I graduated in 83 in a small town. It was all beer and backroads and no supervision. Nowadays the kids would be in jail. Lol😅 So many of us in the Gen X look back wondering how we survived ❤ But there was always great music in the background 😄

The lead singer David Coverdale was married to the lady in the video from 1989 to 1991,Tawny Kitaen was her name,passed away at 59 in 2021,gone too young,she was also as previously mentioned in comments to married to Major League Baseball pitcher Chuck Finley for a few years in the late 1990's,great group,great song!

She was married to chuck for about 5 years. They had 2 daughters wynter and raine.
He was an Indian for most of their marriage. After they divorced and she got help they were working on renewing their marriage but called it off at the last min.
She had a thing of beating up the men in her life.

@@KevinPerry-wi5dw Yes she was an alcoholic,and also took anti depressents and pain pills,her death was ruled heart disease and by natural causes,sure,her lifestyle probably contributed to heart disease,last I knew,alcoholism and drug addictions are diseases,same as any other disease,so I don't see how you figure it's her own fault,then your analysis is about the same as saying,oh well,Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd fought the good fight and his heart took him out from alcohol and drug use,when he stopped it all in the 1970's.There are a lot more examples,but really I hope people get educated about addictions and how it has become a disease and has been recognized as such for years,hopefully light will be shed to people that have family or friends struggling and understand it is a disease.

The chorus of the song was used very often for advertisments in recent years. And in movies too. So a lot of people know it without knowing the band. It was Number 1 in the Billboard charts back in 1987 and the song provided a good yearly income for the people who wrote it back in 1981. Unfortunately the guitar player who wrote the music died last year
Tawny gained fame for being in several music videos back in the 80's. Including Ratt's "Back for More" (1984) and Whitesnake's "Still of the Night", "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again" (all 1987).
She was also in their video to "The Deeper the Love" from 1989.
You need to listen to the song Still of the night. It's another awsome banging rock song.
David Coverdale was also in the Mark 3 version of Deep Purple 1973-1976. He released 2 solo albums after that and then formed Whitesnake.

An 80’s rock ballad, definitely a jam and it’s the only song I remember from them
Peak Hair / Glam / Pop / Metal. This was after the big boys at the record labels and radio stations figured out there was MONEY TO BE MADE with this kind of music and we started hearing it on top 40 radio. Whitesnake had been around for quite a while grinding out top-quality blues-rock records and one more modern record before this one and then THIS dropped after a big line-up and style change for the band. The rest is history. This song will be getting the SAME reaction 100 years from now. It's that great. Is it catchy? Yes. Is it radio friendly? Yes. Does it rock? Yeas it does. And the damn video is 80s MTV perfection. Next up ... "Is It Love?" ;)

Their name "Whitesnake" came from what was in the leader singer David Coverdales pants...😂. Also, he was either 36 or 37 when this became a hit! He actually married the woman Tawny Kitaen in the video, but divorced after a few years. She passed away in 2021.

This was released twice...in 1982 then again in 1987. I was 17 yrs old. The one guitarist is Vivian Campbell, and he was also Dio's lead guitarist for his first two albums and it's some of the best guitar work ever! He then joined Def Leppard in 1992 and been with them since. Check out....
