You are right James. Understanding the roots and the meaning of the preposition help so much to understand phrasal verbs. I wasn´t a fan of UTube, but now I can say that I´m crazy about it. Perhaps I´m addicted to. Gracias. I almost gave up my goal to turn into a native speaker and writer because of phrasal verbs. When it comes to prepositions, rules simply don't cut it, the best way to learn them is by listening to native speakers using them and hopefully over time you'll be able to figure out their specific usage by yourself...

Sorry, but I could not undertand the difference between the prepositions On and To and abut their usage. It is confusing to me, why I cannot say "Tough to" or "Rough to" if it can be directed to someone, as in " He is been rough to me".
