You apologized for the night arrival, but we see so much of your stuff during the day, these night time ops were real fun to watch this time, so thank you :-) and keep it up!
Thank you. We need to get NV cameras so we can show you the night ops. 😁
Agreed, that was a different berthing than usual so nice to see. I don't much like having to come in at night, I prefer to avoid them if I can.
The teamwork and communication is awesome! Captain and crew are to be proud of how they run this ship!
Thank you. It's easy when you're not just co-workers but also great friends. 😎
@@motoryachtloon D'awwwww! Buddies!!
Kudos to Capt Paul .. his presenting skills are slick AF now 👌
Only took me a year... haha thank you 🙏
I have absolutely zero affiliation with yachting .... always loved them. Totally enjoy the presentation and learning about how and why of running a super yacht... Team work is next level .... well done crew
Great video, Steve is killing it! I really love crossing videos, getting to see the BTS of what goes into getting you guys where you need to be for maintenance and for your charter seasons!
If he can get over this jumpy audio nonsense and go back to the smooth conversations, I'll totally be on board. For now, it's borderline unwatchable with the skippy audio. :(
Just a comment to say I appreciate what you do to bring this content to us
That night approach into port Everglades looks great too, nice to see some action in nighttime
Motor Yacht LOON time traveling between Monaco and Florida 😂
and thecrewchef posting her vid of Ft Lauderdale two weeks ago, Loon is really lagging on posting.
Thankyou for all the updated we cant please everyone so just know its appreciated that you guys all do the best you can well done captain and crew🤗
M/Y Loon quickly becoming my favorite TH-cam channel. Hope you all enjoy Monaco this weekend, and have an amazing season in Med!
Thank you ☺️
Much ❤ to all of you on #loon and many thanks for always putting a big 😄 on my face! 🤗
CPT Paul looks like he needs a raise and some R&R.
and a trip tut barbers.
Night arrival is cool, more please!
I enjoyed watching the night time docking it made a nice change, and to see the sky slowly lighten with each shot.
6am arrival means a very early morning for the crew to get everything prepared to dock.
Spoiler alert, saw you in Monaco today. 😃
Ditto. 😆
Great job informing those of us who are not salty how all this works. Feels like we have a taste of life aboard.
Life on a yacht is far more involved than I realized. Good job!
Great content, Capt. Paul. A real pleasure watching a skilled and knowledgeable Capt and crew work.
Great stuff! Thx a million❤
It’s all good guys thanks for the post❤️⚓️
Smashing video as always guys!! 🎉
😊 great job. Steve and Captain Paul
Great video!
Poor Paige! Working on the lower deck while being seasick is no fun at all. I felt her relief when you reached the harbour.
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting - nice done👍🌺👍🌺👍🌺
Nice video, love the Atlantic crossings and seeing loon sailing in the middle of the ocean. Also liked the part where you showed us the engineers and they told us about the fuel samples and what they do during these trips. Really cool to hear from the people that run the engines down there
I cannot wait to see what you and the crew get up to
Great video, Steve! Loved it! 👍
Congratulations on a fine passage! It's amazing how much you folks have to do to make a passage like this happen safely. Kudos to Capt. Paul and the entire crew! You all made it happen. 😁
and in reply to my last comment i never though about wash from a ship i only know about wake turbulence so thank you for the info makes perfect sense to me now.
Another enjoyable video. I'm adding a comment to push the algorithm forward. 😉
Thank you 😊
Fine marina!!!!!
Yes sir big bravo zulu..
You and the crew are some top shelf seaman.
Thank you for the glimpse of the adventures
❤️this channel🇨🇦
👍✅🏝 Nice video, tks Paul & crew!
I am so excited that I am about to purchase the “Wider 160” yacht.
great content !
love it. hope i can do the same as you guys one day
OMG Paul hard to believe she said it was cold early morning in FL. I started laughing.
Watched your video earlier, just watched esysmans video, he highlights M/Y LOON heavily. Just as many of us asked him to on his last video. The only thing he didn't do was say hi to the crew. Still was exciting to see Loon on another channel. If you see him, be sure to say hi and get him on video. He's a good guy as I'm sure you've seen his videos, if not, he's very informative. Stay safe, looking forward to crossing videos.
This is certainly different, coming in early early very early 🌄 morning. But one thing I really like is we see the day to day and night and early morning running of Loon. Of which good team work makes sll the difference. Hope you all managed some R and R whilst in port. 😊
Nice video will be nice to meet the new crew members for the change over to med season
The sea sickness is terrible, nice docking though.😊 Hope the hard working crew get in a couple of nice ones.😊
Bro the Monaco Vid gonna be insane! Looking forward to you catching up with current state of being in Monaco!🙈
Top 👏
Greetings M/Y Loon! Capt Paul, your thorough explanations and walk-throughs of what you are doing, what your vessel is doing, what all of our favourite crew are doing, and why, are the reason we flock to your channel. You are in the arena with Brian Trautman of @SVDELOS in keeping us in the moment. This goes for your positions chiefs as well - everyone has good camera rapport and keeps us up to speed with what is going on. How you all do this at times with guests on board is impressive. And go Steven !!
Thank you for the kind words.
Awesome video as usual guys. How about doing a video regarding medical emergencies and what facility you have aboard in case of one. Keep up the good work girls and boys.
Please stop the rapid mid-sentence cuts. Please! Pretty please!
Agreed. I flat out can’t understand how they think this looks good. I love this channel but I find it so unpleasant to watch with the cuts
They need to let everyone explain everything for a lot longer instead of these quick cuts. Also need to follow up on previous videos. I guarantee unless someone from the ship reads this we will never hear about the fuel samples.
I don't really notice this to be honest. Probably cuts off because the crew member has naturally finished what they wanted to say. Their next words might have been "Erm..yeh...so..". Is that gonna be good in a video?
Noted and changes are being made.
@@motoryachtloonthanks for commenting and being open to constructive feedback!
Vroom, vroom, it’s Captain Paul from the Hairbear bunch
my favorite is the chef (cook) because I was a chef too and she is very nice too
Nina is the best
Does Florida allow drone usage before morning nautical twilight? Lovely time of the day to come into berth, clear and still.
Even a lottery win here in the UK would NOT buy this dinghy or even run it .
Incredible efficient team.
I really wish I had got into the industry, the internet must be a great tool in helping people decide what career to get into.
Great vid and love the teamwork. I do wish we were a bit more up to date though, is that a security thing ?
Great maneuvering at night, know from experience how difficult it is. All those references at different light intensities, drives you mad. Top job. I know you carry a lot of fuel, but do you use fuel additives and / or polish the fuel like we do in the smaller yachts ?
Is it normal for a cruise ship to be under armed escort?
In Port Everglades it is. They maintain clearance around the entire ship until they get a ways out of the jetties and then the Port Pilot exits.
Yes at Port Miami and Port Everglades. I would assume the same for Canaveral as well with The Space Force base being so close to the port.
Excellent video again Thanks Steve and Capt Paul. Nice spot you are docked in Fort Lauderdale near the Hilton. Have a great two weeks before your crossing.
I am jumping ahead a couple weeks right now as I had watched esysman SuperYachts just before this video. You are already in Monaco and you are in esysman Monaco part 2 video already docked up. You actually show up 4 times in his video. Looking from stern your view is well how would I put it Looking a the shitty cubicles and rear view of the stands luckily you've a big screen to watch the race unless you are lucky enough to get out in person to watch race. Still You are privileged to be docked so close to the race. Saw 4 to 5 crew members working cleaning up. Looking forward to your video of this approx time line I figure few weeks maybe month . Okay looking forward to next video.
Thanks, Johnathan; we are working on catching the timeline up a little over the next few weeks.
@motoryachtloon I understand that I do. However, as I know, you read reviews. I thought I would mention this in real time, lol, as I thought it was awesome.
I enjoy the lot. I still miss Blair though
What sort of lightning do you set up for towing the tender?? Or are you even reqd to do so?
40 knots of wind at sea level. i have a plane and that is no landing territory at all. well done captain.
So interesting to watch but please stop the background music when people are talking.
🎉🎉
Thought yall were in Monaco 😂
It would be cool if you tell us how many gallons or litres per hour you burn at cruise. Thanks for sharing.
Great vid.
Hey Paul, when you hit the waypoints, does the autopilot make the course correction, or is it done manually.
The autopilot will do it, but the OOW needs to acknowledge that the waypoint has been reached and that it's safe to turn.
@@motoryachtloon great. Thanks.
Question, does the craft you are pulling behind you affect your fuel usage notably?😊
Not really we do everything we can to reduce its drag. Light fuel, remove unneeded weight, clean the bottom, and trim the engines up. So the HCB kinda just bobs along behind us.
👍 great vudeo but for the crazy audio fluctuations...
FYI, No audio issues at all here, and I'm listening via my hifi, so I usually get a heart attack if the volume shoots up etc :) All the best...
Great video, loved the style and editing, would loved to have known what the outcome of the fuel was, so there is more complete storytelling as it were
More to come in next weeks video
Is there regs as to how far behind the tender can be towed ?
What would you do if someone had an emergency and has to go to hospital during the crossing? Is there an option to do this?
Capt. Paul does the Loon have to check in with Customs with or without guest when you come back to the states?
Oh yes, all the crew went to immigration shortly after arrival to get our passports stamped.
I wish you included all your communication with other vessels once you hit the inlet/harbor
noted, we can do more in the future
👏👏👏👏👌👌👌
Not so sure about Paul's "WOW"-endings, but an otherwise very entertaining episode.
What was the significance of the Coast Guard escorting that vessel? Captain Paul mentioned to not overtake the vessel for fear of getting shot at.
I miss my youth. 😉
Then go back and reclaim it.
Where is a light post on the Tender. I never see it. I have races at night on sail Boats. All running light are on but the tender seems not to have one. Am I wrong on that? a Boat could take it out real quick!
is the sea so choppy I get a bit "Sea sick" when filming from the bridge, especially when zoomed in on the map
Hilton can pay the next drone🙂
for sure!
How the immigration to USA is done? Is is after the docking?
After docking we all piled in an Uber and went to customs and immigration in Port Everglades. Sometimes they’ll do a surprise inspection and be waiting on the dock
Did the engineers hack the video to insert that no-context engine room update?
Rig for red at night
Is capt Paul taking it across the Atlantic or another ferry captain?
Captain Ben is doing the crossing again this year.
What is the device in overhead above helm with the "shovel handle?"
I think you are referring to the gyro compass repeater.
One question, if we see you in a harbour (Monaco) can we say hello 🙋♂️?
Please do! there is usually a crew member at the end of the gangway
1st view. Go me!!!!!
🥳
Wait, they just showed you in Monaco. 🇲🇨.
I think the shorts get loaded faster.
@@mcomeslast No the guy that does Yacht News pointed it out in his Monaco video
@@SeniorSimRacer63 I thought these guys had one, too, but as long as they arrived safe.
Is it normal for a cruise ship to be under armed guard like that when coming in/out of a port?
Yes. Aside from Terrorism, the onboard casinos are holding more cash than your bank.
Yep, so it's just safer to keep out of the way.
@@d-sx560 ahhhhh, that makes sense actually! I just never even thought about it
A Cruise ship were with an armed escort?
Does the Coast Guard really shoot (with real bullets?!) for an improper move in the port? Considering all the eejits running around in boats there must be a lot of shootouts.
First video with Nina cooking in a t-shirt?
I love the AI Nina chef. She looks amazingly lifelike. Also, I want one of those AI croissants.
Unsure if sarcasm, trolling or stupidity. I'll go with trolling for now.
hello team, why this video back on Miami when you are in Monaco, I am 285 miles from you, in FRANCE, I hope to have time to come see you, you are so nice, y like your videos
Hi Duncan, our long-form videos are a few weeks behind. We're hoping to catch up over the next few weeks. We'll be in the SOF for about 2 more weeks before heading down to the Amalfi Coast 😎
@@motoryachtloon hello team, yes I suppose that with the work you have it is not easy to release the videos quickly, I hope to be able to make time to come one day otherwise I will come see you in the Caribbean, hello everyone team and to Nina particularly, the best of chef
Playing How many times can you spot Loon during Monaco F1 tv
lets us know.. send us your best screen grab and tag us on Instagram 🛥🏎️🥂
Now get some rest you bunch 'o lunatics! Cheers M/Y Loon!
No rest for the wicked. Time to prepare for the Atlantic Crossing
Captain Paul you should invest in a Veem Marine VG750SD
For vessels up to 3,000 tons reduce roll up to 90©< largest commercial supplier for all tankers over 1.000 ft, far superior to any fin stabilisation system, also made in WA, in the land down under
I'll have to look into them. thanks
@@motoryachtloon im sure u will lol
Are rat guards used or no?
In ports where we have a concern yes we’ll use them but most super yacht marinas work hard to keep the rats at bay.
Do y’all have an online shop? I’d to get a tee or sweatshirt
Its coming.
@@motoryachtloon Woohoo, thanks 😊
Put part 2 in the title :)
maybe a please? or hey guys great vid??? you know...... "positivity"
@@user-vl3tq1bl3d bro what. Im just tryna help their channel relax urself
How far behind are these videos? I know you guys are in Monaco for the F1 race right now and you had to have left the Caribbean/Florida at least a month ago because of the change of seasons.
We're about a month behind, but we are trying to catch up now. so get ready for 2 videos a week for the next few weeks 😎
