How to fit Rimblades Scuffs Ultra. Are they any good??

So after a failed attempt at cheap knock off rim protactors i decided to try the proper product, tbf I wasn't expecting much as the fakes were so bad.
The Scuffs Ultra by Rimblades were alot more money than the fakes, but believe me you know where that extra money went.

@@MADL1fe I couldn’t quite tell if it’s gloss or matt black - but either way they’re hardly visible once up which is great - don’t wanna distract from those sweet deep dish rims! 👍🏼
They are gloss, but like You say they blend in really well with the wheel.

I've been running with them for a couple of years and have only had to replace them if I've kerbed the wheel.

I’ve just curbed two alloys in a week on my Type R FK8. Thinking of getting these.
I still have had no issues with mine, i have just had 2 new tyres fitted and they managed to keep them on fine.
Tbh looking over all the comments on my video, only 1 or 2 people have had any issues.
@@MADL1fe Cheers mate. The plan is to get my alloys refurbed next week then I’m going to stick the rim blades on. I just hope it stops my clumsy arse from causing more damage to the wheels! I also looked at Alloy Gators.

Have you tried using a wheel or tire shine with these rim blades, does it affect the adhesive on them?

I use tyre shine all the time, not had any issues at all

Really cant fault these, i have done loads of driving they have stayed where they should. I have even had a small mishap with a kerb and protected my wheel and stayed one piece.

Question? What happens when you replace the tyre. Are they removed and need replacing?
They are very hard to remove, I wouldn't recommend it.
You would need to get another set unfortunately

Do you have to deflate the tyres a bit when putting it on

You shouldn't need to lower you tyre pressure at all as they dont interfere with the tyre.
Can’t decide to get these or tyre and alloy insurance. Any recommendations. ? Are you happy with them 2 years on ?
I would definitely go with these, I wouldn't run a set of wheels without them now.
They have saved me loads of little mishaps in the last 2 years

Put mine on just now refurbished alloys last week and came out to look and starting to come off already.. don't know what I have done wrong done it exactly the same as you?

Tbh i can't say as not removed any yet, however most of the adhesives will come off with a little heat.

I can't believe you didn't clean the wheel thoroughly before using the cleaning wires as when you applied the primer that cloth was also filthy black, don't be surprised if they start peeling off.

It goes to show how good the cleaning wipes and primer is, I have had no peeling at all.
