I'm 74 years old and I didn't know this song existed until just recently. It is one THE best songs I have ever heard - there was some great music in the sixties and seventies - how did I miss this? It's so powerful and grabs at my heartstrings every time. I put my ear buds in and ramp up the volume and just get lost❤❤❤
I was born late 80's and the 80's and 90's were the best generation of rock singers. Made me a rocker together with my wife. We still dress up as rockers although we are in our 40's right now (we stay as fit as possible and keep our hair long as much as possible). They call us the rocking lovers during family gatherings lol.

My first crush was this guy I met in high school. He was really popular and always surrounded by his friends so it made it impossible to talk to him. We only ever talked at least a handful of times in over a year but we had a strong chemistry. I remember listening to this song all the time just wishing his friends wouldn't be there to treat me like crap and I could talk to him. There was a graduation party about 4 years after I met him and I dressed up for a bonfire they had outside. I remember telling my parents just to give me 5 more minutes before we had to go and I found him by himself standing by the corn field next to the bonfire and it was dark. His friends already left. They had all the big time bands Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, Alice Cooper. I gave Mick Jagger a nickname ( A Rooster on Acid ) cause of his energy on stage Some concerts got out of hand because lack of security, how do control 80,000 fans. Even Bills games were crazy in 80s. It sucks we have that reputation for most snow in winter. I agree we get 10-12 feet from Lake Erie most winters. Buffalo is known as a drinking city. My guess because lots of Irish people.

I mean its one thing for a lot of viewers maybe that don't think it's their cuppa - but to actually down vote it? Listen to them more recently too like at some of the awards shows, still has a hugely powerful voice that many pop singers should be embarrassed to be successful at half the musical talent.
I don't know if I'm right but I think it was disliked on principle. It's a great song from a great band but the producers of the video wanted to keep closeups on Ann to hide her weight and in Nancy's case, they wanted to showcase her well endowed breasts and heaving cleavage. Total disrespect for such legendary performers.

Back then, super model skinny was all that the industry wanted women to be. Wilson Philips also had this problem. One of the members said it. Sad because this song rocks!!

I think about it and it was ridiculous, reading that because of Ann's "weight" problem, the camera was always centered on her face, and the main attention, as we see in the videos, was on Nancy, who they really poofed up. Ann was a doll. A killer, strong voice, and us male fans as a whole, I believe, could give a rats ass about her weight. We loved her, she blew us away with her voice and emotion, and I think the video directors/producers were complete asses. It didn't help, I'm sure, what she thought of herself, and that's a shame. Heart fans love her. These videos would have done just as well if the dumbasses didn't try to hide Ann from us.

My first crush was this guy I met in high school. He was really popular and always surrounded by his friends so it made it impossible to talk to him. We only ever talked at least a handful of times in over a year but we had a strong chemistry. I remember listening to this song all the time just wishing his friends wouldn't be there to treat me like crap and I could talk to him. There was a graduation party about 4 years after I met him and I dressed up for a bonfire they had outside. I remember telling my parents just to give me 5 more minutes before we had to go and I found him by himself standing by the corn field next to the bonfire and it was dark. His friends already left. I don't know if I'm right but I think it was disliked on principle. It's a great song from a great band but the producers of the video wanted to keep closeups on Ann to hide her weight and in Nancy's case, they wanted to showcase her well endowed breasts and heaving cleavage. Total disrespect for such legendary performers.

I think about it and it was ridiculous, reading that because of Ann's "weight" problem, the camera was always centered on her face, and the main attention, as we see in the videos, was on Nancy, who they really poofed up. Ann was a doll. A killer, strong voice, and us male fans as a whole, I believe, could give a rats ass about her weight. We loved her, she blew us away with her voice and emotion, and I think the video directors/producers were complete asses. It didn't help, I'm sure, what she thought of herself, and that's a shame. Heart fans love her. These videos would have done just as well if the dumbasses didn't try to hide Ann from us.
