I interpret it as her realizing that nothing she ever did had any real importance. And thus, her life never had any meaning, as MJ said. And thus, by saying that "Nothing important happened today.", Vanna is acknowledging that her entire life has been worthless, and that she had thoughtlessly squandered the gift of life that Spider-Man had fought so hard for, even when Vanna was a total stranger to him. Essentially, I see it as her finally understanding that not only did her life never amount to anything, but she had wasted whatever potential she may have had to do something truly great by wallowing in her own delusion that Spider-Man was stalking her. And she failed to realize the truth until it was far, far too late. And that realization has left her feeling....empty. I wouldn't have been surprised if the end of this comic was shown in another panel of Vanna's grave, possibly indicating that the realization had stripped her of her will to live to the point that she may have passed away that very night.

This was a chef's kiss. no "happy ending", no "Love and friendship will always win", just a woman and her decision, that lead... no place. she got those few 15 minutes of fame with JJ, but that story probably fell dead in the water by dinner time.
Whew oof, now that one was dark
Ok, but seriously though, they were all coincidences, but there were so many that it makes sense as to why she would think something is suspicious 💀
There were two, first when she was a teen, and the next when she was a grown adult. Her paranoia made it seem like a lot, but the truth is, with how much Spider-Man’s enemies move when they fight, and the varied thematic interests of his villains, it’s likely a ton of people encountered him once or twice. She just made a big deal about it.
@@JacksonVoet4
@@microcelltechnicalassistence Spider-Man’a whole thing is protecting civilians, and this lady doesn’t seem the smartest, so she probably just wandered into places where supervillains were about to strike.
@@JacksonVoet Sandman and rhino, so i doubt that, but It Is a coincidence
@@microcelltechnicalassistence Oh, fair enough. Sometimes things are just coincidences.
Some Spiderman villians have a habit of messing with family. Rhino nearly got killed over it.
If this isn't a narcissist i don't know what is
A great commentary on karens.
Kingpen having a restraining order on all active police in the city: 😉
Then she woke up 😆
Oh my god I own this one LMAO
Based MJ
Can a Judge even legally give a restraining order to someone who is not aware of the issue or even the person seeking the order? I mean, Spidy knew nothing about this and she couldn't prove he knew who she was. Would that stick in a courtroom?
I am pretty sure the judge only gave it to the woman just so she can leave and seek help. Like he even doesn’t think issuing a restraining order on a superhero vigilante would do anything
@@BigK13372 Yeah, he straight up said that getting a restraining order against Spider-Man is about as useful as one against martians.
There people like this.
This girl is batshit crazy
Huh, I wonder what the inspiration was behind this story.
Was it supposed to be one of those stories to advise a reader to do something with their life? Maybe display how toxic thinking can affect your life?
Never thought we'd get a comic about the women in this generation, but of cpurse it had to be spiderman
I feel like she wrote "nothing important" as a way of agreeing with narry jain. She wasnt important and the man they conversed about who was very important was now dead. So nothing of importance happenend that day
She would get along with JJJ
Well as shown in the video JJJ actually praised her for this
If I remember right, "Nothing important happened today" is also what King George wrote in his diary on July 4, 1776.
The only thing that would have made this worse is if MJ said something like: You wanna know why nobody ever commented on any of your little blogs, aside from the obvious fact that almost nobody read them? It was because one of two things happened when they read it, they either realized that you were just a delusional fool or were so appalled by your idiocy that they thought that you weren't worth the effort of correcting.
Karen mind set
POV: you’re a young Karen in a super world
The person who wrote this has been watching too much anime.
This is the future of all Karens!
Vanna : you were the one looking under my skirt back in high-school you perverted menece !
Spider - man : I wasn't looking under your skirt I getting changed because vulture turned up .
Vanna : you mean the vulture you hired so you could spy on me !
Spider-man : what reason would I have to spy on you .
Vanna : you tell me !
Spider-man : ... you know your not a good person , I mean heck you just sat and watched as flash thompson bullied me .
Vanna : hey ! I'm a g- wait flash thompson ? ( flashes back , pees a little )
( Explosion happens )
Spider-man : don't tell anyone . ( shoots web and swings away )
Vanna : ( falls to her knees ) peter parker ....
Hurts. But still karma.
As soon as you finished the story I knew it had to be Peter David that wrote it. I was right.
Okay i got it. I think it's her acting like this and believing her lies because she has nothing eventful or meaningful going on in her life. That's why she missed the attention she believed Spiderman gave her.
i don't believe spider man would ever follow that order
Yeah like what are they going to do, arrest him?
Police been trying to do that for years with his growing vigilante activities. Not like they would suddenly take him in the moments he is within radius of some random woman
By the time scale and counting this and a few times merging peter stayed Spider-Man while raising may as spider-girl/woman miles would be the second Spider-Man and was off some wherre
Is this story in the 616 universe please tell me it is and was i the only one who thought old MJ looks like aunt May
Possibly the Ultimate Universe since they said that Spider-Man was killed, but could be another alternate universe.
Ok one it can't be the ultimate universe Mj was a old lady and yes it could be a different universe
Although I think she overreacted I do understand her point of view. The first time that she meets Spider-Man is when he comes out from under the school bleachers and then the next time she meets him is when he crashes into the girls bathroom and then they meet at various times in her life. She didn’t know Spider-Man went to her school and with the size of New York it’s weird that they ran into each other so much after high school.
This is Shutter Island comic edition.
Ofc the Karen thinks the world resolves around her
What’s that Latin saying on the papers at 2:57?
she like J J a disillusioned fool
At least Jameson actually does occasionally say something nice about Spider-Man. Heck, his whole grudge against masked vigilantism is due to how his wife died.
At least there are iterations of JJJ that help out Spidey
She Doesn’t want Attention?, but starts a Blog and Got Help from The Daily Bugle, to get her More Attention? No Wonder She Grew Up with No Children.
eeeeeeeeeSH this was dark!
Shit like this is why I hate the civilians of the marvel universe. Like god dam they're so asinine and aggravating. Maybe Dr. Doom was onto something.
The definition of a side character having an ego
Why cabt they bring Geen Stacy back or the other timeline Gwen where Peter died saving her when his neck hit the cement...n later on Harry killed his Dad n blamed on Gwen
Goddamn bruh, I get it was stupid putting a restraining order on fuckin’ spider man but MJ didn’t need to do all that. Especially when the woman was just minding her own business 40 YEARS into the future in this comic. Just seems like over kill for just a restraining order for stupid reasons.
its just a comic its just a comic its just a comic she isnt real she isnt real she isnt real
She's a narcissist
She is a Karen. He does not even know she exists. Crazy. Full of herself.
Her and Paul are the worst non superhero or super villain people in marvel

I think Peter David and Mike Wieringo made Vanna Smith is worst Characters the comic idea Spider-Man Vol 1 5 but she noting if people see this comic today controversial the people who are have trouble should ask for help heal wound stop traumas
