    Once again, it's time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the wonders of what we can't see with our own eyes!

    Nice, its like you always read this in biology books with practically no illustrations, or wikipedia pages with one or two photos, here you see it with your own eyes. Its so refreshing

    Lovely explanation, and what an amazing way to see muscle movement. Your videos have a beautiful quality, I love seeing that little veliger and the ostracods. I can’t wait to try out this technique too sometime!

    This is a great video! Your idea to use polarized light to reveal hidden features of microscopic creatures. Thanks and BRAVO!

    Amazing! great video thank you.
    I have not seen polarized light microscopy of living/moving creatures before.
    Very interesting to see the muscle in action in these tiny things.
    Now I want a microscope :)
    You have asked what "microscopy related material" we would like :-
    have you made a video of how you modified your 'scope to do this ?
    I guess that one piece of polarizing film /sheet, would go between the light source and the slide (in the filter holder perhaps), but where to put the second analyser film ??

      Thank you for your most helpful (and quick !) reply with the link.
      I am new to your channel and site, which I found when I was looking at the bewildering number of Swift (and Amscope) microscope variations that are available. That brought me to your review of the Swift SW350 (and thence here) which I think may be similar in construction (and separation) to that in your linked video being modified to take the polarizers.

    Wow. Can I ask, how are you getting these background colours? Is it some kind of coloured darkfield filter?

    • @mymicroscopicworld
      @mymicroscopicworld  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The colored background comes “automatically” when using polarized light if you look at the samples in a Petri dish, or on other kinds of hard transparent plastic.

    Which microscope would you recommend, swift SW380t or Amscope b120c, Im willing to drop around 250 pounds for a decent beginners microscope that is camera compatible, please tell me if you recommend any other decent microscopes around that price range
