Hi Peter ... The pause was for softner to be added . Also the pauses in your all of your machines after the wash and rinse phases ... Where for setiment ..dirt ..to come to the bottom of the tube to flush out away from the fabrics being washed. Happy washing your collection is spectacular!!! 🌊🌀💧
Thanks so much for recording and posting this video. As we spoke earlier this particular GE Flo Washer with this particular agitator is very hard to find online. You're amazing. 💯🥳
The washer is in great condition and has a decent rollover with the straight vane agitator. GE made great washers and dryers back then. They were workhorses.
Stunning machine I would love a machine that recycles water the whole cycle makes sure clothes are washed well I hope I can find one of these by me to replace my crappy lg
@@nbk57ra you have to keep looking and when they come up, they're snatched up right away. As soon as I saw one that I thought was good like this one I write away went to get it.
I don't understand why GE wont make this model again. The consumers want this type of wash action and filter flo system to clean clothes better than this HE crap. If GE made this model again Speed Queen would have much competition.
@@terrancebell8498 absolutely I do believe Speed queen gets away with using more water than the other machines because of the government contracts that's just my opinion. They have the military contracts, and that alone is huge. I love the way the filter flow system works. It really catches just about everything.
Manufacturing has gone way past this era and the expense of making a machine like this now wouldn't be worth it, new machines have half of the parts this has and that is what they have to do now in order to be competetive.
Hey. I'd like to hear the machine on the regular cycle on small with the ramped activator on normal speed with the lid shut for the full cycle for asmr.
They were incredibly awesomely built machines, had one for 24 years never had a problem with it until the boot went on the bottom and couldn't get a replacement miss that machine dearly😊
@@Emdsd45T yeah I wasn't used to it at first and I forgot what it was like years ago when we had to filter flows my mother had a 1955 and then we had a 1976
the straight agitator wont strip out the spline. the corkscrew one did a few hundred times on me. just change the spline with hammer & socket. easy $5 replace 👍 or it was 30+ years ago.. lol
If you can figure what kind of oil goes in the transmission that would be helpful usually the seals on the transmission fail long before anything else does I replaced all of the seals on mine cause it was leaking when I got it I replaced the old oil in it with air compressor oil because it doesn’t have any detergents in it
I like the straight vain agitation seems to really move the towels around
I prefer myself, although I put back in the ramp Agitator because that’s what came with the machine. I prefer the straight.
Pete thank you for doing this video. There are very few videos with this particular agitator
@@patcola7335 you're very welcome and I texted you if I spelt vein or vain correctly, and you didn't answer me!!!

@@LlyleHunter thanks Bruce. I hunted a long time to find this one. I was amazed at the condition. It was in like it was hardly used.
This is like the filter-flo my parents had in the 80s. Does it have the mini basket?
@@andrewclarke3622 I just tracked one down online. I should have it by next week maybe this week
Both agitators work really well, this is a super powerful washer. Do you know what year this machine was made?
@@BillyLee25 I think it was 1985. I have to double check.
I don't understand why the new machines don't agitate like this. A machine can still be HE with a vigorous wash action.
Costs. To have powerful agitation, such as this, the machine needs a transmission. Majority of “HE” machines don’t have that to keep costs down.
@@MatthewJames-st5wv This is so stupid! Bring back the real washers and dryers! And yes, I love feeling the breeze off the filter-flo.

This filter-flo similar to one my parents had in the 80s. The ramp agitator does seem more effective.
