I like your videos because you're honest and telling the truth and not trying to sell "a dream but first you have buy my master class courses..."
That's keeping it real! Brilliantly said
Appreciated this valuable info clip ❤❤❤❤😊
whoa...thanks for all the info. Well done.
Congrats on making 100 books! A huge milestone 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you 🥳🥳
Is it important to put images inside a non fiction book on kdp?
Absolutely, you can make money on Amazon KDP, and creating 100 books shows that you've put in a significant amount of work-that's impressive dedication!
Your willingness to share your personal results and insights is incredibly valuable to newcomers and seasoned authors in the self-publishing community.
I'm sure many are curious about the actual orders and revenue one can expect, and sharing your 5 tips could be a game-changer for many.
If you can, please add a dedicated session for niche research; it would be interesting to see how a different approach might be applied.
I'm looking forward to learning from your experience and applying your advice to increase sales and maximize earnings on KDP.
Thanks for being open about your journey!
Thanks Guy and really appreciate your continued support! Good idea, I'll start a new niche research playlist and get some ideas together for videos
@@selfpublishingempire Eagerly waiting for the upcoming NICHE RESEARCH PLAYLIST, MAN!
Good job for making 100 coloring books and great video.
Thank you!
It’s rarely as easy as you think.
With anything.
There are always exceptions, but don’t expect to be one of them.
Fantastic advice!
Thank you
Great job my friend. 🤓 So you're running ads on each book as you publish then...? What would you set as a maximum budget per book?
Sorry I can't be more specific but it depends on how competitive the niche is, and what I think the earning potential is for ranking on the first page. Likely $50-100
Please can you make vidéo about niche research in the UK market 😊
Thank you
Will do! I'll likely make it broad rather than US specific just due to the audience, but the best way to do niche research is for me to give you the tools and knowledge for you to do it yourself.
@@selfpublishingempire thank you
I totally agree for the reviews: you must avoid the 1 and 2 stars. I have a good quality book for kindergarten and 2 bad reviews because people expected to have a thick cover like what they can find from big brands :( It may also come from competitors... when I click on their name, I see that all their reviews are only 1 or 2 stars. Unfortunately, I can do nothing. I continue to sell but no good review is coming to balance that. Have you also experienced that situation?
Yep exactly the same this end too. Had some books tanked by what appeared to be competitors
@@selfpublishingempire what did you do? Remove the book? Be more aggressive on ads? Just keep things going?
Sucked it up and created the next one. If the 1 star review seemed spammy/fake I reported it as well to Amazon. Trying to get more sales on it to get reviews to balance it out is viable as well, but will likely cost a decent chunk of change.
ok how to add bank account in payments from country non usa
my coloring and children stories books are rejected on kdp . what should i do plz guide?
Why were they rejected? I'd look through the Amazon terms of service to see why they were rejected and fix the errors.
Published my first books in April this year (2024) and made $1300 in the last 2 months. But sales are dropping off rapidly.
That's a great start. Keep going with making new books! Sales will fluctuate
Can create a hardcover book from an existing book on kdp
You will need to create a hardback cover for it, and then you can create a hardcover version of it :)
how or where to create the best book covers?
Software like Photoshop or use a service like fiverr. Good luck!
I actually just left a comment on another video of yours saying that you'll need about 100 books. I didn't realise it was an old video. Would be great to see the costs as you did before. A video on book cover design would also be super - it's the part that scares me the most!
Is there a link for your Amazon?
No, I don't share my books
How long does it typically take you to make a book?
Typical answer would be how long's a peice of string :D.
+ Fiction book - a year.
+ Good quality coloring book using AI - maybe 1 week
+ journal - 1/2 a day
That hopefully gives you a bit of a guide :)
Are your books print on demand?
Yeah Amazon does print on demand, so it's nice and easy.
There is no magic button. Everything takes effort, skill etc. Obviously it can be done.
100%!
I have 354 books and I'm making about $4 per month. You have to spend money on ads to make money but how much are you spending on ads?.
Watch some of my other income report videos to see that info. I spend money on ads but also make a good profit each month from my now 100 books. I'd also say watch my latest video on niche research because I think it's quality over quantity on amazon
I've authored more than 80 books spanning children's literature, coloring books, puzzle books, and more. Despite three unsuccessful attempts to promote them through Amazon ads, I've lost interest in pursuing further sales. However, I do have a website where the books are linked to Amazon. I'm now considering selling the rights to my books. Is there anyone out there who might be interested?
Good luck with it! Like you say maybe it's more powerful driving directly to your website and trying a more old school approach of getting them into physical stores etc
I want to pay for training with some friend from Nigeria but I don’t know why my heart has refused to enter Kdp business
Can you link one of your book on amazon?
I prefer not to link any of my medium/low content books as copycats crop up, but I can share my fiction work if interested (although that's not where I earn money)
@@selfpublishingempire Sorry, do you mean to say that you create fiction, like high content novel type books, and those don't make as much money? I would have assumed the opposite, but obviously I don't know anything about it.
Yeah I started with fiction, wrote 4 books and 1 short story, but unfortunately these do not make money for me. My medium content books are the ones that make money (and I don't share these due to sharing in the past, copycats, and therefore my earnings being affected).
Now that AI is causing self-publication to become rapidly oversaturated...where do you see the profitability of doing KDP in 5 years?
I think the time is already here where you need to use AI as a tool rather than a means to make books. I hope KDP will keep growing and I reckon low quality books will stop being accepted.
Amazon gets about 300,000,000 visitors. If you make a quality product, advertise in multiple ways you can be successful.
J'aurai au moins entendu toutes sortes d'english accent en regardant ces vidéos. Celui là n'est pas le moins strange. J'en ai perdu mon french.
I was wondering how do you get your payment? Like do you put in your routing number so the payment goes directly into your account?
Bank details on Amazon.
