I love watching these big trucks off road...I want that pin so we can take our Kodiak 4500 4x4 up there with our truck camper🤙It looks like a great spot to camp😂
You car really see how well ALL components work together! From tires to suspension to opening up the wheel wells for the tires and finally the fit and finish; it looks just like Ram would have made it from the factory. As always wonderful work and the video scenery magnificent!
The price is huge but remember the truck itself from a dealer is 100+K if your lucky and the amount of work done to it is at least 60 to 70 grand in parts then the labor. In my opinion Elevation company does the most comprehensive build and quality of all the overland builders.
Love these trucks! I would like more info on your web page, For example, do you provide an appropriate spare tire jack for a lifted truck? Where is it stowed. Can you add locking differentials? How about after market interior upgrades? How about Bully Dog Upgrades - Let's go all the way!
Thank you very much! We have options to add spare tire and jack; the new ARB hydraulic jack is great for our trucks. ARB air lockers can be added as well for clients seeking that feature. We work very closely with Ford and RAM dealers and can get specific interior features from the factory if a client was interested. We also offer PCM tuning options that provide comparable power to the HO 6.7 engines.
I'm curious does it not go fast when it's off road because it seems like you are driving it at 10km/h or maybe it's the driver who is being too careful?
Awesome video showcasing spectacular scenery and rugged truck ability! I was blown away when the truck climbed that steep incline with no problems at all! Was this done with the Liquid Springs suspension at normal ride height, or did you have to elevate it for clearing those larger rocks?? Give my compliments to the drone operator - some of those shots were fantastic!!
Thanks so much! Suspension was in its highest mode for the first rock obstacle, but after seeing it walk right over that no problem, normal ride height the rest of the way!
I'm working to get my license of cdl . Then I want a truck a long distance truck one that is commercial grade enough to get me to california so ram 5500 here I come
Thanks so much! We build on the RAM 5500 and Ford F-550 platforms, and only on a reservation basis with new trucks. We will be releasing an F-350/450 package very soon, but not yet for the RAM 3500 and 4500s.
Not sure if this will fit in my garage how wide truck gets from front with those flared fenders what’s the size of those fenders and how wide is front bumper?????
@@elevationoffgrid wow! that high? I am at 45 psi with my toyo at3's on the pavement. have you driven in snow? what would you recommend for that type of condition. thanks!
@@Mike-re2ok These are 41" military tires - the ratings are much different than passenger vehicle tires. Airing down to 35psi in these is similar to 15-20psi on typical all terrain tires.
Awesome truck! I'm curious, how much higher is your truckbed than a stock Ram 3500? Could you still tow a standard 5th wheel trailer without having to mod the trailer itself lift wise? Great stuff!
Thank you sir! The bed is about 7" higher than a standard 350/450/3500/4500. We like Diamond C for our gooseneck trailers as they have a bit higher deck height that tends to work great with our trucks. With other trailers, sometimes a 2" axle lift on the trailer helps match the height better.
Question for current Ford and or Ram diesel owners...I've been reading a lot of reviews on the two modern diesel engines and the problems they are having - especially with the EPA requirements. is there anyone having these issues? Or is this some what over blown? Anyone driving Ford's 7.3 gas engine? If my intent is to throw on a slide in camper and pull a small boat or a couple of side-by-sides... do I really need the Diesel?
We have not had any issues from engines with the trucks we build. We do build only on diesel engines unless requested by a client otherwise. If you plan on using the truck a lot - diesel is fine. If you won't use it often, gas may be more practical.
Only issue with a rig like this is being able to source the tires out on the road. If you take a road trip in this and blow a tire, you're going to have to wait 2 weeks for a replacement.
And as of today, I don’t think they have lost a tire yet. Of course the key here is “Air Maintenance “. Keeping the proper pressure in them for what you are doing.
Its easy to climb a hill empty any truck can do that but when you have to climb with a one ton tree going up or down it puts stress on brakes frame and tires and you really need lumber jack truck driving experience
I like everything about these trucks but them flairs in the front are kind of ugly. If I ever had the chance to own one of these I'd use some kind of pre runner fenders in the front to make it more seamless
I think the point is you can tow your house up that road with this rig and also if you happen to bash a rock the rock would have a bad day not your center diff
You are correct! We were passed by a herd of Hybrid Prius drivers on the way up! There's even a Tesla Supercharger for our full EV friends about 1/2 a mile past the tree line on the right. If charging here we would recommend keeping an eye out for bears.
I like that y'all made this video with just the truck sound and nature, rather than some silly song playing. Really enjoyed it.

I've seen other youtubers in well prepared jeeps struggle on those rock out-croppings. No problems with the Ram; just a Sunday drive. Lol
Great video - looks like Argentine Pass. That RAM looks amazing and handles so well
Thank you very much!
And I thought my 97 F250HD was big on the trail. Sure wouldn't mind a 450/550 build like this to tow my future 43' fifth wheel.
This is sick 🔥

As a big truck builder - you should make a list of all trails in CO that you can take a full size truck.
Also, what trail was this ?
Awesome truck, but I'd have to have a 6ft bed.
What a HOSS. lol.

What PSI did you air down to before hitting the trail?
35

There are portions of that trail that warrant it. Always better to be safe than sorry when you’re by yourself and have a 200+lb tire/wheel combo

New. We pre order chassis' in advance and build them out from the factory.

Is this originally a 84” ca ?
We can only build pickup beds for the F-550 and RAM 5500 on the 60” CA chassis.
What's the point if is not a dually?
Major increase in traction with no loss in towing capability or stability.
Its easy to climb a hill empty any truck can do that but when you have to climb with a one ton tree going up or down it puts stress on brakes frame and tires and you really need lumber jack truck driving experience
5500 is 4000 better than a 1500! 3000 better than a 2500! I want the uranium edition.
Well, I have a 100k 2500 Longhorn Limited. I'm wondering how to get about 40s on it..😂
100% doable, after installing the lift, you’ll just need to spend some time cutting and grinding for clearance inside the wheel well.
Lifetime warranty?
All manufacturer warranties are maintained and our components / LiquidSpring carry a 3 year warranty.
Cool to watch but definitely to much truck for that stuff definitely would keep it to tow heavy hauls
Great for towing, not much else.
I would like to see a water crossing with the F550 or the RAM 5500...
Looks like my driveway. Wish you had taken it on something tougher... I understand you can't in a customers truck.
How much does this car cost?
Our 2023 RAM 5500 Black Edition is $215,000. Our Ford F-550 Black Edition is $184,900 - Ford chassis is a bit cheaper from the factory than the RAM.
