I think if more people saw these types of videos, they would appreciate their vehicles more. These, basic maintenance and how to safely change a flat should all be included in driver's education too.
Nice to see people at work with good jobs making products in the USA even if it's not Detroit. Detroit needs these kinds of jobs badly. They used to be there.
As a professional auto tech I can really appreciate the work going into building these vehicles. But at the same time I hate it because getting at one small part requires disassembly of an entire vehicle. I really enjoy this video

Thanks for the video, just bought a new 17 LS a couple of days ago, from the sticker in the door panel it went down the line just a month ago so they must not stay on the lot very long. Really like it so far.
I rented one of these monsters from Enterprise one time. It took a little bit of getting used to, but I grew to like it. Not enough to spring for one, but it was fun to drive. Good work, ladies and gentlemen!!
I hired in at this plant in 1977, retired in 2008 and for the last 9 years have been working part time as contract labor there, I can say that I have not seen a single familiar face in this video LOL
I drive a 2017 Tahoe PPV police vehicle at work. It is totally awesome and love the room, comfort and performance of this vehicle. Better than the Crown Victoria
Wow. I am obviously from the dark ages. Technology has come so far since the grinding stone. Thank you to all the women and men working to make this awesome machine happen. This happens to be my dream car. Made in America, too!
Cool vid, Bruce.. I'm in the body shop in this plant. I'm shocked that you were able to film this, also... What would've been way cooler is if you could've followed the body in a few spots.
+Everette Lawson III Everette, I was able to video the assembly of my white 2009 Tahoe back in 2009. Here is that video. Back then I was able to make the request to the Plant Manager th-cam.com/video/BKMkhoYUg-c/w-d-xo.html

Actually, Drivetrain wise, The GM engine/transmission in the SUVs and Trucks last longer than pretty much any Japanese, German, American vehicles out there, thats been documented and proven through the years, so no worry. The LS based engine in the Tahoes, Suburbans, Yukons, Silverado, Sierra, Corvette, Camaro, Large vans go 200K to 400K + on a regular basis, proven.

Easy jobs .and they were fighting for more money. Be happy they have it that easy they dont have to work out in the sun or lift anything heavy or do five things at one time.
johny torres so by that logic they should be making less money because in China assembly line workers don’t make as much, and also by that logic a person working at a factory making small equipment should make less than someone at a factory making large machinery
You must be one of those folks at the top who hate to see people proudly working. You'd rather them be strung out on drugs fighting amongst each other because they no longer have access to a good job, a job that was stolen from them by greed! And we're supposed to look up to those evildoers at the top of the totem pole? Never!
Tony C That’s false, most Chevy cars are made in the Oshawa plant in Toronto Canada, Arlington Plant Texas (in this video), Saginaw plant Michigan, etc.
Hi there, does anyone knows here how to remove the two front seats of the this suburban ? 2015.. are they are screw in or rivet, or bolts or what ?? Can't fine them ... I see the two in the front ... but they look like rivets .
Misha Sokhadze The unions probably feel it's oppressive. American workers look like slobs as compared to European and Asian workers. What an image we set.
@@Velo1010 I guess you're an expert on automotive assembly. If you really were, you'd know that most assembly plants around the world operate much the same, with no uniforms.
Wife:Hunny why did our new tahoe just fall apart? Hubby:well because it was proudly made in Arlington tx by a bunch of Randys that only hand torqued all the bolts to human specs hunny!

They still are. 3 assembly plants either completely or partly in the city and another 5 in south eastern Michigan.

Love the Escalade behind this Tahoe, crazy how they are both built on same assembly line.

My 93 Roadmaster was built at this assembly plant! Kinda funny how the plant went from full sized cars to full sized SUVs!

Best SUVs ... Had mine since 2007 with 200K and only rebuild on the 4L60 ... Still runs like new but I want a new 2018-2019 Denali

Ol Donkey just being an ass.....
you won't really need it, GM drivetrains are bulletproof even when abused. it's just their interior quality and fit and finish that needs working on.
Agreed! I would also like to Point Out that the 400K you state is 400,000 MILES which Equals 676,000KM!
I can testify to that. I've run a 1989 K-Blazer with 275K miles, followed by a 2001 Yukon with 320K miles. No engine replacements.
Literally slapped together.
