  • Here's my 1999 Suzuki Every Join Turbo Kei Van with 4wd and ATV mud tires that I use in place of a UTV to drive my off road trails with the family. Plenty of room for the family and cargo in the back! All in the comfort of an enclosed cab with heat and AC. It's a 5 speed manual and right hand drive, imported straight from Japan (thanks to dougstrucks.com). These vans are light weight, geared low, narrow yet roomy inside and thus perfect for an traversing "regular" off road trails for hunting, fishing, camping, jobsite or just enjoying nature.

    Sweet van man! I got my mini truck from Doug as well, great guy! I'd love to get a van like this at some point. I know he doesn't get too many of them, but I'd want to get one like yours for sure!

    Great review! in Ukraine we have few Everys imported from Europe with left hand drive but mostly 2wd. Have you ever thought about lifting the suspension a bit?

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi, yes it seems a 2in lift is common and the halfshafts can handle it. i get by ok as is though.

    do you reckon it would be pushing it taking it on the beach? these little vans are so cool hahah

      @NaterTater  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont see any issue on the beach other than salt water is never good for metal.

    I’m going to assume the orange triangle is indicated for farmer use.
    With the engine being underneath the driver side and also the passenger seat how bad are the fumes. Example burning engine oil

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, triangle for legal farm use occasionally on backroads. Fumes no worse than front engine vehicle, in fact probably better since fumes go rearward.

    What happened to the chevy spark? This is a cool van! Can we see it in action?

      Spark got sold! Turns out a 3 yr old vehicle with 600 miles in today's used car market has appreciated. 👍more van videos will be coming!

    Being not mechanically inclined myself, if something went wrong with this, what would be my options to get it fixed?

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not many but the guy I bought it from has a local (SE Michigan) contact that works on them. Parts are available for reasonable prices.

      @andrewsmith9980 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      regular things from spark plugs to oil changes can be done at any mechanic
      Independent mechanics are more likely to work with you.

      Polaris and suszki are related. Supposedly you can get parts through the Polaris dealers.

    Do you know if the 4WD is automatic for automatic 1996 Suzuki Carry Van ? I don’t see a button for 4WD and I ordered mine from Japan.

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This van has the 4wd button on the side of the shift lever. My Daihatsu truck has a paddle switch on the dash to engage 4wd. Not sure about your van.
