I wish I saw this the other day haah my first time using a Tesla and Tesla charger and couldn’t find these at first ended up doing another lap of bluewater 😂 thank you!
Thanks for this video , really helpful. I went to use these before and couldn’t find them so ended up using the original chargers. Now I know where they are for next time !
I do also wish there were some Tesla Destination (Type 2) chargers for Tesla owners there too, that would make a lot of sense for people staying there for a while, or visiting the cinema, having dinner etc.
They certainly used to have a vehicle collection point set up there in the car park with the new superchargers, but the Tesla showroom at Bluewater has closed so I suspect they’ve moved the operations to their Dartford service centre and showroom. To be honest I don’t know. I think you’ll have to email Tesla to confirm the delivery location but I think you’ll get that information when your car is ready to collect. Enjoy your new car I’ve had my Model S since January 2016 and my wife sold her BMW i3 for a Tesla model three long range in May last year. The only fault we’ve seen on the Model 3 was the charge flap that didn’t close properly. They just replace the component. She’s very pleased with the car.
I'm not complaining, but since there were already 5 Superchargers, at this location, if they had enough power for 6 x 150kw, instead of 12 more superchargers, I would have prefered 40 x 22kw AC so that we could plug in and leave it for 2 or 3 hours while we wander around and shop and eat, instead of me having to leave the other half and children after 45 minutes to go back and move the car and then try to find them again I suppose in a year or two, when there are a load of Ys and (euro?) Cybertrucks, then we probably do want them to do it quick and move
I'm in no doubt that the additional SuperChargers are needed as 5 was just not enough, and there is nothing else in the way of rapids that are worth mentioning on the A2 in Kent, but I agree on the provision of destination chargers would be a bonus. The same would go for Westfield London which now has 24 SuC bays. There are a number of free Type-2 PodPoints at Bluewater (mid-level Rose Gallery), but you need to get there early to beat the PHEV's to the bays! Tesla also have a number of destination chargers there, but these are only for the demo/showroom cars. For the long term I am firmly of the opinion that en-route charging will become mostly redundant within 10 years. This is because as the range of EVs increases beyond what you can possibly drive in a day, virtually all charging will be done at destinations; home, shopping centres, hotels, airports, railway stations, restaurants etc. What we really need is a 100% roll-out of lamp-post and similar chargers in streets where houses don't have off-street parking. Tenants of leasehold properties should have the right to install their own charging facilities and not be inhibited or ripped-off by freeholders. I think companies investing in rapid charging stations probably have a limited life expectancy and oil companies will soon find out that many of their petrol stations are badly positioned for charging as the use case and buying patterns is very different from selling petrol. Why would you pay any more than free or at worst an Economy 7 rate to charge your car apart from a very last resort?

Great info Justin. Bearing in mind how long it took me to find the other ones first time this is a great and detailed explanation.
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks! I'm glad you found it useful, the advantage of being far from the madding crowd! :-)
Thanks Justin, very useful
Thanks for the video! I'd been trying to figure out where these were for a while 🙏
Took me ages to find it! :-)
excellent, thanks.. Bluewater car parks arent the easiest to orientate in so this was very useful

Very useful, thanks! do they have the collection point setup there too?
