A Busy Morning in Moonee Ponds (ft. V/Line N 458) ~ 02/01/2024 (HD)

On Tuesday January 2, my Melbourne correspondent (whose name I will not disclose) filmed a good number of Metro and V/Line trains going through Moonee Ponds on the Craigieburn Line. We'll see plenty of the usual Comeng and Siemens 'Nexas' EMUs, as well as the V/Line Sprinter diesel railcars on the Southern Cross to Seymour service.
Strangely, my friend also saw an N class diesel locomotive heading north with some H-set coaches in tow. We're both confused, as we don't know what N 458 was up to. It's normally the VLocity and Sprinter units that run on this line.
(I will be going over to Melbourne myself for a few days in June 2024, with the aim of filming as many suburban, V/line and interstate passenger trains as possible. I'll also be visiting the Puffing Billy Railway and Newport Railway Museum).
