Nant Syddion Bothy Overnight Camp, Cambrian Mountains

Myself Mark & Karen went on an Bothy adventure to Nant Syddion Bothy as my twin Simon was on dog minding duty lol, although from the video it appears we didn't enjoy the experience, we enjoyed it immensely and will definitely do it again, but the MBA have to give the old place some much needed TLC, the weather wasn't the best but Wales is the best place to explore period, thanks for watching Mark & Simon Twin Peaks Wild Camping x

@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors when we was kids we went here with my parents and 3 sisters it was a rental cottage gotta be about 30 years or so ago 😮 and it was the scariest thing I’ve ever done it was creepy lots of footsteps on the stairs at night the loo was next to the kitchen think by side of the fireplace and there was a coal shed there too must be blocked up now we left early didn’t stay for the full holiday as we were al terrified

I gotta say Simon I love the mist. I wouldn't all the time but when it's out I think it's magical. Sorry you didn't get a good night sleep mate. Maybe next time - I think you have to get a feel for these places - for dossing down. Maaan the back there was that beautiful I actually took a screen shot of your video at the end. Hi Mark, I know it didn’t look like it from the video but I did enjoy the night in the Bothy although it was a bit creepy lol but I’m a bit of a wuss sometimes, I have actually seen that video of Lluest Cwm Bach and very good it is too, in fact I had a look around that same Bothy about two days prior to going to this one but didn’t stay overnight, take care Simon & Mark.

Thanks mate for heading out that way with Karen. Good on you. I’ve been feeling drawn to giving a bothy a go and i thought that location was majestic. Mark from @wyeexplorer has been guiding me and building up confidence in being out on the trail in the Wye Catchment which is his and his late brother Paul’s spiritual home. Beautiful

Bothies aren't for everyone, you need to be comfortable staying in a house on your own, I've done it and I can see that if you have a very developed sense of imagination it would be easy to scare yourself. Maybe go with a few friends next time.

Hi Ian, I was with my partner Karen and I did the wrong thing by reading the bothy book in the evening instead of the morning lol and it had a few horror stories in there lol but it was ok and I will do it again most definitely 👍

We've just spent a couple of nights there (partly to see if we can experience the supposed haunting), and did experience some... shall we say, weird stuff. Unfortunately it's a new bothy book since October, so I can't see the old stories, and I'd love to compare notes.

The Bothy is around a three mile walk from the car park, it’s a nice walk very peaceful, we didn’t see one person all the time we were there.
