Thank you for this incredible advice! I'm starting to write my personal statements and this video gave me a clear, concise take on how to approach my statement. I truly appreciate your help and will definitely be coming back for more content! :)
hey, I'm also trying to apply to Cambridge for Architecture, this video was veryyyy helpful. could you possibly do a video about the interview experience, admissions assessments ( I'm aware that the assessments are split into two parts so I'm wondering how they lay it out). Also quick question, do I have to include final pieces in my portfolio, or should I include the process to get to that stage as well as personal sketchbooks? thanks a lotttt
Hey hey, I’m glad it was helpful! Yes absolutely, I have a video on my interview day including the assessments that hopefully should come out next Sunday. You certainly don’t haveee to do anything in particular at all - I remember there being very few specific rules. I think the general guidance is obviously to show off your final pieces, but equally bring in the development work too so, yes as you said, you can then discuss how the project evolved. Certainly in my case, I remember the most engaging conversations tended to be centred around my thoughts behind my work rather than just how it looked at the end if that makes sense! I was advised to bring sketchbooks, development as well as final pieces.
