Shout out to Asmodeus' voice actor, James Monroe Iglehart, who is a BROADWAY ACTOR. The man is known for portraying Genie in the Broadway production of Aladdin and was even a replacement actor in Hamilton. Vivzie somehow managed to score obnoxious amounts of talent for her voice actors.

They are far too busy either shadow banning, or in some cases, deleting quality content creators’ accounts, & unsubscribing the creators’ fandom base into oblivion.
But watch as that quickly fills up with lazy content that's barely animated
I never heard of Helluva Boss until Saberspark did his review of Fairview. What impressed me was not just the animation, production, music, and design, but who they got for voice acting.
Getting Richard Horvitz (Zim), Mara Wilson (Matilda), Maxwell Atoms (worked on Cow & Chicken, I Am Wiesel, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice from Teen Titans Go), Christina Vee (Sailor Mars and a TON of others), Norman Reedus (Darryl on The Walking Dead), and Erica Luttrell was a huge accomplishment for a TH-cam Animated Show. And that's not to take anything away from the rest of the cast, which did a great job.
Latest episode for season 2 also featured Johnathan Freeman (Jafar from Aladdin)

Alex Brightman is a broadway performer, stared in School of Rock and the Beetlejuice Musical. Those roles are what he's most known for, as far as I am aware.
@@hannahking6818 I've never seen a Broadway performance, so for ME, he's known as the guy who voiced Beetlejuice in an episode of Teen Titans Go and (more recently) voice Pugsley and Temeluchus in Dead End: Paranormal Park.

I just think that hiring him to voice Fizzarolli had more to do with his broadway career, seeing as he sung with another broadway performer in House of Asmodeus. The reason why helluva boss is so good is because there isn't a huge corporation that's stressing the animators and writers with deadlines
People like to hate on Vivziepop, but she's done something that I thought was impossible on TH-cam, and that deserves mad credit.
It was something cool for a bit after the hype wore down I just don't care for this show it's writing is modern family guy level humour is "me say bad words and porn jokes" neither of which are funny if overused and world building is like a dad. I do respect vivziepop and her team but if they want long term success and good press this ain't cutting it

Man, if I had a nickel for every time a magical owl character that started out as a joke in an amazing animated show ended up having more depth then was expected I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Man I can’t believe it took this long for episode 8 to release. I came out of nowhere and I guess it somewhat was worth the wait. After the last few episodes that came out after sabers review being a bit lackluster, episode 8 reminded me why I fell in love with the series and adult animation as a whole.
To be honest, Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are huge inspirations to me as a writer. As Saber said, the designs do come off as what people might consider "cringy" or "childish", but both stories really showed the myth behind weird "cringe" limitations people put behind character design. Heck , behind stories in general, really showing to me the value in loving your characters and story, even if it might come off as weird to others. Great video Saber, glad to see you cover this one

What absolutely amazes me is IT'S BETTER THAN WHAT MAINSTREAM ADULT ANIMATION IS PUTTING OUT! It isn't just some cash grab show with poor graphics, gross-out humor, and cheap jokes, it's actually well made and is blowing most cable channels out of the water. If I was rich enough, I would gladly finance the entire project just because of how great it is.

In my opinion, Vivzie and crew have made absolute history with Helluva Boss, it's become one of the best shows to ever air on this site i love everything about it both the art,animation and voice acting is just phenomenal and well done!!!

There is a reason why episode 8 is taking so long. From many people who work with Viv and even Viv herself, they said there were some technical problems. Like rendering a few certain shots and scenes, though they did release a teaser GIF a week or two ago. So we should get it by the end of May or the beginning of June.
The release date is public. June the 1st
I'm more than content to wait. I'd rather wait for a finished product the creator is happy with, then demand a rush and get a choppy mess.

For me, my favourite moment in the series is when Blitzo starts hallucinating and his subconscious turns into a Pink Floyd’s Trial scene. The music, animation, and plot were all perfect.
That scene honestly terrified me because I'm not one who likes confrontation or seeing confrontation but it's just so interesting

Brandon Rogers deserves some more credit. He's the co-writer for Helluvaboss next to doing the voice of Blitz.
Richard Horowitz also helps out with voice direction and is very involved.

Probably my FAVORITE thing about this show is the voice acting, particularly the ones with roots in musical theatre. A show that has good songs isn't as good if the people singing them can't, well, sing, and that's why I love that they hired people from the musical industry. It is an absolute treat getting to see some of my favorite Broadway actors being in this random animated series on the internet that I love, and going absolutely feral when a new one appears. I lost my damn gourd when Alex Brightman and Barrett Wilbert Weed were in the second episode, this series ended up in my finding Gentleman's Guide, a show from like 2014 the Bryce Pinkham was in, which has become my all time favorite musical, and James Monroe Igleheart absolutely killed it as Asmodeus. I cannot wait to see who they bring on next! (Also I reeeeeally hope that they give Barrett Wilbert Weed a song in this show)

The character development in helluva boss is absolutely phenomenal. Take Stolas for example. In the beginning he wanted nothing more than lust. But overtime he started to develop genuine feelings for blitz.
I think he was in love with Blitz ever since they met. He probably was so extremely lustful because he missed out so much during his rather loveless marriage. So he feels like he has to go full speed to get all these lost years back. Same reaction as some adults who act overly childish because they missed out on a happy childhood.

Helluvaboss is the perfect example of a passion project turned reality... and as someone who wants to do animation, it's the perfect motivation. Hats off to Vivziepop and crew, to the actors, the animators, the visual team the writers. Every single person involved, has been involved, is going to be involved.
They released Season 2 Episode 1 yesterday and couldn't release episode 7 pt. 2 because of frikin' copyright issues
I normally cant stand characters that are perfect at everything and have no faults but SaberSpark finally managed to write a character that pulls it off perfectly. Whats even better is that this character is so humble and down to earth! Cant wait to see them accept their award at the golden globes

Dang I never even heard of this channel until just now, man did my parents made me miss out on so much with their overprotective nature and watching everything I watched and keeping an eye on everything I did just to make sure I could watch and do stuff without consequences. Adult content was generally frowned upon in my family and I was stuck with kids content until I finally turned 18 and got to branch out and man did I miss out on so much. Tbh I am really curious to see what direction Hazbin Hotel is gonna go, now that it has been adopted by a television production. I wonder if the show is gonna have a lot of restrictions, or it's gonna be able to run free and do whatever it wants like Helluva Boss. I wonder if the animation style is gonna change a lot as well

I personally didn't mind It, like It was obvoius that Stella was not a good person, look in Ep 2 She crearly mad about Stolas ruining her image by spleeping with and Imp, and I think people are mad when She was made abusive was because they had expetations and they were ruined. But Heard me out, It wasn't Implied that Stella was abusive but It was never even Implied that She treated her husband with respect.
I've never seen something getting reaction videos as fast as helluva boss does. Last night the newest episode released, and it only took around an hour for a reaction video to show up

I hate it, because if you make something too kid friendly they then make it so you cannot comment on the video itself and all payments go to TH-cam. It’s hard to fight against google I mean TH-cam... it’s sickening for animators. It’s probably a lot of reasons why animators and animations on TH-cam walk such a thin line.. because someone in Google I mean TH-cam, thinks every animation is supposedly for kids.. including South Park..
I would honestly love it if Viziepop ever gave us a detailed retelling of how she managed to make, and more importantly fund, her studio and the creation of Helluva Boss. Was it possible because of the money she got from signing a deal on Hazbin Hotel? Was it possible because of a business loan? I know there’s probably a lot of people with amazing project ideas that would do well on TH-cam like Helluva Boss, if they figured out how to finance that first episode. As it can’t be cheap to employ such talented animators!
Yes, that’s what I would like to know. It’s extremely hard to be both good at animation AND funding/marketing said animations. Just look at Ub Iwerk’s attempt at forming his own animation studio after parting ways with Walt Disney for historical reference.

Its called.... Talking to people and asking them to invest. Anyone who saw the amount of money crowdfunded for 0 return would see the opportunity. Safe bet.
I know a ton comes from Patreon support, as well as merchandising, but thats more or less the only stuff that I know of that has contributed notably with financing. Donations and Merch sales. Its really home grown all the way through if that is all there is to it.
She's had a Patreon going since at LEAST the start of development on Hazbin/Helluva. Also, as Helluva Boss episodes jump in complexity/quality, the time between episodes expands. Being able to be entirely flexible on TIME allows you to be much more flexible on money. Projects can chose two of Time, Quality, and Cost. Ignoring time allows her to focus on cost and quality.
If they put Sabersin in the actual season finally as a joke it would be hilarious.
Don't forget they have friggin' Alex Brightman voicing a side character.
I also think it's worth emphasizing how many production/stream highlight videos are uploaded in between the actual animations. It keeps numbers up while keeping the fanbase in the loop and active at the same time.

Also as a footnote, HB is one of the only pieces of content online that I don't mind at all how long they take with it. I trust the team and I know they'll always produce gold, so if the finale takes a bit longer, it'll be that much better.
If you want something with a different change of pace from the fast pace that is Helluva Boss, but high quality characters, lore, and animation, look up No Evil by Betsy Lee here on TH-cam. Raven Brought the Fire is one of my favorite animations on TH-cam.

One thing that I think the show handles super well is it’s crude humor. Like, I get that it’s kind of become a staple of adult animation (for better or for worse), but for the most part, Helluva makes it work in it’s world.
For example, during the DHORKS episode, blitzo pulls out a massive rocket launcher with “MY DICK” painted on the side, that shoots a middle with an similarly crass name. At first glance, this is just another bit of crude humor, but if you are familiar with the show and the characters, suddenly it makes sense. Like, of course Blitzo would have such a massively absurd rocket launcher in his bag of gear, and of course he named it something incredibly childish. The characters swear a lot because (to loosely quote one episode) “it’s hell…. Nobody cares” I could go on. Anyhow, glad you finally got around to covering this show, it was really interesting to hear your thoughts on it!

As a hobbyist animator on youtube, it’s annoying when something just. Takes longer to finish, watching the days stack up between videos is anxiety inducing but also motivating. What’s more motivating though are the few people that do comment, follow my dumb hobby and try to pick apart my vague story. Animation on yt is hard to gain traction without luck but rewarding seeing yourself grow slowly and building up an interactive community.

I think the reason for the voice change of Millie was Erica who voices loona had to fill in until they found her permanent voice actress I don’t think there’s that much behind it
Just FYI a large portion of kids awaiting adoption are either teens or family groups, so hope the series inspires some people to consider older adoption... though not for assassin training.
I mean, canonically hellhounds would be typically adopted in Hell at an older age just to be used as body guards, etc, as they're the lowest class in Hell I think

I'm honestly planning on eventually adopting teens. I can't do babies. I learned this with my friend's daughter. The noise and mess are too much. Also I don't want to have biological kids since I can't put my mental health issues on a brand new human being.

Man I remember the Zoophobia webcomic. In hindsight, it's probably riddled with tons of writing flaws, tone inconsistencies, and dated ideas, but comparing that to Helluva Boss, the storytelling has come a long way with the help of all the creative minds she assembled. It is very awe-spiring to think about.

I can't believe Saber really got his hands on the unaired season 8 part 2 episode! I was shocked to see how much development the characters went through. Especially Saber-Sin. He's 100% everybody's favorite character already.

This channel has taught me that no matter how talented a team is, it can go horribly wrong with poor management skills. Vivizie and her team must have learned/ gained some serious management skills to thrive on this tumultuous platform. They deserve all the praise and money. After watching this I’m going back and rewatch the entire series the fact that I can watch this on TH-cam and get more joy and satisfaction out of independent animated shows than the big streaming giants tells you how much professional animation and Hollywood has really gone downhill

When I first saw the pilots for Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss I was scratching my head as to why I was able to watch it for free. It's just so high quality for a free TH-cam video! It felt illegal.

Honestly, Helluva boss is so valuable to TH-cam, they should absolutely openly support the animation series. It's literally turning their platform into Netflix worthy rival.

Imagine the greenlighting process Vivzie and her team would have had to do had they gone for a traditional pitch and production route. I don't think any streaming or broadcast platform would have ever greenlit either this or Hazbin hotel -- and they knew that. Why waste the time trying to convince companies to give you a budget for something they would never air because it has "too many unknown names attached" or something. (Seriously the easiest way to get an animated show greenlit is if you're a popular comedian pitching it -- which is also what causes a lot of shows to be terrible as well.) Instead, skip it all, go straight to crowdsource funding and TH-cam and prove that a greenlight review was never needed to begin with.

Not too outrageous actually, as long as someone on the creative team sees this and finds that funny. It isn't that crazy for it to end up in an episode. They break the fourth wall, or include little tid bits a lot to address non canonical information.
okay, SO, i went and watched Helluva Boss because i saw you made this video last month. i have watched through it four times and seen several full watch throughs of reaction videos. then i remembered i watched it so that i could watch this episode. suffice to say i thoroughly enjoy this show and can't wait for the season premier on the 30th.
The TH-cam algorithm actually changed in 2016 and brought back some incentive for animation in two parts. The first was creating several weights, one of which was total percentage watch time which means that if you watch something several times, which happens more often with animation, the video can get a >100% watch time. The second is personalized recommendations based on internal automated interest topics which is what led to lots of people with similar interests getting pushed the same video before they eased up on the recommendation system. I mean, they're still constantly tweaking the system, but all in all, it's definitely gotten better than when they first implemented total watch time and absolutely screwed over animators back in 2012.
