Oh boy, this was hard to make, especially since this is the first time I created a big band style arrangement. I struggled mostly in getting the chord voicing mainly in the saxophone. One of this is getting used to having to implant the swing groove in my brain for me to "Swing like New Orleans" lol. This was really special since this is the first time I ever get to have actual players to bring my arrangement to life.
I performed the drums and the upright bass but i didn't video myself so I just took Addictive Drums' handy drum visualizer to show the drums on the video. (man that drum solo was hard)
There are actually Trombones in this arrangement, I just used a MIDI Trombone because I can't find for a trombone player. But I really want to thank the people playing in this arrangement, especially Nico and Linus since they are with me since the first time I did a Plants Vs Zombies Arrangement. Go give them some love! ❤️❤️

ROOFTOP RUMBLE
"Good day for a swell battle. You're up!"
lol
"You're down there with your plants, and I'm up here lacking pänts!"
This is neat!
"I am quite the brainiac of a maniac, even you are crazier than Dave himself!"
“We both have the brains but you’re lacking what I have, THE BRAWN”
Props to the trumpet and violin guys for being literally their entire section
nvm there was multiple saxophones
Trumpet also
@@caydenjacobs3314 Technically not. Trumpets are brass while saxaphones are woodwind.
i don't think there was more than one player playing for any individual instrument type, if we count the different types of saxophones as separate
Props to the trombonist that doesn't exist
I want to stress that not only did this guy make an absolute banger, but HE EVEN POSTED ALL THE SHEET MUSIC FOR FREE. THIS MAN IS AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND.
bro i didn't even know that and now i'm so incredibly happy
had fun playing this chaotic arrangement! Sounds thicc
Thicc
@@0zymandias_666 no no I like this display
"Chaotic" is definitely the right word for it.
Indeed, very thicc
Ultra thicc
I love how invisible drummer is
he a lil shy

@@fracturedemperoror I'm late but I think "Animate" fits that better. Since sentience means they can think and feel for themselves. While the zombies in-game are mostly walking in a straight pattern, the only one that sorta fits that is the newspapers guy
@@scoundral2995 counter-point
they are sentient, just following orders
@@fracturedemperoror I doubt this'll prove anything but the wiki said in the bio for them that they are mindless with a hunger for human brains. Then again it was a fan wiki so yeah

Airplane Fight.
Progress Bar:
_____|_______________|_________________________
1st phase: The giant machine of Dr. Zomboss can summon various types of zombies in little spaceships which follow you.
They can be normal, coneheads, bucketheads and brickheads.
Plus it can summon giant balls of ice and fire which spread in a spiral form.
Zomboss will do these two attacks VERY FASTLY.
2nd phase: The head of the Dr. Zomboss' machine is now a giant Peashooter.
The attacks are the same as before but now he spawns peashooter zombies, wall nut zombies, tall nut zombies.
He can also fire peashooter projectiles like the Dr. Kahl's final phase for a brief period of time.
And he can shoot from his head a GIANT peashooter projectile which takes almost all the screen, so you have to place in the top left corner to avoid it.
3rd phase: The Dr. Zomboss machine is almost broken and is full of holes, but he uses a Pool Vacumm to absorb you in the depth of his machine.
Here there is a conveyor belt on the bottom of the screen where zombies get carried, and you have to avoid Gargantuars throwing Imps at you, Catapult Zombies throwing basketballs, Zombies throwing cones and buckets, and a balloon zombie flying on the screen.
To win you must shoot with bombs the conveyor belt.
no comments on how creative this is? this could be fun tbh and maybe have some bungee jumpers and zomboss throws 2 jumps above and below to mess the player up
Nice, my idea is for it to be a grounded fight, gargantuars on the first phase as the boss, then the G dies and then multiple portals appear to let the 4 spiderbots from pvz2 running around, and the third phase is the original zombot
Zomboss: why the f#ck is my robot head a peashooter
I really hate the fact that this arrangement is underrated, you and your squad deserves more attention!
You don’t know the sheer hatred i feel from this video… being underrated
puro pfp moment

Cierto ,muy cierto
I looooove the main medley of this cover, especially when it comes back for the reprise. It really feels like there's this epic battle between two forces on a freakin roof with the sun-set in the background. The saxophone really has a lot of strain to it and it gives this feeling of mortality? It's kinda hard to explain but this song is really intense in it's drive.
It feels like a fun free for all where everyone can cut loose
my interpretation of "mortality" is like wanting to finish off the fight before the sun goes down, like trying your best and putting as much effort as possible in order to finish it off. Completing what you needed to do.
If the roof levels were anything like Cuphead's difficulty, the levels would probably just be 5 gargantuan's on screen at one time.
And... like, 10 pogo zombies too. With a few basketball catapults in there. Annnnnnd, heck why not. 5 Rugby zombies.
sounds like endless at wave 30
Also Bungee Zombies, because fuck Bungee Zombies.
Really? Cause I feel like "Cuphead difficulty" would be largely the same, except all sun producers cost 25 more sun
Giving me Arknights ptsd

Laura Shigihara should see this 💯
I'm so glad Cuphead revitalized the love for Big Band. I grew up listening to Glen Miller and Benny Goodman and to see it making a resurgence is just so good.
Out of the entire Album, this remains my favorite.

PvZ and Jazz! My favorites!
nice, me too
best song
Goddammit, now i want a PvZ themed Cuphead bossfight. I could make it myself, i don't care. If only i knew how to code...
no one said it should be a game. an animation is just as good!
me too
i can try to make it on scratch
though im really bad with coding, i can stil try
@@killershot1904 nah
This feels like a Cuphead Run n' Gun level at the rooftop, with a Gargantuar as the mini boss at the end of the level
great stuff, love the isopropyl alcohol cameo
it is the key to having butter fingers
Dang this arrangement sounds so cool!! So many voices at once haha
amazing job on the flute, Madelyn! I've been playing the flute for about a year and a half, do you think you can give me any tips?
@@VivaVenezuelaa hey thanks a lot!! The best thing you can do is practice your fundamentals (aka long tones, scales, ect) and you’ll be amazed at how fast you’ll progress! Also, sight reading frequently works wonders- playing many different genres really turns you into a strong player. I’m not too sure if this helps, but if you have any specific questions I can try my best to help!
@@madalynmusic9288 Thank you so much! this PvZ Collab series is my favorite of all time, and all of you do a great job on every video!
I do have a bit of problems sight reading, it's just a little difficult but as a practice more it becomes easier. I'm trying to learn Orchestral Suite in B minor, Badinerie IIV and it's pretty fun! I've also been learning Concerto In G Major
@@VivaVenezuelaa those are great pieces, especially for someone who has only played for a year and a half! Sight reading has always been a challenge for me when I first started but just like anything, you’ll get better if you constantly find new music to play. Etudes are another great way to learn technique and improve your playing!
@@madalynmusic9288 okay! thanks so much!
these PvZ arrangements are such a treat omg, instant like
Better song than the original
My favorite from the whole album. Just soooooooooo good I love listening to this
I am absolutely in love with this cover - really disappointed to see this doesn't have more views. Good luck with your channel!
Btw, is 2:52 a reference to Dolphin Shoals or is that just a coincidence?
I’m gonna say that was most definitely a hint at the Mario Kart lick
I know zero things about music but I can say with certainty that that was a reference to something
@@buttonsmasher1072 It was a reference to Kazuki Katsuta, Dimension's saxophonist.
Yeah I heard the Mario cart lick there too, nice one
Dolphin Shoals de MarioKart 8? Pero a qué parte de la música hace referencia? Yo no lo escucho
This would be GREAT for a cuphead boss
One a master piece. 11/10.
One of the best covers of the Pvz
I heard this on the Reeds and Seeds album before and thought to myself that it sounded a lot like the cuphead soundtrack
2:28 sounds a lot like hit the road jack and I’m in love with this
This is where pvz music peaks
If it somehow gets better than this i’ll be impressed
As a proud bari sax I am proud to say I see a proud bari sax
Masterpiece! Did you make the drum arrangement using midi keyboard as well?
i performed the drums using my midi drumset
@@ImRuscelOfficial Still surprised those plays are truly amazing. Well done.
“grazing amongst the dead” is what i think the level would be called

God bless Ymfah to let more people hear this masterpiece
Bro took a very good song and made it a masterpiece
Why didn't YT algorithm recommend me this pice of art? Everything here sounds amazing and fitting for Cuphead, definitely underrated.
can’t stop listening to this on spotify, i love it
This honestly kind of works, I wish there were more remixes like this one floating around, I'm not aware about this song's original version, but this is an absolute BOP!

For God's sake, you guys are incredible, with your permission it would be an honor to use this theme in a fangame I'm working on, with your respective credits, of course.
I love that the drum VST gets its own shots in the video when it's tearing up hahaha
when A wave of zombies with a ladder came.
Thank you 3 AM YT recommendations for bringing light into this underrated video!
Edit: Just realized there's a whole album of it, really nice
I love the whole album, but this is by far my favorite song of the bunch.
i love getting recommended this stuff a full two years after it was posted
This song always feels underappreciated. So glad to see its getting such a banger arrangement!
Sounds great!
Only thing I'll add in terms of it sounding like Cuphead is that when the brass didn't play a main line or didn't add to the melody, hed usually stricty have them play a rythmic pad (usually with harmon, plunger, or straight mutes) he also didn't include string players in the big band charts.
Having studied his works, he has a very recognizable way of writing, so much so I couldn't actually write a template of what goes where and itd sound like most of his works (he did pretty much take whatever Ellington or Goodman were doing in the 30s and 40s)
Y'all haunted as heck. Look at all those ghost orbs!
(Seriously though, fantastic job! Freakin' nailed it)
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOY. BRAVO.
Love this more than the original
Good lord. The melody hit me like a freight train.
It feels exactly like what it sets out to do. Lovely.
honestly all I can say with out understating is: absolutely phenomenal.
anything else wouldn't be doing this masterpiece justice.
this shares an UNCANNY resemblance to "Run, Llama, Run"
2 years after, this still slaps (the album in general does)
i love how the drummer is constantly looking like a
I love it 😄 it’s such an interesting take on graze on the roof and nobody asked for this but we’re glad we did get it
*Rooftop Rumble*
"A cup challenges me?"
"Ha, I've yet to see Davidson's botanical army face off against my latest mechanations, but I suppose this would be a proper trial for my machine. Let us see who is the superior being here."
If anyones wondering, the coord progression is Am, C, Dm, F, G, (for graze the roof specifically) correct me if im wrong
This video needs to be blessed with the youtube algorithm, it deserves a lot more attention! My god it's so good!
Best cover 12/10
I got to say this sounds so much like a cup head arrangement you defiantly nailed it
this is amazing, on par with any insaneintherain cover to date. incredible
“We’ll savour your brains and surpass your lawn. No matter what, your screwed, Dusk til dawn!”
Funnily enough, Cupheads main weapon in the game is called "Peashooter"
Love how it feels like broadway!
so far one of my favorite pieces. this is very good!
This music sets my body on fire
never that pvz and cuphead would make a good music collab, fire
It’s just jazz not Cuphead, many songs sound like this, for example “Sing, sing, sing”
I didn't see any bass here, regardless it slaps
I approve
This arrangement sounds fantastic!!!!
Each instrument is flowing like steam out of a mug and hitting the mark like peas shot through the air
PD, Missed opportunity to call it Graze the Cup xD
IKR
This is way too fucking cool
This is SO underrated
“I suppose it’s fair if you call me insane. I’m wasting my time on cups with no brains!”
I swear to god I had the opening melody in my head for weeks before I saw this video. Literal magicians
Credits to the ability to breath
The power void left by Carlos had to be filled
I can imagine a cuphead mod when you fight against zomboss, cool
I didn't know this was the same group that made the Reeds and Seeds album, so I was so confused when I heard it the first time
Krupa drums woo!!
Fun high-energy arrangement, props to everyone involved :)
you should be blessed by the youtube algorythim
i was thinking how similar this was to that one jazz pvz album, before i realized you are the guy who made it
Zomboss in the daylight be hitting different
stop jazzing on the roof you're making it all dirty
One of the best covers I've seen on this song! Absolutely love it! Great job!:)
Imagine a boss fight that lasts 5 long ass minutes
Now I'm imagining Dr. Zomboss as a Cuphead Boss.
Well I mean hey, the first weapon you receive in cuphead is called the “peashooter” so I think it’s a sign
yep
Why this music so underrated
Peashooter as cuphead , sunflower as mugman , crazy Dave as elder kettle, dr zomboss as devil, it all makes sense to me now
“You really thought you had me slain? AS IF! Now to dig into those brains!”
Sounds amazing!
Really Fantastic, only thing Is that this doesn't sound like a Cuphead Boss battle at All. It sounds more like a Musical and I'm all for it.
Sounds amazing
Everybody gangsta till you take the soul of the peashooter
The last 30 seconds always get me to rewatch
Pretty groovy remix! :D You did a great job of executing it!)
Underrated
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I'm at a loss for words for how good this is.
a huge wave of devils are coming!
Sounds like a mix between sing sing sing and a mark rober vid lol
