      In India, sanskrit is world oldest language. In sanskrit, " Vid" means " Knowledge" . your channel name is " engvid" .so it means " Knowledge of english" I likes your videos and channel. Thanks james

    You are right James. Understanding the roots and the meaning of the preposition help so much to understand phrasal verbs. I wasn´t a fan of UTube, but now I can say that I´m crazy about it. Perhaps I´m addicted to. Gracias. I almost gave up my goal to turn into a native speaker and writer because of phrasal verbs. With your help and also all the courses of UTube from other teachers, I will reach that goal. Gracias amigo.

    My teacher- I mean you James -is super helpful to his students. 👍🏻
    I'm crazy about him.💜
    ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
    But I have a big problem with "to" and "for" when I want to say:
    It was helpful to/for me ⁉️🤔
    I hope you teach us about the differences between them.😊👍🏻
    God bless you, Thanks a lot.💙🙏🏻💙

    When it comes to prepositions, rules simply don't cut it, the best way to learn them is by listening to native speakers using them and hopefully over time you'll be able to figure out their specific usage by yourself...

    • @Kannadalyricalsongs507
      @Kannadalyricalsongs507 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Johnny Valencia are you a native speaker?

    • @amantedelmondo1787
      @amantedelmondo1787 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      SHWETA HANAGANDI No I'm not, but that's how I learned them, basically I got tired of going through dozens of books with a bunch of rules that were impossible for me to learn so I focused on the specific use native speakers gave to each preposition, that way I was able to infer how to use them based on any given context...

    • @Kannadalyricalsongs507

    Sorry, but I could not undertand the difference between the prepositions On and To and abut their usage. It is confusing to me, why I cannot say "Tough to" or "Rough to" if it can be directed to someone, as in " He is been rough to me".
