    I own a cappuccino that I have swapped a 1300cc Hayabusa engine into. And since the engine came out of a motorcycle it now has a sequential gearbox. It is by far my absolute favorite car I've ever owned. The horsepower went from a meager 83 horsepower, when it was the 660cc 3-cylinder turbocharged, to 226hp N/A. It is now my autocross weapon. Loving the content keep up the great work!!

      The cappuccino only has 63 BHP not 83 BHP.

    • @EatMyYeeties
      @EatMyYeeties 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@connory6741 He could have dropped an N1 ECU into it with cooler plugs and slightly bigger injectors. That would get you up to about 83-90 hp. The N2 kit gets you to 110, but it also came with a larger turbo and new headers to allow for higher airflow.
      If you chop the exhaust, widen it, and go straight pipe you can make up about 4 to 5 hp which doesn't sound like much, but in a car thatakes 65 stock, that's significant in terms of torque-y feel!
      I own a Cappuccino with an aftermarket intake and custom exhaust I welded up. It makes roughly 73 hp now.

      Is a k swap possible in the k car

    • @EatMyYeeties
      @EatMyYeeties 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@flexnlexus129 I've not seen it done, but the size of the engine bay lends itself to it! I've done measurements on my Cappuccino and found a K20 would barely fit under the hood if you had a dry sump kit.
      I'm personally trying for an inline 5 B52(3/4)4t motor out of a Volvo for my swap! They come factory with a dry sump which means I could swap out the pan for a custom low profile one. Plus you can easily boost them to 400 on stock internals.
      The biggest issue with a swap to a bigger motor is weight balancing in the car. The engine trannie is so light the the car is roughly 50-50 front/back. With a bigger motor reaching farther forward in the bay, it's gonna get real nose heavy! My plan to combat that is to use a manual Porsche transaxle in the rear with a torque tube to the engine in the front. Hopefully that would be enough to counteract the weight gain in the front!

      @@EatMyYeeties the n2 does not come with a new downpipe or manifold. Those are aftermarket items only. N2 can actually support upwards of 200hp given it is based on speed density and the timing is distributor controlled.

    I have an AZ-1 I've owned now for 3 years. Not ever going to sell it even though I'm 6 ft. Correct about the steering wheel - that was the first thing I swapped to a 300 mm.... Now I have 320 mm very flat bottomed.
    I love the super car looks, the go-kart like handling, the sensation of speed even when you're going slow - plus microcar fuel economy. I often see more than 45 MPG (US).
    Last time I did a 0-60 it was 9,3 seconds. Before an engine rebuild and Suzuki Sport ECU. Now I recon sub-9 easily.

    Honestly the Cappuccino is a great 2nd car. It's a convertible, but also a hard top, so it's good in any weather. It's got enough storage to get by, esp if you keep the top up. It gets excellent gas mileage (37-44mpg depending), and it's a great twisty backroad car.
    I've actually been daily driving mine while the Fiest ST is in the shop, and it's been fine. The only thing is even with the stock suspension (and especially with coilovers) normal American bumps will feel pretty crashy and launch you much higher. Kentucky highways feel like I'm doing a top speed run in a neighborhood with a bunch of speed bumps.

    Indicator stalk on the right isn't synonymous with right hand drive. The vast majority of today's UK vehicles have their indicator stalk on the left, including officially imported Japanese vehicles. If we come across a righty indicator stalk, then chances are it's either a grey/personal import or an older UK vehicle such as an original Austin/Morris/BLMC Mini.

    I've tested all the kei cars in Gran Turismo 6, and there are a LOT of them. I prefer the Beat because it's like the AZ-1 but cheaper, with a convertible (or optional hard top) and probably much easier to source parts for, being a Honda. I would love to own a S660 but that won't be legal in the USA until 2040. I'll be 56. Maybe then I'll finally buy a RHD car and park it in the garage of my newly-bought house in a 55+ year olds only neighborhood.

      While it's true that the Honda Beat sold more than the AZ-1, the Beat's engine (special version of the E07A with 12-valve with MTREC) was unique to that car (although some parts are shared with the Honda Today), whereas the AZ-1 shares its engine with the popular Suzuki Alto Works, and it's about 90% compatible with the Cappuccino's too.

    $5k-$8k for a Cap in the US is misleading. Pre-COVID before auction prices have seen a consistent 20-100% price increase, yes. No longer. Possible for a R rating or high miles as a fresh West Coast import (on high end of estimate) yet anything remotely decent has been bringing 700,000+ ¥ for months. Add inland transport, agricultural cleaning, exporter fee, autovessel passage, 2.5% import tariff, importer fee...and realism sets in without even mentioning business profit.

    you guys are so ignorant. At 1'42", 660 cc is more like two third and NOT three Quarter of a liter of an engine. Come on ,edit it first before you publish it. Other than that I like our channel. Take this constructive criticism.
