03 Mach vs 01 Cobra

- Cobra does have many more mods but has a very mellow tune on it at the moment,maybe 17 timing due to stock injectors and maf,only makes 360rw,my Mach should be around 350rw so it's a pretty even race,Cobra also missed 4th 😔..This Cobra will make over 400-420rwhp when retuned,stay tuned for those videos..

The C head swap just keeps looking better and better the more videos i watch on this 01
C heads, even the early 99/01 heads are really good but the revised 03+ head is superior and easy to find in Lincoln Aviators
@@madmodi would rather get 01 cobra heads, much much cheaper, you can find them for around 300$$$ compared to 03/04 and even 05 aviator heads are around 1200+$$$$$…get 01 cobra heads, have a reputable shop do a port job on them and do a 9 thread spark plug inserts and you’re golden making much better power with worked heads that would cost you the same as getting stock 03/04-05 c-heads
@@petrolhead8851 I have been able to source 03-05 aviator motors for years and do so regularly for customer cars. Ive got a few sets from my local junkyard that thy sell for 150+ a core charge, or $260+ core for a complete gas engine so no more pricey than a 99+ intech 32v honestly.
I managed to pay $400 to buy a whole running aviator suv with a bad trans so you can definetly find good deals if you hunt around.
Your milage may vary but typically youd never be able to find a genuine cobra motor in a junkyard. 99+ continental heads are the same casting but lack the cobra intake cams and dont have a good intake manifold so theres benefits to running the later stuff. The 04+ Aviator heads already have the 8+ spark threads and coolant revisions, not to mention they outflow the 99/01 casting on both the intake and exhaust side with no work. Theres no better cyl head for 90% of street driven combos, especially for the cost.

yes I've been wanting to see this...i love both cars just recently bought an 03 mach 1 and is basically the same as the 01 cobra build wise about to swap a t56 in it

Do not do procharger. Do an eaton swap and maybe port it. Eatons are only a few hundred bucks on some forums and you can get more power out of them.

@@mrreneboyshaker hoods are ugly asf lol, and who says Mach 1s all day when their literally the lower line of the cobras, no thanks ill keep my 60k cobra keep those slow ass Mach 1s, and also why does everyone copy the look of the terminator if the Mach 1 is so good? Their ugly period.
There’s literally channels and videos dedicated just to the terminator….its a legend. Nobody ever talks or cares about these Mach 1s lol everybody just cares if its a terminator or not get out of here with that shit, when I was in the market for a car and chose this, a Mach 1 would’ve never crossed my mind no one cares about them

both were tuned on 93?
Both cars are great , but the Mach 1 is slightly quicker due to having 3:55 gears and about 80lbs less for not having IRS
Both these cars had 430 gears and weighed the 60lbs difference when scaled

After the yellow cobra got a real tune he would drag my Mach 1 a few cars

The Mach just makes more power from what I've seen. Some of that might be from the solid axle not soaking up as much power as the irs. I've seen Machs doing over 280 wheel when 01 cobras do like 265-275 from what I've seen it's close but be Mach was Def underrated on paper it has less power but it doesn't actually.
Body is lighter, Mach 1 engines were aluminum and could dispare heat faster than the terminator iron block engine. Better platform to work on too.
The only way the cobra is going to get 400 + to the wheels is with nitrous or a boosted application.
A month after this race he installed a Sullivan intake setup and made 401rwhp ALL MOTOR..keep quiet unless you know what your talking about..

@@tigerfan1382 Sullivan is a single plane carb style intake. Go with an FR500 intake with MSD 6-Mod or Holley Dominator that allows you to rev the engine over 7000 rpm
@@BC08 fr500 intake is crazy expensive. Badass intake but not practical anymore.
@@midnight347 Demand isn’t that high the FR500 anymore. I’ve seen them selling anywhere from $1100-1900.
The cobra either isnt real or switched his back bumper, because thats a gt rear bumper not a cobra bumper
