I think the engineers are most important behind the Captain. Please show them on all videos. I can't imagine what it's like to work down in the ship, all the various bits and the responsibility.

I find these video’s so interesting! It’s a life I never imagined. I’m sorta jealous! Spend my life as an elementary teacher. Now finding out there are so many career choices. In my day, women were encouraged to be teachers, nurses, or secretaries. But, I did enjoy my teaching days. $$$… not so much.

I thought that paint job was actual glass. The before/after had me saying, “WHAT!?!?” The “deckies” work so hard. Everyone does, really. A great team on team all around on the Loon and really noticeable when crew arrives/departs for their break. Good to see that connection and I think Paul does a fantastic job to shepherd that positive energy. You definitely see it when the new “toys” arrive. Movie projector/screen will be a nice addition. Have a wonderful Med season y’all!

The team is 100% the secret to Loon's success, Paul has amassed a top-flight crew over the last year or so (and the ones he brought over from Loon 180) and it shows.

Blair was Blair he had his own style. We seem alot of Blaire style we're happy with his content plus trying yo see how many drones landed in the water rather than on Loon's deck.
Steve is his own man he has his own style and as he becomes more settled in Loon he'll get more confidence in the equipment such as - the drones.
Working with Captain Paul and the crew on new ideas that show off Loon at her best. Which means a lot of the departments have skills to show off.
Keep going Steve it'll be fine. Plus you've got some great back up tge crew of the Loon. Even if the betting on losing drones is still happening.

Q For the Engineers : As a ex aircraft engineer when we enter fuel tanks, we always has forced air ventilation and all our torches and lamps are authorised for us in confined spaces flame/spark proof, Micro biological fuel contamination was a issue but we used fuel treatment is that similar onboard ships.
Loon runs on diesel.. I assume it's not as problematic as regular gas or jet fuel when it comes to electronics.

Esysman and a couple others were out there with their TH-cam cameras,,, one had a nice interview with Paul. Looks like you guys had the biggest, best party aboard Loon, complete with simulators, beautiful women, lots of guests and party goers and partying! I hope you cover the parties and the event in your videos.

Not too sure if I should comment about ideas for content, but a previous video you asked for them. I think the day in the life of....... Deckhand, Bosun, Chase boat Captain, Stewardess, Chief Stewardess/Purser , Engineer, Chief Engineer, Chief Officer and the guy that does nothing the Captain(hehehe) would make interesting documentaries, from when they get up to going back to bed,. I know Nina does the same on her channel, but it works so well on how hard everyone actually works on a Superyacht.
Love the behind the scenes looks and all of the creative viewpoints, just wish the jumpy audio cuts would go away. It feels like I have a case of the hiccups, and makes it so hard to watch the interviews. Bummer too, the interviews are the most fascinating content!

Ah, I remember tank crawling back in my Navy days. Our small service tanks were 10,000 gallons / 37,900 litres. But then our gas turbines drank fuel at about 600 to 900 gallons an hour.

I watch most of the videos recently. But I feel Loon videos are about 3 - 4 weeks old. Reason is, I saw Nina finishing on rotation and other youtubes showing about the boat few weeks back. But Loon video only showing them now. I prefer them to put the videos out quickly.

Great video. I guess it was you filming Steve? Wow, that fuel tank was huge, and it wasn't even your largest. The lunch Nina whipped up looked delicious. And yes, I would think docked so close to road & bridge and painting are not a good mix. Fortunately, you have deck hand who know their jobs.

Alex, don't you guys use a biocide in the fuel to kill that stuff (we use it in aviation kerosene, just more refined than diesel, but same otherwise)? I remember we used Biobor, but there are other brands.
Really enjoy watching this channel. As a South African living on the Gold Coast in Australia the accents of most of the crew are very familiar! Curious why so many of the crew are from Oz and SA?

Great video getting caught up with the other youtube channels on the progress of Loon. Question for Chief Eng Mark, are you a certified "Gas Free Engineer" (GFE) on Loon or did you hire an outside specialist to certify the tanks for entry? In other words, is getting GFE certified part of the Chief Engineer's license? Thanks!
Got a question: who handles all the business stuff with the Loon? For example, when you make purchase of things like projection screens, hackie sack games and even the food runs, there’s a receipt for it. Does someone one board put that on the ledger or is it sent off to a person off the boat.
Question: do the guys on the deck already have the skills to repair the paint or is this something they learn as part of being a deck hand ?

I missed it. Who was involved in the "unexpected" crew changes?
Alex, doesn't Loon run a fuel polisher??? Even if you had contaminated tanks, the polishing system should remove it to the point where it would not get to the engines.
All bunkered fuel taken on board Loon goes into the main tanks where it is polished on its way to the day tank. No fuel gets to the engines except from the day tank. All of the sludge stays in the main tanks which is why they have to be cleaned.
@carlyoung6111 Get them to pop for a separate polisher for the main tanks prior to the day tank. I ran a generator farm in the middle of nowhere and an extremely substandard fuel supply.
@@scallums Right. You think that the Catain is going to slow down the bunkering of fuel by polishing ALL of the fuel as it is taken on board Loon ON MY SAY SO? Are you on drugs?
