Stevie Ray Vaughan could play anything that Prince could. The opposite can't be said about Prince and Stevie.

@@LegendofmarlonSmith let’s not get into a pissing contest amongst artists. SRV was the most humble person you could meet. He never got into the “best” guitarist topics. He learned and played with the best guitarists and he never was one to up one on another artist. He took his compliments equally as his criticisms , with a grain of salt. Prince and SRV were great at their craft and you can’t compare them because of their genres and styles. I can simply say they both were outstanding guitarists and you can like who you like because of YOUR taste in music.

Yeah, no disrespect to Prince but there's no contest.

Jimi Hendrix wrote it, and Stevie Ray Vaughan respectfully covered it like no one else could.

He was one of a kind you someone is a legend when legends that come before you call you one and Stevie not only showed respect to the ones that come before him they returned that respect. He loved sharing the stage with other .

Stevie is singular and an original. You can tell by all the psychedelics and reverb and distortion that this is pure Jimmi Hendrix and Stevie idolized him. I'm subscribing because you brought SRV...RIP Stevie ❤️

I had the opportunity to meet him and have drinks with him a couple of times and saw him in Concert. He is a Legend here in Texas. Mainly he sings Texas blues but he can do it all. The original was done by Jimmy Hendrix.
Please do Texas Flood Live at the El Macombo it will blow you away. I have never seen Prince do what Stevie can on the guitar. Hendrix is the only one that comes close. Eric Clapton once said that Stevie was the only one that could make him hang up his guitar for good.
He was an extremely humble man. He died August 27,1990 in a helicopter crash after leaving his concert in Wisconsin. RIP Stevie
    Miss you. Great Reaction.

    B. B. King Quotes
I've said that playing the blues is like having to be black twice. Stevie Ray Vaughan missed on both counts, but I never noticed.

Prince already conceeded back in 1985 to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Of course most of Prince greatest hits had not been released. Prince was also a big fan of the Legendary Eddie Hazel. So much that PRINCE requested to present Eddie Hazel's widow his Hall of Fame plaque personally when PRINCE had Welcomed the great Parliament/Funkadelic into the HOF. Look it up for yourself.
