Louie is the the major reference point to my initial plunge into everything house-dance music back in mid 90s. I ve consumed, collected his work, and seen him live numerous times and many a interview …but never as detailed and intimate as this. Thank you Lenny.

Watching this interview for 2nd time allows me, us to hear how Mr.Vega was totally committed to his craft! What I find most amazing is that my upbringing is somewhat similar to Mr.Vega. The piano lessons, playing and listening to the great music of the 70’s and up. 77 WABC was the music of our time, which was a primary foundation for me personally. I dj now and have always desired to follow the blueprints of the greats ! Louie, Larry, Ted P. , Merlin Bob, Timmy R. And countless other greats... Lenny again I thank you brother for giving us the opportunity to hear and learn how our great DJ’s of today actually got their start !

I watched it live on Wednesday and I’m watching it again. I could listen 🎧 to Louie Vega all day every day 24/7 and there is no way on earth 🌍 I could ever get bored. With Louie you gain a hell of a great deal of knowledge and he to me he educates you well through Music. I just love his versatility of music genres besides House. And there’s no humbler person in the music 🔉🎵🎶 biz than Louie Vega right about now 😃🙏💜

I hope one day we get that kind of night back again. It was too great. I never missed a night. Do you remember Louie I would met you at 8 pm on Wednesday out side the club. And we would listen to all the new stuff. Both of us would rate tunes. I miss that soo much..

I simply hope one day..we will appreciate this kind of masters…..and this kind of music. I regretfully have to say that few of them are still alive (one is already gone…..Morillo RIP) and with them this quality music will be buried. And I’m madly sad about that….

Great series so far - love the deep digging!!! Keep it up the awesome work... You need to get Josh Milan, Abigail Adams (Movin' Records), Tony Humphries, Maurice Joshua, etc. You should get somebody to review yourself too... You're a legend - Butch Quick productions, Mass Production, Tension, House Dawgs Remix, Black Sun, the list goes on....

I remember seeing you at RDIC. Ray Vasquez Brought me there with him. And I remember hearing you play their. You didn't know but most of them with very jealous that you got the chance to play in they didn't. But you with turnit. I would bring again all records I bought cause I was a records junky. And they would be going to my bag to see what I had. In have a got his name but the owner got mad and told me not to bring on more records day or. Cause he only wanted them to play what he got from the record Company's Eddie Rivera is his name.
