This is so sick! I want to do that as well at least once in my life! And thanks for not putting music on top of it, I love the sound of the wind! Thank you for this epic post!
Amazing nobody collided into someone or got wrapped up in someone else's parachute. The risk here was extremely high and with such numbers it'd be almost difficult to fault. There's no way to practice for something of this scale specifically, so how did you ensure everyone was clear and wasn't just going to cannonball into your chute?
Luckily everyone on this jump has trained for many years. Everyone had to go through “try outs” with smaller group sizes and to learn and practice the fundamentals before being allowed on these record attempting jumps. The organizers have been putting these record jumps on for at least a couple decades and it has slowly built in size to what it is now, so they have experience in what they want to see out of certain people in certain positions and how to keep it safe for everyone. This was only one attempt out of almost 20 I think. If you were found to be performing in an unsafe manner or just simply not performing when the moment asked for it, you were cut from the jumps and someone would be waiting to take your slot. I was cut once but luckily was able to make it back on throughout the week of attempts. As for not running into each other during canopy deployment, we had staged break offs. The out ring (the one I’m in from the video) breaks off at a higher altitude and gains a lot of distance before deploying. Then the middle ring at a middle altitude, and so on toward the center jumpers. It makes it safer, but there are always risks and close calls.
@@basethekid Wow, amazing answer. Glad I found this clip of the many available. The breakoffs just looked so professional, I just had to ask. Well done getting back in. You did excellently! :)

Remember - you are loved! Jesus loved you and gave his life so that you could be free because of Him! He died for our sins so that we can be reconnected with our Creator God. He wants us all to repent of our sins and receive a new life in Him! A life of strength, faith, and the ability to truly love others as God has loved us. He wants us to follow Him, and let Him be the Lord of our lives. Why is that part important? Because through Christ we will be given the power to overcome sin in our lives today. Christ offers this blessing to all who choose to believe in Him, trust Him and follow Him xx He will never leave you nor forsake you xxx
Hi BLAZE The Kid, I was wondering how many jumps most of these 200 people had so far going into this? I am really interested in learning this sport so I'd love to know how experienced of a level you have to be in order to do this. Many thanks, John
Hey John, I would say the average was a few thousand jumps. But not just that, it also included tons of time in indoor skydiving tunnels for supplemental training. On the low end of jumps I think the lowest number was around 800 or something like that. But that person was also an indoor skydiving instructor. On the high end was probably 10k - 20k jumps which were the organizers of the events and have been jumping for decades. Cheers
@@johnsmith6503I'll answer that for you. Once qualified/ experienced, most skydivers like to do multiple jumps per day. If I don't get to do at least three I feel short-changed, but five to ten is not that unusual either. The people who amass very large jump numbers are typically those that work in the sport, for example doing coach jumps. They might be doing several jumps per day, seven days a week. It used to be that skydiving competitively also drove up jump numbers dramatically because of all the training, but these days you're likely to spend most of your training time in a wind tunnel instead.
