That’s a problem with ARFs. They are mass produced and the cowl was most likely made separately and painted without having the fuselage to check it with. It is what it is… I haven’t had many ARFs but I was nervous about test fitting wings to fuses. I know that it will be the first time those were put together. The nice thing about building an airplane as upposed to assembling one is you can test fit and modify the fit as you go and make it as perfect as you want.
@Dan Gellner I agree, dan. I prefer to build a plane from a box of wood. This is my first scratch build, (the tripacer). Half the fun is building it.. as a retired engineer, you can understand where i'm coming from... You can also make design changes if you see that it is necessary.... I have built a lot of planes since I was fifteen, and now i'm seventy. But, this is the first plane that has got everything. Electronic Ignition. A different style of setting up the servos together, for example, two in the elevators. Also, a complete lighting system.... I will, in the future, try to tap into your knowledge. Can we email each other? If so please let me know.
Lovely way to line up holes thank you
That's about the best way I've seen so far! Glad I saw that video!
A concept of what you're using to line up your cowl. I like that. I'm surprised they didn't land it up better at the factory..
