too ❣️ I had to block out my preconceptions and do the research . It’s so GOOD ! We have No more yeast problems in his ears & he doesn’t have dandruff or itch and he has good stool movements and loads of energy . He has arthritis here and there from strains and sprains and really cold winters here , but he is doing very well with cannabis oil for pain relief. I must say that Expensive dog foods that insist on food colourings 😡and bad preservatives are stupid , expensive and maddening. ☝️🐶 Manufacturers DIG this : DOGS don’t need or care about Food Colouring!!! Dr Jones , I will not buy kibble or anything else it if it has food colouring and bad oils. The manufacturers know it’s bad too! They say it’s complete on the packaging and what’s inside is , completely bad! I cook 👩🍳 for my dog too! ThankYou so much for all of your help , Dr. Jones ❤ Tula is as sweet as can be ❣️✨🌳🌲🐕🦺😊🕊️✨

Thank you!
So glad to hear that! ❤️
Going to try this , my dogs been on steroids 5 times this year with skin allergies all are 6 weeks long and no improvement , we are now looking into natural routes
You might like Reign Storm Samuel on YT. She solved her dog's allergy problems with most of these products and her dog is gorgeous!
im on the same boat, hows it going now?
Awesome! Will be definitely making this for the dogs!
Thank you Dr.Jones. Always so informative and helpful.
I make my own skin care products because my skin is so dry; nothing else helps. Because of this, I actually have all of this stuff on my shelf already! :D
Cool...gonna try it for my pets...Thank you for sharing!!!
Recently had someone chew me out bc he "NEVER HEARD OF SOMETHING SO OBSURD!" as to put coconut oil on my dog's skin 😅 i did my research first and im so glad I found your videos! Thank you 👍❤
I was just wondering what I could put on my German Shepherd who always gets itchy this time of year. Thanks so much!
Try zymox or just use what he saying it’s expensive for me.
Thank you.Got another recipe for my fur kiddos.❤
This guy is my all-time favorite vet in the whole world🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Dr jones
Thank you as always great learning from you your the best
Thank you so much for all your videos, Two of my dogs(Litter mates) were first diagnosed with seasonal allergies, $500.00+ and then on the 2nd visit it was determined that it could be mange $400.00+ for that. It made sense to me that it wasn't allergies since they both had it. I gave them a Lyme dip one time and knew I would never do it again, so I was so happy I found your videos, they are looking so good. I have Neem oil arriving today, to combat yeast issues they're having and will try it for natural insect spray.
PS chickweed and Plantain are also excellent for skins
Thank u for the information ❤ how to use it for dog 🐕 😊
Wow, here I was using aloe vera, which helps me with scratches that get itchy. Your recipe makes a lot more sense. Thank you. ❤
Bless you doc Jones for caring so much about our precious animals… have a blessed holiday 🌲⛄️❤️🙏🏻
ty for sharing my doggie is always itchy great recipe for my precious fur baby
Great, glad it works
i make my own as well, for dogs i add in camelina oil, and a couple drops per large jar ...oregano and rosemary oil, ....i'm making one with colloidal silver being stirred in after it's cool enough and not yet set tho.
be very cautious with rosemary oil, some dogs can't tolerate it...I learned the hard way as during covid I couldn't get the regular food...20 mins after using a similar food she had a seizure...this kept up and I knew it had to be something different in this food...it had rosemary...stopped giving her that...and the seizures stopped.
@@savannahsmiles1797 Whoa! Poor baby, great info. TY
Nice, thank you!❤
Awesome 😎 😊
Thank you so much for all the great natural remedies you post. You're the BEST!

I am surprised you didn't suggest some essential oils. I can think of several that could be added, like lavender, camomile, tea tree...
Thanks for sharing!!❤️
I put lavender essential oil in mine.
How many drops?
Thank you Dr. For All these tips....I Love You❤
Sooo needed
this recipe!
Thank You so much! ♥️
My pleasure 😊
Any suggestions for a dog that will easily start licking this cream up as soon as its put on their skin? Great video!
Use a cone to prevent licking
@@SherineMokmayching My dog is able to do some licking of her body even with a cone... 😢
Thank you! So simple! I will do it for a stray cat who has this problem. 🐈⬛😻😽
Thank you Dr Jones ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have a shelter pet that seems to be a Brussels Griffon mix. He has dandruff and itchy skin year-round pretty much all over the area that is covered in fur. What is the best way to apply this cream?

Castor oil should be organic and hexane-free. And sold in amber jar, not a plastic one.
I heard that even if it says hexane free, it might not be! 😢 There is no guarantee.
Castor oil /after white vinegar in bath water, healed my Malti-poo of yeast.
Where can I find it online, please?
@@DOBBS64 was it also from this channel?
@@SueEllenInWA Ive tried 3 different brands this by far is the purest. It has so many amazing uses for people and pets. It took a pre cancerous growth off my forehead by applying at night before bed, it dried right up and fell off.
Thank you!
Thanks Dr. Jones! Awesome stuff for all of us!!
My pleasure!
Always love watching another video from you with helpful information for my fur babies. You have helped me and so many outhers.Thank you
My left ear enjoyed this.
Thank you so much Dr. Jones! I have all the ingredients and I will prepare it for my doggie; she has very sensitive skin. ❤
I use, love and depend on your Ultimate Canine Advanced Plus supplement. My 3 year old Pitbull has no skin problems because of this supplement. I rescued him when he was 1 and hes been on it all along .. love your products and advice.
Thank you for being an angel on earth
Thanks, Dr.
Glad to hear that! Thank you for sharing. ❤️
I'm going to make this for my girl, she's itching and licking her paws all the time. I'm going to use it too! Thanks for sharing this!
I am watching because you have the best remedies that us huuuumans can use .
Thankyou .
It's my pleasure
I'm definitely buying and making this concoction..sounds amazing ! I love watching your videos..I really hope this helps my girl stop the itching. Thank you so much for all your advice..you're amazing Dr Jones ❤️
A double boiler should be used. And Organic Castor Oil in an amber glass bottle.
Better yet, put the Mason Jar rings in the bottom of the pot, then put the jars on top of the rings, essentially making a double boiler. Put ingredients directly in the Mason Jars. Zero mess. No clean up.😉
I have been using black cumin seed oil on my kitty as well as myself and boy does it work.
Just gotta say I made it without the beeswax because I was out and it’s become my own personal favorite moisturizer!
That's awesome to hear! 😊
God bless you Dr. Jones!
this should work for my own itchy leg...worth a try
It’s definitely worth a try! I use it myself too, and it’s been great. 😊
Thank you,Thank you from my itchy dog.
You're welcome 🙏
Thank you. Awesome.
I believe this might help me and my pets. Thank you.❤
You are most welcome! You can get a copy of my free book at www.veterinarysecrets.com
Thank you for helping us with our fur kids.
How often should I apply the cream?
, some calendula infused in the oils first, lavender essential oil is really nice too. I have been doing this combo for a few years, nice to see Dr Jones share this.
Thanks for sharing!!❤️
He is eating a great new protein in his diet now and I had absolutely know idea that insect protein would be so good 😊 for him and the environment too ❣️
I had to block out my preconceptions and do the research .
Jones ❤ Tula is as sweet as can be ❣️✨🌳🌲🐕🦺😊🕊️✨
This is great to know! I’m making this cream for my dog tomorrow…then I’ll let you know the results in a week 👍🏽
