i'm sorry dude but you are getting waaaay to hyped, the entire human race does not need to treasure a youtube music video, no matter how good the video is.
I just did, but I felt like Moongrains was too short, so I looped it twice. There also was no Cerebrawl (Although I did replace it with a guitar cover by DSC), and I had to shorten Zombies on your lawn.
I have no words. I randomly was recommended this, expecting a cool little thing to listen to, and I find a masterpiece worthy of the Louvre. This is the best jazz I’ve heard in recent days.
I expected a static background with some jazzy arrangements of the PvZ 1 OST. I got here, I listened, it was way better than this soundtrack has any right to be as jazz, then I looked in on the video and realized there were *effects* on the static background for each track. How dare TH-cam let this have only about half a million views.
I grew up with the original PC version of PvZ and it has got to be one of my favorite games to date. No other game has captured it's energy and polish. The soundtrack being absolutely golden absolutely helps and you did it incredible justice.
The Xbox version of Plants vs zombies in my opinion it the ultimate plants vs zombies, Its got everything the PC has plus more and slight graphical upgrades
I rarely ever comment on youtube videos but i feel this deserved one. This was the first ever game I ever played as a kid and I stuck with it through everything. I still play to this day. Not only that, but after being a jazz saxophonist for four years i can say that this is an absolute masterpiece, keeping the songs easily recognizable while making it into such a nice style, it’s not often you hear a cover like this. genuinely sent shivers down my spine. i cant wait to hear what else comes out of this very talented group.
Honestly, this is the best thing I’ve heard. It gives game and music nostalgia while also sounding so good that I’ve gained a sixth sense that leads me to this video I could watch this 100 times over because of just how good it is, and I give my thanks to the talented team who made this possible, keep up the good work!
As a high school band teacher I’m currently trying to get sheets for every theme so my students can play plants versus zombies music for their parents.
@@Farooosa its not programming at all.. just get a music file of this then replace it on the file explorer remember to change the name of the file like the original
@@decodedbunny101 it doesn't work like that. plants vs. zombies OST runs in an special decodification that can only be used with OpenMNT. it's very hard to make a file system that runs mp3 files, since all the info is in bass.dll. also you need tools like the main.pak extracter to edit stuff. basically, it is programming and its quite hard if you ask me. unless, you are using Hard Mode/PVZPAK since that ones already have the mp3 files decoded.
This makes me think of an alternate universe. Garden warfare 3 was released instead of battle for neighbourville, EA wasn’t involved and the devs were still involved. I could imagine seeing your version of choose your seeds in Garden Warfare 3, well I could imagine the whole soundtrack being in in it, it’d have a big hub world with lots of side missions and quests to do, there’d be a coffee shop, and this would play. But oh well, at least I have this to listen to
@@thisisaguy6613 most people still don't know what grind thousand or eclise or any of that stuff and honestly, I watch a lot more pvz heroes content lmao, it's a good game, well except for the fact that it has been abandoned by ea and the last card added was 4 years ago and we haven't had a minor update that is not just a bug fix since 2019, btw if you're interested in knowing more you should probally watch the youtuber/streamer fry em up :3
This soundtrack made me so joyful and yet still so sad. It made me realize that even though this franchise is most likely never returning to its former glory we should still be happy about what we had and the memories of the greatest possible tower defense to ever exist. I give my thanks to all who worked on this piece of pure art for helping me to remember the fond memories I had for Pvz.
@@butterflydreamer9649 didn’t forget but those games are also most likely never going to get a good sequel to gw2 because most of the team for the gw games are gone
@Safwaan Personally i feel pvz2 was pretty good, but my golly do pvz2 mods make the base game look greedy. I'm having a blast with a pvz 2 mod that makes it basically like pvz 1. every stage only has ten levels like the original. Also your wrong about that talk about sequels being worse then the first game. There are games that show that sequels can be just as good if not better then the first game. Take dead space 2 for example, and not just that game but also half life 2 and left 4 dead 2 as well, all these games just as good as the first ones if not better. It's just most game companies usually don't care much about the sequels and just see it as a way of more money. Which sadly pvz2 follows the money trend.
as someone raised on the PvZ franchise, and now a tenor player, This is all I needed in my life. thank you so much for this AMAZING album, Loonboon literally gave me shivers.
Excellent job! You did the ost justice and then some! I particularly really liked Graze the Roof, and really appreciated that not only did Watery Graves keep the leitmotif from Zombies on Your Lawn, but you also played into it! Well done!
2:32 EPIC organ solo, man ! This made my day, my week even ! Can't help but banging my head on the Drums/Bass combo too. Thanks so much for this music ! You got the groove !
nice work! my grandpa would like this if he still alive, Plants Vs Zombies make my relationship between my grandpa and me better, thanks for this amazing songs!.
Jazz zombie: it's literally just a bucket zombie playing jazz. Radius: 3 by 3 (6 by 6 if inspired/alt type) Pros: he doesn't eat plants, his music makes plants better, sunflowers give more suns, peashooters shoot faster, etc... and calms down saduko zombies Cons: his music makes every zombie in his radius faster and stronger (not more durable but kills plants faster) Also he pisses off disco zombies and if he dies, your plants (in radius ofc) suffer a debuff of 10 seconds. If someone takes his saxophone, prepare for trouble and make it double. "He doesn't care if he's gonna die again or if he's gonna piss Zomboss off for not fighting, as long as he can play, he's gonna play. Why is he like that you ask? Well when you're dead, you have too much more time left to train a sick jazz solo."
I love the original PVZ music to death, and this brings back the amazing melodies and rhythm with a new incredible spin! The nostalgia is tremendous and you do an amazing job at capturing the original spirit
I like how it is really recognizable even when it seems drastically changed, this game has been apart of my entire life, and listening to this just makes me feel like this game is more enjoyable to the point where I feel like people should play it more, it is definitely worth the 42 minutes, and whoever made this you're a legend, thank you.
I used to play football... Road cones protect my head. I have a screen-door shield. We are the u-n-dead! I like your tricycle! There's butter on my head. I'm gonna eat your brains! We are the u-n-dead!
I’ve known Plants vs Zombies for 10 years as of now. And just hearing something like this just makes me never want to let that PvZ relationship go. I love hearing that people still work on projects involving an older game. Thank you so much for making something like this! And good luck with your upcoming projects! Much love! ❤️
hey man i hate zombies as much as the next plant, but if i hear this rendition of graze the roof, id be lying if i said id be shooting peas instead of dancing along
@@helo6824 The game itself is actually pretty good for a sequel, even if it lost the charm of the original. I completely agree that EA made it p2w though. The difficulty became unreasonable just so you would buy the one plant that would win that specific level. I think the reasons that Zomboss' mech didn't show up was because his new mechs were either better, or it was just too big to fit in the time rifts he made 💀💀💀. Modern day's final boss was still the mother of all disappointments
When I was a kid I was bullied for almost all elementary school, but once I came back home to play PvZ nothing else matter, and doesn't matter how bad everything else was, PvZ made me happy, and now bringing back all those good memories thanks to you and your incredible music, I could feel like a kid again, a happy kid Thank you, I will support you on Patreon as show of my gratitude, keep the good job!
Man, same. With me, though, it was angry birds. It's funny to think that being bullied as a child gave me 3-inch thick skin harder than steel that no insult could ever penetrate
This music is so unironically good. Me my friends were lucky enough to go on a 20 day tour if Europe to perform in an orchestra (we're from the new york in the USA) and while we were there we found this video and listened to it, much to the chagrin of the rest of the tour, many, many, many, MANY times in the back of the coach bus
I was like what, 7-8 years old when I found out about this game, this was the first "actual game" I played and I hold it deeply in my heart Thanks to this game I was able to bond with now one of my best friends of my life, we would play this game for days, then in school we would talk about what we found I still remember the time we discovered the yeti existed, the excitement in our faces was immeasurable Theories, strategies, we talk about this game 24/7 to the point that we both got the gold sunflower and did competitions to see who was able to beat faster For every major release me and him were there to talk about with, we where there when pvz2 released, we tried to *100 legally download it* off of a website we, to this day, keep gushing about how GOOD the pvz soundtracks are, my friend specifically loved(and still does) the dark ages theme to the point it was his ringtone for a long time Hell, we eve played pvz adventured (if yall never heard of it you missed out), his and my favorite plat was the asparr when garden warfare was out, I only had a ps3 so I bought that version The amount of hours I spent playing that game were the best Ive had, camo soldier was my go to when gw2 was released my friend was the one that was stuck playing the game this time, I didn't have a good pc and or console back then, so he'd invite me to his house, day would turn into night without both of us noticing and to this day, him being 18 now and me 17, we still talk about it remembering everything we did together, we will sometimes just full on do pvz talk, about our favorite plat for every world, how we appreciate the ost even more because its just so DAMN GOOD, we both agree that it just feels like we always knew about this game and feels like we were just destined to play it. I don't really consider myself a PvZ aficionado,i'm not ALL pvz, most merch I have are 2 zombie plushies, but looking back and analyzing everything, this franchise has been with me almost all of my life all the youtube videos of animation i watched, all those dumb videos of the 357 versions of the peashooter such as fire peashooter, lighting peashooter, water peashooter, all of those hours just playing the minigames (fuck you zombotany) , how salty i would get at moments in garden warfare, i liked those moments. and seeing this video just makes me appreciate this franchise more, even with its sad current state. It just, makes me happy, that other people also love this game and its music, and that they also have a special love for it. so thank you, for making this not usually a long comment writer but this video just made me have to If by some chance my friend see this video and my comment, he'll know its him Love you bro, you stupid lmao
Lmao nice comment bro. Reminded me of my best friend in a different town. We used to compete and bond over pvz and other things in school and I challenged him in pvz2 to complete worlds in track records or using certain plants only heheh. Loonboon will always hold a place in my heart, and the fact that the creator has made the song so cool in jazz too just astounds me. It really gives justice of the awesomely creative tracks. Great job
I have a love-slight annoyance relationship with this album. In one hand, these are incredible jazz covers that I'll forever love for how groovy they are, but in the other hand they're so groovy that I can't do my homework without getting distracted. P.S I watched a lot of your covers after listening to this one, you make great content man!
You dont know just how much this means to me, like, when i hear this songs i just remember when i was little, i remember i always playd the original game on a laptop my father had, and i would just sit there and play the game for hours, i remember that everytime we went to my old grandmas house i would sit on the table and just play, i dont really know why this tiny couple of songs bring me so much emocions but still. This was something that always happenned to me with this type of things and i guess to other people aswell, so i just wanted to say it. By the way, zombies on your lawn was just espectacular, just like the rest of the album, im not a big fan of jazz but it still is great. Sorry if i had any gramar errors but english isnt my first language and im still learning a lot.
Your English is great! only mistakes I saw were spelling mistakes on "emotions" and "spectacular" and a few extra commas where they shouldn't be, but you are already very fluent!

Today, May 5th, PvZ turns 14. I listened to this whole album again (out of the million times I have) and I got tears in the last song. Congratulations to the franchise for making our childhoods and with banger OST.

I used to be scared of the zombies when I was little. I would play the game anyway - just with the sound turned off while quaking in my boots lol. I never got to the final boss either... I thought it was infinite. these covers are comfy and warm and taste like watermelon and cherry sorbet. love it!
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! I can’t believe how good this sounds, especially Watery Graves, simply amazing work of art! Please please please never change your greatness!
When i first saw this, i thought to myself, "Hey, this looks like a Mythicalwater drawing." Then i read the description. She just has such a distinctive style.
I think the first game will always have the most spirit and charm, but the 2nd (and the other sequels) are far from bad. PvZ2 is especially cool because it has so many plants and zombies. They couldn't succeed without the first, but the whole franchise is pretty strong.

No other game has captured it's energy and polish. The soundtrack being absolutely golden absolutely helps and you did it incredible justice.
Thank you! Plants Vs. Zombies defenitely has a place in my heart. I'm glad you dig it!

You know that what you are about to listen is good when you hear [2:39] "the lick" I love this album so much.

Jazz zombie: it's literally just a bucket zombie playing jazz.
Radius: 3 by 3 (6 by 6 if inspired/alt type)
Pros: he doesn't eat plants, his music makes plants better, sunflowers give more suns, peashooters shoot faster, etc... and calms down saduko zombies
Cons: his music makes every zombie in his radius faster and stronger (not more durable but kills plants faster) Also he pisses off disco zombies and if he dies, your plants (in radius ofc) suffer a debuff of 10 seconds.

Thanks to this game I was able to bond with now one of my best friends of my life, we would play this game for days, then in school we would talk about what we found
I still remember the time we discovered the yeti existed, the excitement in our faces was immeasurable
Theories, strategies, we talk about this game 24/7 to the point that we both got the gold sunflower and did competitions to see who was able to beat faster
For every major release me and him were there to talk about with, we where there when pvz2 released, we tried to *100 legally download it* off of a website
we, to this day, keep gushing about how GOOD the pvz soundtracks are, my friend specifically loved(and still does) the dark ages theme to the point it was his ringtone for a long time
Hell, we eve played pvz adventured (if yall never heard of it you missed out), his and my favorite plat was the asparr
when garden warfare was out, I only had a ps3 so I bought that version
The amount of hours I spent playing that game were the best Ive had, camo soldier was my go to
when gw2 was released my friend was the one that was stuck playing the game this time, I didn't have a good pc and or console back then, so he'd invite me to his house, day would turn into night without both of us noticing
and to this day, him being 18 now and me 17, we still talk about it remembering everything we did together, we will sometimes just full on do pvz talk, about our favorite plat for every world, how we appreciate the ost even more because its just so DAMN GOOD, we both agree that it just feels like we always knew about this game and feels like we were just destined to play it.
