When he says "ENOUGH" I keep thinking YA FRICKIN FRICKS WHEN WILL YOU LEARN WHEN WILL YOU LEARN THAT YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES?! moritz kind of sounds like a duck :p lol
While I doubt we r speaking of the same production, last year I saw a version in the round at small 200 seat theatre, and let me just say, this show was built for it. It makes everything so much more natural, and so much more disturbing. You could cut the tension with a knife.
I've seen several versions of this play, the young man who played Moritz ( Blake Bashoff) was better than the OB version. The emotion he put out was so real, I actually cried, which after seeing this play done so many ways, is hard to get me to do. I hope, he is pursuing this career & pray he'll make it on broadway with his pure talent one day, if he hasn't already. :)
I thought they both brought a lot to the part. After seeing the documentary recently, I have grown such a deep love for John’s performance. Have to say that this guy is still pretty good.

Before this pandemic, I watched a version in the round. This seems so distant and unreal compared. But still the light I love this

2 years old... "pandemic"... can't believe this is still happening. What a depressing comment.
THIS ILSE IS SO AMAZING
Steffi D is pretty awesome. I was lucky enough to see her in Cleveland twice during this tour.

He did eventually make it to Broadway, as Moritz! He came on after John Gallagher Jr. left the show.
He's actually a private chef now and lives in a farm with his husband.

That haircut did not age well
its not a haircut its the character. it starts out normal, and progressively gets taller and messier until he kills himself right after this song.
