    First song i heard was "Fornite" from hearts and darts, i thought it was cool and listened to a few more of his songs he had out at that time, then i slowly start hearing his name a bit more and im like "i remember him thats sick hes getting a name for himself" and then it came out he was kendricks cousin and it felt like a plot twist in a tv show

    So Kendrick wrote for keem, passed him along with every single industry connect and relationship, made it seem “organic” pulling the wool over the public’s eyes (heavily influencing perception about him) and this is all fine and good. No one sees this as slightly deceptive? Omitting nepotism is still nepotism. Which has more to do with positioning and less to do with talent

    It will never not be crazy that his cousin was Kendrick. Like its Kendrick. But im glad the world got to see Keems worth outside of Kdot. He became one of my favorite artist because of his unique sound and energy. And Melodic Blue was an experiment gone very well, and is still in rotation. Its tough, but Kendrick denying Keem any opportunity with his clear potential and talent would probably be the wrong choice imo.

    Nepotism is inevitable. If Baby Keem was never a thing and we never heard of Orange Soda or Family Ties. People around him would figure out for themselves that Baby/Hykeem is related to Kenny and would Pimp it for their own benefit. Even Kendrick mentioned it throughout his album, by mentioning how he would abuse his power. So imagine someone in Keem's circle using his relationship with Kendrick to boost their own career or using him for their own clout.

    is it dumb to say this isnt nepotism? babykeem didnt get famous because of kendrick, but kendrick might have helped a bit when he was alrdy known, me personally and you said this aswell, you knew abt keem b4 you knew that kendrick was his cousin, idk though im just thinking

    • @hadjitube
      @hadjitube  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      nah i dont think its dumb to say. i think by the textbook definition of what nepotism is, it kinda counts, but its more an example of using ur platform to help a genuinely talented relative than it is just putting ur relatives on bc theyre yr relatives. so in that way u are kinda right

      @@ayamurayama3961 i know what you mean but you can not take Kendrick's spotlight he has become too big too fall off no one ever really thought mr morale & the big steppers is bad he is irreplaceable yes he'll get a huge career but he just doesn't have the feeling so to say as Kendrick does you can't really match his lyricism only be worse or better but baby keem is not comparable to Kendrick yes i believe they can both be 50m monthly listeners at the same time but definitely not in the same subgenre as much as i love both of their music careers they are in different subgenres so you really shouldn't be comparing them of course I'm not saying that they aren't both int my top 30 Artist oat but that's just my opinion

    I dont believe Keem is Kendrick's family. I once had a dealer who just stopped selling drugs one day. A new guy no one knew was now answering the old dealer's phone and the old dealer said it was his cousin. ltr on, after abt a yr, the old dealer admitted that the new guy wasnt really his cousin. he had sold the new dealer his phone and his customers and lied bc NO ONE wouldve fw new guy any other way.. my point is ppl lie, for whatever reason
