This might get buried, but I want to share some information about romance scammers. In addition to accessing bank accounts and pulling money, there is also a good chance that the money being sent (or requested to be sent elsewhere) is dirty money and being laundered. The victim, EVEN IF THEY DONT KNOW IT, is legally liable for money laundering.

I don’t comment often cause I’m a Spotify listener and this year on my Spotify wrapped i was in your 0.1% of fans and I have 83,268 minutes of listening to you this year ❤️
Story #2: I had a neighbor across the hall who would drink three 6-packs a day! You could stand next to him (but not too close) and he literally reeked of beer. His daughter once came over to help him clean up and she toted three large garbage bags of empty cans out to her car. If memory serves me correctly he died not long after.
Yo, the comment story at the end. Something similar happened to me. I was late to work and had changed in the parking lot.(nothing indecent, my work pants over my basketball shorts and so on) but my wallet had fallen out. I had not known about it for like 2 days since I use my phone to pay most days. But I had a odd charge on my bank. So I flagged it. But as I told the bank to shut it down my account once I seen that my wallet was missing. Just right before, the person had deposited a 2000 dollar check, little had they known that account was emptied a week prior for rent, which I overdrafted. So without knowing, a had a check for 980ish dollars come to my house. Confused. I went to the bank, scared it would get me in trouble. The clerk looked into it and gave it the green light. Free money I assume, with my debt paid....and oddly enough, my credit score had gone up nearly 10 points
Call me stupid, but how exactly does putting 2-10k into someone's account end up being beneficial for the scammer? Is it some sort of confidence thing? Like, now that we've established that I (scammer) can put money in the (victim's) account, let me take out money? There's no reason that should work... otherwise any idiot could give Gates/Bezos/Musk/Luthor (insert the billionaire of your choice) some money and then withdraw a billion... or something.
@mariposa9506 well if he does, it's on him. I explained the situation as I understood it at the time. Which was a 900 dollar check randomly in my mail. And he took it in the back, talked to a manager and said it was cool.
I don't understand how you could cheat on your partner. You're supposed to be the best of friends. Story One; I get Bob was cheated on, but he distributed illegal revenge porn, and he is just a disgusting person. In my book, distributing revenge porn is far worse than cheating. Doing either is honestly the lowest of the low. Story Two; Isn't having a relationship with an inmate/former inmate as a cop like SUPER illegal???? I'm aware it isn't now. But still, dating someone who was an inmate at your prison only a short while after they get out seems wrong to me. Chris is still an asshole though. Story Three; I don't really have much to say. It's a standard cheating revenge story. NEVERMIND! She harassed his family and roommates and tried to get them DEPORTED because HE insulted her after the first date.
story 2: it’s not actually illegal. it’s dependent on which state and which jail the inmate is housed in. the one i worked at said you can’t talk to or attempt to have a relationship with an inmate till they’ve been out for like 3 months or something idk. it’s quite odd. but you can be fired if you’re having a relationship with an inmate and removed from working a specific floor if your current partner becomes an inmate
Had the exact same thought on Story 1. Cheating is one of the worst non-illegal things you can do to a person but revenge porn very definitely crosses over to illegal
I don't think Bob was in the right state of mind... being drunk and all not an excuse for him, he should have met a divorce lawyer showed them everything and go to court

1:47 I was so onboard until this. I LOVE when cheaters get exposed because screw you for messing with people. However... This reveal is distasteful. And actually illegal. The guy had the upper hand but once he shared certain screenshots, depending on the content, he basically opened himself up to a lawsuit for 'Revenge P*rn'. Especially as he added individual comments too. Big ooft if the ex-wife or her lover ever figure it out OR if the people sent the link want to take it further for 'distress' it may have caused them. Expose cheaters, yes. Get your own back in some way, sure. But don't let them further ruin your life than they already have when you're plotting your revenge.
Revenge porn laws didn't exist at the time of this story, therefore meaning that there was no crime committed. Regardless, cheaters shouldn't have the benefit of protection under those laws. Cheaters should be branded, marked, and publicly shamed for their inability to display common decency. They shouldn't have any right to decency, when they clearly lack decency themselves.
Those laws didn't exist in the time before smart phones, bud. If there's no law standing, there's no crime committed. Beyond that, cheaters don't deserve the protection of law. They deserve public shame and ridicule.
@@SkunkApe407this is not a good thought process! everyone should have protection of law, because when they dont, people will exploit that to abuse people. imagine if someone wanted to post revenge porn of somebody else but first framed them as a cheater so that it would suddenly be okay. that wouldnt be good! the same thing happens with prisons and voting. since people in prison arent allowed to vote, you have people getting imprisoned to stop them from voting
Uh, that first story, isn't that massively illegal under revenge "passionate hugging videos" laws? Maybe this was before those laws were established. I'm all for outing cheaters but yeesh. 😬
It seems like it was before those laws existed, based on the things OP said. Also, it may have been a factor in why those laws exist now, along with several hundreds/thousands of other instances.
Nah the 3rd story. You’re beautiful just the way u are. There’s no such thing as “if you lost weight, you’d be a 10”. Just means you’re a 10 in my book
I would like to think that someone was watching the last woman's bank account and waited for money to be put in, THEN closed the account knowing what would happen. XD
That generous soul would be donating the banks money. Not sure why they would do that. The friend will need to repay that or face potential legal consequences.
@@Wendy_O._Koopa If the banks had so much hassle over this one account. they might have just closed it JUST to get rid of the headache, didn't he say, they wouldn't refund her anymore? and maybe some kind soul was just in the right place at the right time when the money came in?
@@mariposa9506 the way it was worded, sounds like they were using the lady as a money mule. that money in the bank would have been from scams (as scammer will use victims of scams, to launder money) so if the money was taken from a lagit account, it's tough, it's gone. it was a real transaction. and the account is no longer on their system, making it not their problem. he scammer would have to go after the woman personally, and there is no way they are gonna get police involved. and the chances of them physically going after the money are also very tiny... doesnt mean they wont harass her over the phone and she will eventually crack, cos she's already a scammer victim. but we can hope she takes the cash and runs... it's probably less than she's lost.
It might have been before the laws were strengthened, but yeah that's what I was thinking. The hacking and revenge porn is absolutely illegal now, and will get you jail time, not just a lawsuit.
Bet you the bank eventually comes after the woman for the $8k in fraudulent funds... Or the check that cashed eventually gets returned for NSF or a stop payment.
For that third story when OP said "people say I'd be a 10 if I lost 30 lbs" I am flabbergasted, she's a 10 no questions asked the fuck 😂 those motherfuckers just bitter lol
Scammers scamming a single mother, but for some reason, they are sending her money and she willingly giving them her ban info expecting to find an absolute simp who wouldnt be a scammer? They each worth each other.
They are sending her worthless deposits, she gives them some back, and then the deposit charges back when it bounces so that's why she's in overdraft. Banks see so many people who get suckered in to what should be obvious.
@@mariposa9506 What i mean, that your bank details isnt a public information(if they are in usa, then what im going to say next, totally doesnt make any sense). So the fact that she is giving her bank details to random people shows me gold diggin tendencies, like why she would even expect some dude she just met to give her money.
The concept of revenge porn is relatively new. Within the last 10 years, actually. Prior to the advent of smart phones, there were no such laws. Disregarding that, she was sleeping with another man in Bob's house. If she is brazen enough to disrespect Bob that way, she doesn't deserve the benefit of decency. I say all cheaters should be similarly shamed in public and ridiculed for lacking morals. Revenge porn laws should be reserved for the protection of those who were innocent of wrongdoing. Cheaters, on the other hand, should be branded and marked as untrustworthy.
i think its insane that this skunk ape guy thinks it’s appropriate to “brand and mark” another human being like at all. to the point where hes commented it multiple times. revenge porn is sexual abuse. the text message screenshots were enough to prove her guilt. no one is a good person here but sexual abuse is never an appropriate response or revenge to anything
2:35 you might think you'll do reputable damage but it's been up for too long and you took too long to tell him to remove it so everyone now knows of it in the family and friends. The damage is done. And I don't think he cares about the marriage at this point
The op in the last story is woefully unknowledgeable about scams. Their friend didn't walk away with the scammers money their friend defrauded a bank, for which they may have legal consequences or at the very least destroying their credit rating.
Story #2: I gotta say, not a fan of the early story escalation. The going from a DUI to getting jumped by the feds and having to sell out your family is kinda rough. I do understand an alcoholic falling off the wagon after something like that. Sympathy goes away when finding out he is a mean drunk, but before that, I am just like, god damn, that is a tough situation.
@@JessidafennecfoxNot even. 12 beers in a day is hardly enough to even maintain a buzz. You can drink a beer and wait an hour, and be legal to drive. If dude woke up at 8 am, started drinking at 10am, and stayed up drinking until 10pm, that would only equal one beer per hour. Depending on his body mass, and how much and often he eats, he might not even get a buzz at that rate. I've personally been on fishing trips where I have, by myself, drank 20 beers, in a 12 hour period, and barely felt anything. Alcohol actually metabolizes fairly quickly, and staying fed and hydrates actually increases the speed at which your body can process it.

I love the creative writing projects like story one. The use of Bob as the proxy no doubt came after they either realized that the website in the story would be wildly illegal, but they didn't want to throw away the story.

Bob and his ex-wife are both terrible people. Wow. And OP is... proud of what Bob did? Why? Bob committed whole-ass _crimes_ in his pursuit of revenge, that's not anything to celebrate.

Would have been a worthless deposit the fraudster would gave tried to get back. It will bounce. That clerk will be in trouble.
@mariposa9506 well if he does, it's on him. I explained the situation as I understood it at the time. Which was a 900 dollar check randomly in my mail. And he took it in the back, talked to a manager and said it was cool.
Story 2 makes me think, what did she sees on him?
1st story. Exactly on revenge porn. Most states if not all now has laws and in mine it is a felony.
story 2: it’s not actually illegal. it’s dependent on which state and which jail the inmate is housed in. the one i worked at said you can’t talk to or attempt to have a relationship with an inmate till they’ve been out for like 3 months or something idk. it’s quite odd. but you can be fired if you’re having a relationship with an inmate and removed from working a specific floor if your current partner becomes an inmate
@@bloodhunter3186 idk.... After distributing the revenge porn, he proceeded to become quote 'a terrible person' and I don't want to know what an OP who would support/take part in revenge porn considers a terrible person.

I love when scammers lose!!
How many times can you fall for the same scam? 😭😭
I havnt even started this video yet. But damn its ironic that this is the subject today of all days. Needed this today. Maybe ill get ideas.
Did you get cheated on? If so, I'm sorry, and I hope the cheater gets what they deserve. I've been in those situations before, and it sucks
Anyone that rates themselves a 10/10 is toxic
Nah, sometimes they just have self confidence. It isn't toxic to look good and know it. OP sounds like an absolute catch, to be honest.
The guy from the first story is lucky he didn’t wind up in jail. Revenge porn is illegal.
Yeeeeeah, that guy definitely had issues. His wife was definitely a total pos, but that doesn't make what he did justifiable.
XD
It's... possible? But if the bank is closing her account, what do _they_ get out of it?

Bob was right to be angry, but I still can't condone revenge p*rn.

Story 1: Bob would have been arrested if she pursued charges, that is highly illegal for a number of reasons.
12 whole beers in one day?
Thor level drunk 🥴?
Story 1: It's funny how rSlash always takes time to trash-talk men when they're the ones cheating on women and blaming them for whatever the women do after that, but conveniently doesn't hold Bob's wife responsible for turning him into a horrible human being.
