I have three books in a series. The niche has 3000 search per month. One of my books is ranking on the first page second row. But I only get sales through ads. June I got also organic sales but July has been terrible so far
Hey Barry, the problem with color books is that you have to make them more expensive than the competition to have the same margin. But customers are sensitive to prices. If you made your full-color book at the same price as your competitors and accepted a lower margin, you wouldn't be able to compete in advertising. This is the dilemma that I have (and I think many other self-publishers too). Another problem is that you are competing against conventional publishers who can produce and sell more cheaply, who may have spiral binding, hard covers, bookmarks, etc. at a price that you cannot keep up with.
I understand which is why I look at the market price of the niche. If the market price supports your colored interior book and gives you a good profit margin that can help you scale and profit greatly then colored interior would be a good option for you then :)

Hey, I use a pen name when publishing my books not my own name. This helps create a brand. Unfortunately I cannot even count how many books I have published :)

Yours is valuable, the first time I found you I am amazed. 💪💪💪 Sometimes innocent unsuspected antics or magic in video entertains me too 😆😆😆 KDP is dry when we go the psychological aspect of it, but the income of it is real. So funny is needed so dryness gone, income come 😁😁😁
You will need to speak with customer support and look at the emails they are sending you to fix the problem. Make sure you follow all the KDP guidelines to avoid your books getting blocked.

do you only run ads to your paperback? What if your ebook earns royalties of $5, as well, wouldn't it help to run ads to that too?
Absolutely! If the format is appropriate for your niche then running eBook ads can be very beneficial :)
