Just added some 6 LED lights to my HOSIM 9125 and took it out for a night drive. Look and work fantastic. Being able to know which way the RC is facing with the lights is fantastic!

Yeah I have a 2s 25c and a 3s 25c or 30c I can't remember off hand. The 3s is crazy! It's honestly almost too much for a truck as light as the Slash is lol!

Don't forget about other aftermarket option light bars and light buckets. Onetoomanyrcs has some great light bars and RC4WD has some great options as well. Some people like me don't like running off the receiver and chose to hook them up to a 9 volt. I've done the receiver before and it gets annoying when you have roof lights. Having to unplug them and wires dangling. Many light options out there.

Great video on How To..... I have some LED lights and it come with a JST connector which confuses me. I've seen this JST on other things like a fan. But my question is where do i connect that JST plug ?
JST may be connected to any power source with 4.8-6V and you may plug it in any empty receiver cannel. Receiver plugs are different, as they have three connectors (negative, positive, signal), but you may still plug something else in there. So you want to plug JST into just two (negative and positive) connectors in the slot.
How many milliamperes can the receiver supply to the lights. I would think their is a limit on the number or size of leds’ you can install as far as power demand. I guess you could install a mini relay to power the lights if the power demand gets too high

I have the MYTRICK rc light kit on my Gen 8 Scout. It seems to turn the whole truck off if I am going through deep water. I tried putting conforming coating, and it does the same thing. Do I need to ditch the light kit?

The least expensive upgrade is - gearing. Try changing gears first. and you still be able to run Lipo batteries with your stock Motor/Esc (which is faster), just don't forget to switch mode.

With aftermarket stuff you really want to double-check. Everything is doable in RC world, but there are no guarantee that mounting holes, would perfectly match etc and you would need to make custom bracket etc. So I recommend to check in-store with sales or tech, to make sure that everything is perfect.

I love my slash and I've also upgraded to a 2s LiPo which is a 7.4 volt 35c which is the lowest recommendation as far as I found.

You need just to power them, use Y-cable and plug LEDs in any channel.

Try some robotics stores selling DIY stuff (RC stores normally do not carry these)

Battery type doesn't matter, Lipo is just a power source.

The best rc truck, car, boat, and helicopter is hpi racing they put real mini engines that run on nitro fuel and the parts are so realistic.

Sure you can, you just want to double-check scale and make sure that you have a spare channel on your receiver or get a Y-cable.

LEDs need a special setup, if you power them off of the battery they will strobe.

Either by multiple Y-cables or by soldering into one plug
The light bar into the servo kinna makes it hard to open and close body without tugging the line. What should i do?
Use standard servo connector in the middle

No add a basic servo extension and every time you need to take it apart just unplug the cable.
