Hi John, that was a great update, just like the old saying ' measure twice - cut once' always check your work and then glue, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Hi Les- the wings went together fairly well except that one assignment issue. I'm happy with the results so far. Thanks for watching and regards from Texas!
I finished the 2nd plane last weekend. This is a really really nice kit - paint masks and PE are included. I thought the instructions were a bit lacking, critical illustrations were shaded - looked like they were photocopied. Didn’t occur to me to straighten the bent wing, but your “how to “ was really interesting 😃. I made a rookie mistake with the 1st fuselage by. Installing the engine firewall upside down. Figured that out the next day and fixed that, but then I had to do a bit of bondo. So that fuselage became the bent wing model - the bent wings hide the affected area 😁. When I compared the Magic Factory Corsair to the Tamiya, the Magic Factory is clearly the more detailed model. And of course blows the doors off my Academy F4U 😂
There's been talk about the rivet patterns being fictional but I'm not gonna lie- it doesn't matter to me when the kit builds up this nice. You're absolutely right- the instructions leave a bit to be desired for sure. Thanks for your feedback!
@@timanderson5543 that's a great alternative if you're willing to spend more. Honestly I'd build the folded wing version if I was to do it again. Thanks for sharing your idea and thank you for watching!
Hi John, nice work. I saw this kit at my most visited retailer and dismissed it for some reason. Might have to go back and grab it. I built the Tamiya version some years ago so would be interesting to see how this one stacks up.
Thank you- to be honest I haven't built the Tamiya Corsair but I've watched a couple of builds and this kit definitely has more detail and the wings go together a little easier. So far it's been a hassle free build.

Glad to see this, and that you have the option now. I’m really enjoying your coverage of this kit
Thanks very much Kevin- I appreciate you watching. I should have the next part ready this week.
Sweet!😊 This kit set is on my list & I'm very tempted by thier new A4 Skyhawk set!
I'm right there with you - waiting on that A-4M like it'll be Christmas! Thank you for watching!
I contacted magic factory and ordered D sprue with unfolded wing spar.

@@MisterGsWorkbench they should have supplied an extra 1ea. Of the 2 spars
@@timanderson5543 yeah that would have been great. Unfortunately we have no idea what went into that business decision.
Great video buddy.....must have spent a fortune on that model wearing the tshirt ❤
Thank you- that guy was very hard to work with!
Excellent! Thank you 🙌
Glad you enjoyed it- thanks for watching!

I don't see the necessity of neutral flaps as a disadvantage because they were generally/often retracted on F4U-1s, unlike -4s.
As long as they look correct- that's the important thing. Appreciate your input and thanks for watching!
Just a comment for the algorithm.
Thanks again!
