This is a detailed installation guide for fitting the OSRAM LEDriving XENARC headlamp conversion kit for Mk6 Golf.
This a long video because it's pretty much filmed in real time. We have performed this work before so know what goes where. For your first time you should allow 1-2 hours.
Should also be useful for those looking for a guide on how to remove the front bumper on Mk6 Golf.
UK recommended retail price is £749.99, this is approximately the price of one xenon headlamp from VW.

Looking great!! One small cosmetic tip:
I connected the 12V LED cables in the fusebox next to the main battery (at the right) much prettier /better in my opinion. Dont know why Osram tells you to connect it to the main battery. Its an ugly place if you ask me.

Going to whack some of these on at the weekend. Hope they are worth the insane cost! I would try the lights to make sure they're working before putting everything back on.

Use hellermann HG-PP13 for your wiring loom, will look much better and better protected.

Great guide! does the low beam need any height adjustment after install to meet MOT regs? Also, can you still adjust the height from inside the car? Thanks Andrew.

Hi Tom,
Good point, yes they do need adjusting to meet MOT regs. That's also a good question about the leveling function. I would assume that the OSRAM lamps also have the motors inside them as it would be bad if the driver couldn't lower them when their vehicle was heavily laden as is the purpose for the leveling function.

I purchased the uk rhd edition, i have a bulb light on my dash and message on my mfd that says to check right turn signal, the lights however function fine. If i delete the error code it reappears on every startup, did u get this and any idea how to solve?

Hi Hassan, there are a few on Ebay. This is a German seller but selling right-hand drive version for us in the UK. I am sure there are left hand drive available too if you have a search :)

How bright are these at night please? I’m worried by they’re being under 2000 lumens and not having a halogen full beam to supliment them.

Just code it out to not check for that specific bulb on startup

The dynamic indicators are much to fast and don't look like Audi scrolling ones.

Did you notice any problem with these headlights? mine are not sturdy on the road specially at night. the lights jitters on a bumpy road at night. check my videos!
