It’s amazing how exact the consumption compared. I have to agree with the other person below. Keep the gold machine for a few reasons. I would say initially because one speed machines have better repair records overall due to fewer parts and mechanical simplicity to begin with and since unlike other manufacturers Maytag had a great way of running their gentle cycle they were able to maintain great fabric care despite not having slower agitation though their agitation wasn’t terribly agressive to begin with. There are two other things to take into consideration. One is that the gold machine was used lightly and only half of the year while the other machine was used heavily on a farm and probably subjected to full loads often. It was used year around and when you obtained it it sounds as though it wasn’t stored in a climate controlled environment. Since you have stated that the motor doesn’t sound as smooth all of this adds up to telling me that the gold machine is a safer bet in the long run.
@@LlyleHunter Bruce I appreciate your input very much. I wish I could keep both, but I don't want to turn my living room into a laundry room. If you know what I mean and it's getting that way so I have to kind of watch myself. The motor sounds louder on the speed so it kind of worries me a little.
Nice to see you got a fabric softener cup for the orbital! It looks good now! I think you should keep the white one that’s top of the line. The ‘87 A712/10 Maytags were like no other.
@@MSPspotter6 god bless eBay for finding things. Thanks for the input. I wish I could put the gold cabinet on the A712 then it would be exactly the same machine I had with my mom. I know that sounds crazy.
@@petermaz701 Technically it would be possible, if you want to completely take apart both machines and rebuild them with the new cabinet. You’re right, eBay is truly amazing for anything you need to find.
@@MSPspotter6 yeah I figured it would be possible but it's something out of my scope and my nerves are in all that good but it could be done with a person that was patient enough to do it. Simply because it's the exact same body the same in casing everything and nothing is really attached to the cabinet itself..
I LOVE THE GOLD ONE, THE COLOR IS A STATEMENT...GREAT COMPARISON VIDEO TO SEE...
@@alix1817 Thank You 😊 for your opinion.
I love the harvest gold washer. You should keep it.
@@erg844 Thanks
That was fun fact-finding🥳. Please keep the gold one. It has grown on me🌝.
@@wyzemann yeah the gold one is the original one that I got that started all this. Thanks for watching.
If it were me I’d keep the gold one due to the fact that it’s been lightly used and the color is just great looking

Keep the old gold one … pass on the most modern machines .. the old
