american fanboys and fangirls still trashing on Toyota lol, the camry has been the best selling car in america for 10 years now and Lexus is est selling in luxury models, outsells all domestics, i'll tell you why, reliability and great resale value and best gas mileage, if you want a car that won't be worth anything after 5 years then get yourself an unreliable POS domestic and stop saying toyota is junk when most people know about their reliability
I had a 12 camry my gf crashed it into a pickup truck head on and destroyed it I got a smart car now cause I didn't have enough money for anything else other than a used Mirage...I do like the smart car alot though
I bought my 2012 Toyota Camry about two years ago, and it is slowly taking the spot of my favorite car. Which was my first car, 1996 Nissan Maxima. This car has pretty much turned me into a JDM Fangirl
Use to only own Honda cars from my first 1987 honda Civic but the transmission went up I traded it for a nice 1995 Civic until the transmission went up. In 1991 I had the money for my first Accord until the transmission went up. In 1998 I got with a friend and I 2 Hondas Accord EX with all the trimmings until botH transmissions both went up. My friend went with a Toyota but I stayed with Honda 2001 Accord EX with all the extras the transmission went up. All these cars were brand new from a reputable Honda dealership. Kids grew up and tried some new Hyundais 2006 Tiburon 2008 Elantra 2012 Sonata 2013 Elantra. (NO COMMENT AS HONDA MADE A MUCH BETTER QUALITY CAR ) My first Toyota 2012 LE 4 Cylinder WOW MUCH BETTER THAN HONDA. the ride is smoother as is the steering, breaks, great no road noise that the Hondas started to let in with time. 180 HP plenty for a family car. The sound system does not need to be replaced as it is 10 times better than Honda. Many cars through out the years Toyota makes the best for the money hands down. Car is not boring could be the drivers. Great handling gas mileage big trunk no squeaks or rattles. I cant ask for anything more in a car.
You sound like a person who has never changed his transmission fluid and constantly backs out of your driveway and shifts into drive while the car is still rolling backwards.
Robert Silverman Ford's, Nissan and Honda over the years are know to have weak transmission. It is good that no matter what type of vehicle you get you check up on the transmission and other maintenance but out of all the cars I have spoken to people about they say Toyota are the best when it comes to reliability.
@@jasperdilincoln2341 yeah toyota is the best in terms of mechanical reliability but I can't agree with the squeaks or rattle part. Got a 2012 camry xle and occasionally when driving I hear a clicking noise intermittenly every 5-10secs. It gets annoying when you notice it. Toyota really should have worked on the damping a bit more instead of plastic clips all over the place
I liked the review, first time heard someone give clear information on a car, even the sales person couldn't give me all this information even when I asked.
The 2007 - 2011 Camry's look a bit better than the 2012. I hope the quality continues. I have owed three Toyota’s two Camry’s and one SR5 pickup truck- all these vehicles have been great; low maintenance and exceptional performance and reliability. I hope Toyota keeps the quality in their vehicles. I still drive my 2000 Camry with over 191K. It is sad that American cars in general do not have this reputation, we certainly need the work.
Really big improvement over the outgoing model on the interior category. The SE looks really good. All the other makes and models are good too but who has the reliability history like the Camry and Accord.
Ooh I have to say the Hybrid is amazing 200 HP and he says its pretty quick with EPA rating of 43 city and 39 highway, WOW! Just realized that's crazy! I wish it will do 0-60 in at the most 8.5 seconds. I'm guessing it should do it on the high 7's.
WOW! The new camry's subtle changes actually make it the best looking car in this class. I'm really surprised. It looks way nicer than the taurus, sonata, etc.
While the Camry may not the most outstanding vehicle out there when it comes to appearence, it looks okay to me. But more important than the looks are the fact that it's exetremely reliable as well as it gets good gas mileage. I drive an 02 Camry that has a little over 140k miles, and the engine performs just as good now as it did when it was new, and other than just routine maintenance, I've never had anything to tear up on me.
I have an 07 Camry, bought it brand new. Since then, i never had issues. However, the interior of the car is poorly made. Materials used are fine in my opinion, it's just the way they were put together. This new Camry interior looks a lot tighter, well put together, and overall nice. Exterior of the vehicle is OK i guess, but if i was to choose a car in this price range and category, and if i care about the looks of it, i would choose Sonata, Optima, Accord or Altima. But i dont!
How is the resale value on the se model? Im thinking about getting the fully loaded model for a little under 30k. How is the resale value and the car in general compared to the 2012 accord?
hah! I love the people arguing about WHICH japanese car company is the best. well i guess if all you're looking for in a car is reliability japan is the way to go...
Ever since the IIHS has been crash testing, the Camry has gotten a poor rating, so no, this car is not 'safe.' Also, why should safety be an optional package that you add onto your car when the company itself, very ballsy I should add, advertises safety in their commercials?
It's still a safe car. The small overlap test just means if the car was ever in that type of crash it would not perform well. But in side impacts, moderate overlap, head-on, and roller overs the Camry performed well. Small Over Lap test is a fairly new crash test so not many cars passed this area including some Mercedes Benz and Audi. Automakers will soon realize this test is here to stay and will continue to improve their products. By the way the 2014 Camry got a acceptable rating on the small over lap test where as the 2012 camry got a poor rating, this shows you automakers act pretty quickly to improve safety and to meet standards.
Lots of new cars performed poorly on the small overlap test.. just as lots performed poorly on the overlap test when it was first done. The IIHS isn't a regulatory body.. and with the increasing safety of modern vehicles they've had to tighten up their requirements to have any relevancy. I'd like to see actual accidents where performance in a small overlap collision actually played any part in the safety vs injury or death of any occupants. I'm willing to bet it represents a fraction of a percent... vs roof strength, side impact, and frontal impact from full on to half overlap which are far more relevant... plus methods of collision avoidance like ABS, ESC, automatic pre-collision braking, and lane departure warnings that make crash performance non applicable.
i just brought the base model and it drives very comfortably ...well impressed! ...not impressed by Brighton Toyotas after sales service here in Melbourne, Australia!
I just drove the car, along with the Sonata, Accord, Fusion, and Malibu on a track. I have to this to say-- the styling is typically Toyota muted, but the inside is very nice looking, and functional. The Camry, in my opinion, handled better, was more comfortable, and I daresay, more fun to drive (!) then anything else there. The Sonata impressed the heck out of me too...but in my ten years selling cars, I've never seen a Hyundai with over 150k miles on it. I will believe it when I see one.
@Jjwlaker, i have a 2002 camry xle , 4cyl, its at 289000 miles , only thing it required was once a time belt replace ment and 3 times tires replaced ... Still gives 29-30 mpg .. Runs smooth and AC still ice cold?? Dont know what ur talking about??
Last good Camry was the 97 to 01 model. After that it was all snap on pieces and cost cutting. Save your money and buy a mint condition 01 XLE. It's smooth, quiet and bulletproof reliable. Nothing exciting but it will get you there and keep on going.
The new SE has been growing on me... Its kind of like Toyota took their Lexus ES 350 and HS250, then took design cues from the Vauxhaul VX-R series and went to town. I think it looks very good. I never thought I'd be thinking about buying a Camry...
I have the '12 LE With the 4 cylinder and it has plenty of power nearly 180hp and bought it used and have put 21,000 miles on it and not one problem it's near 150k now and runs great cold A/C 35 mpg + HWY.
The front looks a lot like the 2011 Corolla, which I liked. But the price drop? Hell yeah! That's exactly what consumers want, good car for an even better price.
2.5-liter 2AR-FE 4-cylinder and the 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6. The power output for the 2AR-FE was increased to 133 kW (178 hp) across the entire product line while the power output for the V6 remained
Fuel is very expensive where I live. I will get this. I think the sonata looks goofy from the front. I also don't trust hyundai on reliability. Toyota is reliable and that's all I need
I recently purchased a 2012 Camry SE about 126,000 miles how long do you think it would last it’s in good shape no major accidents and running good atm V6 engine
amazing car b/c of cavernous trunk space, smoothest trainy, everlasting engine and resale value. The styling is okay at first and not flashy, however, I see tons of old Carmys on the road and their styling is still very moder for a decade of cars! Having said that I think this car design should continue that trend. Price is very competitive also..buy hyundai or kia..thinking you bought a better car than a Camry is either delusional or out of touch. Let's talk 5 years down the road. Camry.
What I love most about Toyota is no worries for those of us who like to hang on to our vehicles long-term. For example, my 2008 Camry LE has over 50K miles and the only thing I have done is regular oil changes and new tires. Thats right, same stock battery and brakes! Toyota is QUALITY and regardless of looks can stand the test of time. All of my cars will be Toyota in the near future! 2012 Hybrid looks like a winner in its class!~
@KingOCleveland Actually the Camry is made in Kentucky now. Apparently if you want to buy a Japanese car, it's going to be American, and if you want American, it's made in Canada or Mexico.
I know this was done a while ago but your rating of the V6 stats was incorrect its a little over 260 hp. I have an 2009 se 2.4l with a couple of aftermarket performance modes and choose to trade it in for the 2012 XLE V6 same good value same toyota won't let you down.
Because of lack of sales. Here in the USA and Canada, the Camry is super popular. In Japan, it's home market, it's not so much. They discounted it due to lack of popularity. And In numerous Chinese, Vietnamese, and Southeast Asian markets. And not to mention, it is also popular in Australia.
Wow, I have a love hate feeling about this new gen right now. I thinks its great that they pretty much improved on everything, power, fuel economy, and its generally a better looking car, also it looks so much roomier. But its like Toyota just wanted to say to the competition we’re going to hit back, and they did, cause based on the video they’re pretty much back on top, but its more of a jab than a power punch.
Toyota is the best! We have 2007 camry le v6, and we like it alot. The engine is powerful enough, the ride is comfortable. Our friend have toyota sienna and they love it.
The 'back-up cameras' should not be optional, they should be equipped in ALL! How many times do you see incidences where a mom 'Backs over' their child? Nice car though as always. :-)
I think Toyota has done a good job with this one. I have thought the last several Camries were nice cars, but, too boring for me. Now, the SE appears to be truly sport oriented with stiffer springs and sub-six second 0-60 sprints. I am now seriously considering a V-6 Camry SE. Rev-matching paddle shifters! I think it looks nice enough (not as sharp as the last version). Also, nice video. It was cool that you showed the older versions of Camry. I like the presenter/ announcer.
this car is much improved than the old Camry. well done. it has a very nice interior, with now good tech features and better navigation. i like how it looks now i can really consider this car instead of the Altima, Sonata, and prob the Optima. it looks better now, and the reliability brings it up a notch

I only buy Toyota and Lexus.
2023 and my 2012 is still running fine. Tires, oil changes, brakes.
I have a 2012 Camry and love it!
@Bob still cant afford one! 😓
I had a 12 camry my gf crashed it into a pickup truck head on and destroyed it I got a smart car now cause I didn't have enough money for anything else other than a used Mirage...I do like the smart car alot though
Are you still alive?
Consumers are a tough crowd to please- speaking from a designer's point of view, this is the best looking Camry yet.
I AGREE 💯👍😇✔️💜
I'm commenting on a 12 years old post, TH-cam is getting old😂. But anyway, I agree, and I think that design will age better than the newer ones.

I have a 2007 toy cam and have put 90,000 miles on it since. It's a great car.
WOW! The new camry's subtle changes actually make it the best looking car in this class. I'm really surprised. It looks way nicer than the taurus, sonata, etc.
I AGREE 💯👍😇
@CEEPMDEE platic? have you seen the stitching on the inside
If your gonna get a hybrid, get a 2012 Camry Hybrid, so so fast and so so amazing fuel efficiency.
While the Camry may not the most outstanding vehicle out there when it comes to appearence, it looks okay to me.

I'm really digging the SE V6. I would buy that over a Sonata, because it's got great sleeper appeal. Never thought I would say that I dig a Camry.

👍💯😇✔️🤗🤓NICE COLORS
How is the resale value on the se model? Im thinking about getting the fully loaded model for a little under 30k. How is the resale value and the car in general compared to the 2012 accord?
Yo it's 268 horse power not 168 it's dumb if a VA has lower horse power than a 4 cylinder
There's plenty of V6s that have lower HP than four cylinders. Plenty of V8s that have lower HP too.
Bartonovich52 well that's great but im talking about the camry, it has 268 not 168 :)
I thought I'm going deaf when he said 168 HP and 148 lb ft. Yeah you're right, it is 268 HP and 248 lb ft of torque
haha
Good review. What camera/lens did you film this with?
i would say toyota from my experience!!! at the end it all comes down to how good u handle the car....
the car is beautiful but i wanna know what camera do you use its super clear
review starts at 1:31
this camry looks best in the inside and outside and lot of new feautures.i want to get this.
hah! I love the people arguing about WHICH japanese car company is the best. well i guess if all you're looking for in a car is reliability japan is the way to go...

Christopher St John That's right.
Ahem. The Camry got a good rating. Check the IIHS website again. I guess you hate Toyotas Fsx767.
2014 did, not 2012 model year like we're talking about bud.

@RFresh41 Did you notice Scion was introduced after all of these cars were discontinued?
PRONOUNCED HUN-DAY NOT HUN-DIE
SHUT THE FUCK UP
NAH
Freddy Fazbear XD
You little bitch
Freddy Fazbear :P
i just brought the base model and it drives very comfortably ...well impressed! ...not impressed by Brighton Toyotas after sales service here in Melbourne, Australia!
2012 Toyota Camry - Crash Test
Result : Poor.
2014.5 Toyota Camry (same design) - Crash Test
Result: Acceptable
2015 Toyota Camry - Crash Test
Result: Good
AMEN....I OWN A BLACK 2014.5 TOYOTA CAMRY SE SPORT FULLY LOADED N I LOVE IT 👍💛😇💯

I have an 05' model and I have to strongly agree with you on the gas mileage part
@FullClipEnterprise yes he did...that doesnt make sense at all! He must have meant 260 or something.
People talk shit about the new Camry but they cant even afford one. Toyota is known for its reliability and they always will.
He said the v6 has 168 hp. It actually has 268 hp, and does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. Not bad for a mid size car.
I saw camry le 2012 yesterday and I love the design and it does look better than sonata but its just my opinion. Now im planning to buy one.
Can the 2012 Camry SE fold down the rear seats?
The all new shaped Camry looks really nice. It's a master piece.
Last good Camry was the 97 to 01 model. After that it was all snap on pieces and cost cutting. Save your money and buy a mint condition 01 XLE. It's smooth, quiet and bulletproof reliable. Nothing exciting but it will get you there and keep on going.
HOW MUCH does it cost in total?
@KrazeDiamond This is a rather old issue that has since been corrected (approx 10 years ago I believe).
I would say that both car companies are reliable! I have a 2010 toyota corolla and I haven't had any problems with it.
The new SE has been growing on me... Its kind of like Toyota took their Lexus ES 350 and HS250, then took design cues from the Vauxhaul VX-R series and went to town.
I think it looks very good. I never thought I'd be thinking about buying a Camry...
Is there anyone know how much for this car?? (In U.S)
Do all of the panels on the interior still pop off?
Does this also have a cvt transmission
I have the '12 LE With the 4 cylinder and it has plenty of power nearly 180hp and bought it used and have put 21,000 miles on it and not one problem it's near 150k now and runs great cold A/C 35 mpg + HWY.
I am going to buy a used one since it's 2021. Thanks
@zarood what american family sedan is better than a camry? impala? malibu? taurus? seabring?
it looks better that last's year model
The front looks a lot like the 2011 Corolla, which I liked. But the price drop? Hell yeah! That's exactly what consumers want, good car for an even better price.
I'm having a hard time deciding if I want this or the Rav4
AbsoluteMdot this is way better
Thank you!
GREAT EFJORT. HOWDYB VANISH QUILT WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ABOUT VHAT !!!
2.5-liter 2AR-FE 4-cylinder and the 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6. The power output for the 2AR-FE was increased to 133 kW (178 hp) across the entire product line while the power output for the V6 remained
@RFresh41 and the Camry is perhaps the most reliable, longest lasting sedan out there. I can assure you from experience.
The steering wheel buttons reminding me the Joystick of Sony & Xbox !!!
Fuel is very expensive where I live. I will get this. I think the sonata looks goofy from the front. I also don't trust hyundai on reliability. Toyota is reliable and that's all I need
I recently purchased a 2012 Camry SE about 126,000 miles how long do you think it would last it’s in good shape no major accidents and running good atm V6 engine
i just got a 2009 camry loving it i really wish i could upgrade to the 2012 xD
Do these camrys come with brakes or are they dangerous like in years past. This was the company with the cars that wouldnt stop right?
amazing car b/c of cavernous trunk space, smoothest trainy, everlasting engine and resale value. Can't go wrong with Toyota or Honda. Very nice Camry indeed...

Did i miss something? Did he just say the V6 gets 168 Horsepower? Which would make it slower than the I4 cylinder?
i love the newly body of this camry it has a nice feel to it. I have a 09 toyota camry and loving it
@KingOCleveland Actually the Camry is made in Kentucky now. Apparently if you want to buy a Japanese car, it's going to be American, and if you want American, it's made in Canada or Mexico.
@001looker Yes it can in reliability and cost of ownership
I like that music about 1 min into the video, what is it? Anyone can tell us the name of the tune or the name of the song?
The SE front bumper could have used a little more inspiration. I think I drew something similar when I was 7.
I know this was done a while ago but your rating of the V6 stats was incorrect its a little over 260 hp. I have an 2009 se 2.4l with a couple of aftermarket performance modes and choose to trade it in for the 2012 XLE V6 same good value same toyota won't let you down.
@mgibbs88 i think its 268hp not 168 !!

Transmicion por 2012cambri automatic repair or rebuild needed
This video had a great start. Thanks!
guys which car is better?? hyundai sonata or toyota camry .... i guess honda accord is better of the two cars but i need your opinions?
The car looks good, don't know whether got disk brake problem like previous model
I am pretty sure that you know which camry I am referring to when I compared different markets camry.
THE FUTURE OF CARS
I use to think this was a bland and ugly car but the look has grown on me it looks great
But, will it stop?
@nomoreterrorism are you aware of the difference between the imperial (uk) gallon and the US gallon?
I think Toyota has done a good job with this one. I have thought the last several Camries were nice cars, but, too boring for me. Now, the SE appears to be truly sport oriented with stiffer springs and sub-six second 0-60 sprints. I am now seriously considering a V-6 Camry SE. Rev-matching paddle shifters! I think it looks nice enough (not as sharp as the last version).
Also, nice video. It was cool that you showed the older versions of Camry. I like the presenter/ announcer.
why did they change the led brake lights the previous gen camry had? they looked so cool. now it looks like regular bulbs
this car is much improved than the old Camry. well done. it has a very nice interior, with now good tech features and better navigation. i like how it looks
now i can really consider this car instead of the Altima, Sonata, and prob the Optima.
it looks better now, and the reliability brings it up a notch
The design is growing on me, i like the camry hybrid
nice review Toyota's the best
i love the toyota camry SE with dual transmission for auto and sport manual switch...love it for a cheap car under $25k
@zungaloca unchanged. EPA fuel economy numbers for both engines increased, with the V6 increased to 21 mpg-US (11 L/100 km; 25 mpg-imp) city cycle, 30 mpg-US (8 L/100 km; 36 mpg-imp)
