  • After ten years of fighting, peace between the Tuareg guerrillas and government troops was recently signed. The war and the crisis of modernity have endangered the secular caravan carrying salt on camels from the Aïr to Agadez. This year, two Tuareg children can accompany their families in this trailer for the first time in a climate of peace, and this chapter of the series will see the generational change of the Tuareg tradition thanks to the friendship of these two children whose families were on opposite sides during the past conflict.

The kids have manners and respect for older people. Shake hands and smile and say something to the mother and father. Hard workers. I like to see videos with a narrator in English. Thank you.

I like to see these videos of caravans of the Berber people and Bedouin people. And camels and tents and the food they eat and the Turags.

the point they neglect is the caravans are a local technology; they are sustainable with what they have there. The trucks outperform the caravans, but you need an entire infrastructure for that. Not just gas and oil, many parts; and the tools needed to service them. You switch to trucks for a few generations and you completely lose the ability to use caravans at all and become dependent on someone else
