Proxima did a great job on this one the PT5000 movement nicely done and the six o'clock date 👍

It needs a unicorn on the crown and clasp! It kind of reminds me of a Black Bay 36/39/41 but without the snowflake hands. (I'm not saying it is a copy or a homage, it is clearly its own thing.)

@@WatchtheTime Sorry, it was just a joke. As they move away from the unicorn branding, they do need to develop a new logo for their watches so they don't look so sterile.
Oh sorry man 😂 you wouldn’t believe how much stick I’ve had for not liking that logo. You’re bang on though, they definitely need a logo but as a brand generally, they are doing some great stuff 👍👍
I would want it on the dial but agree with the crown and clasp....it's that bit inner child that we all have that would make me smile and chuckle a wee bit....🏴⌚🏴⌚

I've really been enjoying their diver version (PX1697). I didn't think the dial layout would look good on a GADA-style case like this, but it really works. Great review!

Hi I have the diver and one thing I love that You didn't pick up on is the enamelled face. It's far better than plain paint. An excellent watch. The customer service is fantastic also!

That's a very nice looking watch Simon. Overall it's a good quality piece for the price. 👍👍 Btw I was able to open one of these casebacks using the rubber ball tool. Not saying it'll work for everyone, I suppose it depends on how tight it is.

This is a stunner and I have to agree with everything you've said....someone also mentioned putting the unicorn on the crown and clasp, that would look good, it would a detail that makes you smile and chuckle a wee bit, we need more of that for sure....Proxima has ticked almost all the boxes here for me, outstanding....this particular style of case is appealing to me more than any other at the moment....I'd like to add a recommendation, at this price and quality that they are aiming for they should add some sort of quick adjustment system to there clasps, get ahead of the curve as I believe it will be standard within the next year or two....we expect sapphire and are a little shocked when we don't get, it'll be the same with clasps....🏴⌚🏴⌚
I hear you bro but I really can’t bet on board with a unicorn, just not feeling it tbh but they definitely need to settle on a logo, no doubt. Given how good Proxima are, I don’t think an ‘easy adjust’ claps is very far away tbh. Thanks for watching my man 👍👍

I have their diver watch, and I love it. The finishing, the dimensions (thickness of 11,5mm double domed crystal included with 200m of water resistant!), the proportions, are great. It really is a fantastic watch!
This one has the same bracelet and the same dial. And I guess that's as well made as the diver one. It's a very good looking watch as well.
I would love a signed crown. About the clasp, it doesn't bother me.

It's a very impressive watch for the money. I wouldn't mind seeing the Unicorn logo on the crown. I believe the Proxima sister brand is called "Omnion" but there's a bit of a typographical fail in their logo.

Great video as usual mate. I really like the finishing on this Proxima. And I always love when you get the dilemma of a watch having a great bracelet, but still is a strap monster - it looks great with the bracelet because it's really good, but you still want to try on some nice leather straps. Luxury problems, I know lol. And yes, the date location at six o'clock almost always looks great, and I wish more watch brands would use that design element.

Thanks for doing this review. I've got the dive watch and I'm really happy with it but this one is now officially on my radar. This would/will be a great every day watch. Proxima watches are very comfortable as well as well made. I'll try to wait until the 11/11 sale but my will power may not be up to the challenge.
I still own this watch and am immensely happy with it. I wish you all the best in trying to wait for the sale, I know my will power often doesn’t hold out 👍👍

Uh Huh - I'd give that white-on-white dial, furniture & lume a 12/10 score .. but she's a bit pricey with that PT5000 movement eh - Is it a bit stiff to wind at all?
It’s a beauty mate and no, it’s not cheap but I honestly think it’s worth every penny. The movement doesn’t feel stiff and has about the right level of resistance when you turn the crown. Have you had that particular movement be a problem before??

@@WatchtheTime Update : Proxima stepped up and took care of the issue. Basically paid to have the issue solved. Proxima is the best watch company I've ever dealt with.
