    Really cool tip. As a new builder I’m always looking for vids like this, but I think the star of the show is that Saito.😁👍

    Perfect video! thanks for taking the time to make this.
    I'm just getting ready to cut out an opening for a cylinder head to stick out the side of a cowling on a Spacewalker II and your tips and ideas will really help.
    I'll use the paper idea to also mark out the hole for the head.

    Nice video. Thanks!
    I'm not as good at eyeballing the spinner clearance and centering as you apparently are. I make a secondary disk from 1/6" balsa that matches the spinner backplate exactly. I put the balsa disk on first and then the metal backplate. This gives me exactly 1/16" clearance. I have used 1/32" plywood for this before but found it the cowl gets bumped in the slightest that that small amount of clearance can be compromised.

    Great Videos on this build!! I too have had to wait for my power safe receiver (Since September of 19) and got mine just last week from HH. Could you please make a video of the install of the receiver or go over where you installed everything/ how you routed the wires. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Also how are you powering your lights?

    You have used a laser level to align the motor and cowl. Great idea! What laser level do you have, there are a lot out there to pick from. Thanks

      Just a simple self leveling cross level. U can get them from Amazon or like Lowes or HomebDepot

    Any tips on what Dremel tips you used on the cutting on the cowl? What do you use to make those perfect cuts? Thanks!😎

      I used the smallest one I could find first. And worked my way bigger. First thing I did was run a fine point sharpie down the lowest part of each run first to have a line to follow

    Great video Sir! I've got a question if you do not mind me asking
    Since in new to RC planes all I've been flying are Flite Test foam planes. I do have Horizons Carbon Z150 but I like to go BIGGER. How do I do this? Could you direct me for something more challenging in the states? Thanks!

    • @JustPlaneCrazy
      @JustPlaneCrazy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you looking to stay foamie or go balsa? Balsa flys better. Your answer to that will guide my answer for you.

    • @av8tore71
      @av8tore71 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Balsa definitely

      Here is the upcoming secret diamond in the rough. Go to www.Gator-RC.com and look at the seagull model arfs. Tell them I sent you over. Let me know what u find I will be interested. I am starting a build now of one of their models. It’s a Texan 2. Watch for that series first of the new year. They are an awesome family run business. You can always reach them when you have a question

      Yeah thanks to Covid-19 I've been out of work since April so since then I got the RC bug. Since winter is here I'd like to get something to build over winter or when courts open back up (I'm a defense attorney) I have something to do haha

      I will definitely do that thank you so very much!! I usually like war birds but since my dad passed away I inherited the families 1965 Mooney M20C and would love to build a RV version of the Mooney but want to find something else first and learn how Balsa is then scratch build the Mooney. Again thank you so very much Sir! Be safe and I will be back to let you know what I come up with
