Every Tom Clancy's Video Game Ranked From WORST To BEST

- The Tom Clancy’s series began life when UbiSoft started working with Red Storm Entertainment, a developer owned by Clancy that endeavoured to turn his stories into games. The franchise is divided into three main subseries; Rainbow Six, which centres around squad-based, tactical action; Ghost Recon, which put players into the shoes of a special unit of black ops soldiers; and Splinter Cell, which are action-adventure titles with a focus on stealth. Over the years, there have been dozens of games inspired by Clancy’s work, with several unique versions of the same game having been developed for different consoles, and today, we’re going to separate the Splinter Cell-Yeahs from the Rainbow Sucks. This is Every Tom Clancy’s Video Game Ranked from Worst to Best.

What's your favourite Tom Clancy game? Let us know!
The OG for sure. I got it on release for PC, and it was revolutionary for the time. I had never played an fps that required pre-planning and tactics until then, and it added so much depth to a (at the time) traditionally shallow genre.
Probably the original Ghost Recon because it was the first Tom Clancy game I ever played. My dad was a big fan of his books and got the game, so we’d play it together!
Chaos Theory is the GOAT
Chaos theory is still a great game by today's standards.
Chaos Theory, 100%. It took what made the original extraordinary and refined the hell out of every aspect. All these years later, it still looks and plays great!
As someone who’s lost 1000+ hours to siege, siege should be lower
felt 😂😂 i've
got 200 so nowhere near as many, but i can't say it's not one of the funnest experiences with my friends. & weve played a lot of multiplayer games.
As someone trying to grind to gold for the final achievement, I feel this 😂
As someone who played R6 since the very first game, it shouldn't be called a R6 game.
please stop playing bad games...its the reason they keep making them..
One of my favorite aspects of these lists is that they confirm that my memories of Stadia existing are real and not some sort of horrific fever dream.
I may be the only person out there who truly misses stadia. I played so much on there the last two years of its life. I still think the streaming quality is hands down better than Xbox game pass ultimate.
I just want a new proper Splinter Cell game. 😔
We’ll get one once they figure out how to monetize it unfortunately. Force a seasonal content option + monetization and we’ll get it.
They could/likely will follow the Hitman World of Assassination model.
Sorry, the best you'll get will be a AAAAA game with weekly $30 battlepasses.
Me too, friend. Me too.
I know right, sick of playing other games just imagining im a spy
The pay to win mechanic will be paying extra for shadows.
Breakpoint is a pretty solid game nowadays, it just took 3 years of post launch support to fix most of the issues. Tons of fun with friends and free on PSN at the moment.
I love breakpoint. I was a big Wildlands guy and I see Breakpoint as just an upgraded version in a different setting
"it just took 3 years of post launch support to fix most of the issues" Yeah that's the issue. Games keep releasing in a half baked state. Because people will flock to it and sing its praises as long as it "eventually got good". How about instead of supporting companies that keep pulling this, we continue to call them out for this.
Break was a disappointment after Wildlands.
Sam Fisher in Ghost Recon 2?
God I used to love Rogue Spear growing up
I think in the xbox 360 of graw they mention hawx crossing over too
We need another tactical Rainbow Six with pre-mission planning/route mapping
Spent the first half of this video. Exclaiming:"what the hell!?!?? That game was so good?!?! How could--- Oh never mind, it's the PSP/ gameboy/ PS1 version."
watching this whole vid to see where the single tom clancy game i’ve played is ranked
And?
@@maxpain45678mine is ninth 💪
Ding chavez is called ding because "ding" is the sound of a round hitting its target
Who said? 😂
Ding Chavez is actually Domingo "Ding" Chavez. A character that appears in Clansy's books. I think first time in Clear and present danger and after that in other books includingRainbow six
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield is probably my favorite shooter of all time. Underrated I think and way ahead of it's time with some mechanics like limping and bleeding while injured. Also you would make more noise while walking. You couldn't run as well while wounded. Awesome customization with the weapons and gear as well.
Just give me a new Tom Clancy game that feels like Tom Clancy was involved in it.
Well.... He died in 2013, so that's not exactly easy to do...
By the time you got to #13 my brain was so used to seeing videogame graphics that the dressage footage looked like a Sydney Olympics videogame and I wondered when it was released.
Can you do a TMNT game ranking? The franchise have a lot of games and they're pretty varied in terms of quality and gameplay styles. Would love to see a ranking.
Bruv Ding Chavez is a hella character in Clancy books >=[
Until the ones that are not written by Clancy
who told peter that doing a fake vocal fry was cool??
While I'm aware the first Splinter Cell is why the third exists, that doesn't necessarily make it "better." I played both on the Xbox, and game three is definingly more refined. It not only looks better, but a lot of mechanics and little things where improved all around. And while the PS2 version of the original took a visual hit, it similarly ironed out the mechanics and controls of the original. That exclusive level is actually pretty damn sweet too!
Chaos Theory is still a fantastic stealth game and vastly superior to any other entry in the franchise. The original may have paved the way for Chaos Theory, but as you say, that doesn't mean it's better.
ive said it before and ill say it again, 3DS Chaos Theory is honestly really solid. some dumbed down levels and AI didnt ruin it.
The levels weren't even dumbed down for the port, Splinter Cell 3D is basically a port of the PS2 version of Chaos Theory.
@@Zero99iGames the Hokkaido mission iirc is more segmented if that makes sense but ye it's just chaos theory with slightly worse graphics and new hacking puzzles
Sorry but Chaos theory was 100x better than the original, kept everything from the OG and just simply improved.
It really was the perfecting of the Splinter Cell formula.
I have only played Conviction, Blacklist, and the beginning of Chaos Theory. Would you recommend I still play the original and the other ones?
@@Mr.Ditkovich.chaos theory is a must play, and 1/PT are great but will feel a lil more dated. Double agent isn’t bad but the only one i could say is “skippable”, but if you do play it play the old gen version.
@abdultariq3457 I downloaded both the PC and PS2 versions (PCSX2) of Chaos Theory. While the PC version looks much better, there are some things missing from it. The PS2 version had for example, a small pond where you could hide the bodies in the beginning of the game while on PC the area was just a concrete floor. I am sure there are more different things when I progress further.
@@Mr.Ditkovich. in my opinion, and I’m sure this is the consensus, is that the PC/xbox version of chaos theory is generally better than the ps2 version. There’s not much in it and with any of these platforms you’re still getting one of, if not the greatest stealth game ever.
The Orginal Ghost Recon is my favorite game, my favorite book, Without Remorse.
That was a good shooter, remember a christmas when I was young my dad got like the pack with the two expansions, we would sit there for hours slowing going through levels together
I have fond memories of playing this one with my older brother, and then when he moved out, I actually played the campaign and beat it
I am genuinely shocked you guys listed Ghost Recon: Island Thunder as a PS2 game. There was never a release of it on PS2. That is why Jungle Storm had all of Island Thunder's campaign in it.
Usually you guys have really accurate info but this is a pretty massive error.
You’ll live
@@oddjob914 Naw he dedded
I disagree.
@@TaylorWilmes What do you disagree with?
Famed snooker player Ding Junhui is very offended, TripleJump. Be prepared, he's intensely litigious.
Ashton has really grown on me but I'm glad it's still just the boys for these lists... It's absolutely nothing against her, it's just I often use these videos to fall asleep to and the change in vocal tone is just too extreme between her and Ben/Peter. Still love you though Ash!! 😅
I feel like it was maybe a bit unfair to rate the PS2 and GC Splinter Cell games as a separate entry but not any of the three sequels released in the 6th gen. Like the GC versions had no multiplayer and the PS2 versions had badly compromised multiplayer. Combined with significant visual cutbacks compared to the Xbox and PC and you get versions that were not really the same game.
EDIT: Actually overall I am shocked that the GameCube versions were not separated into their own entries in all cases. These were titles focused on online multiplayer and the GameCube versions had no online multiplayer. They were missing half or more of the experience.
People forget how important Rainbow Six Black Arrow was to establishing online console fps gaming. Some great memories...
I have more of his movies and books than his video games but Rainbow 6 series was always fun splinter cell was one of if not the most thrilling spy games I ever played
Rainbow Six Extraction: Theme Hospital
GRAW 2 was such a glow up, GRAW was awful, couldn't make it past mission 3 due to boredom, GRAW 2 came with a 360 bundle upon buying a replacement 360 due to RROD and having fuck all else to do, put it on and played it to completion in 1 sitting. Tried the original again right after and still hated it.
Would kill for a remaster of the 2 where they fix the first and just upgrade the visuals of the 2nd lol
I was addicted to GRAW2 at one point, such a good damn game
33:26 Hey! You used my gameplay footage! That's awesome😂😂😂
I wish Ubisoft would return to mission based Ghost Recon games in the style of the original GR and GR2 on PC or at least return to soemthing like GRAW but it will never happen. Feels like there is a big hole where once were tactical first and third person singleplayer games that are not milsim but also not full on arcade.
Not happening unfortunately. The only company more stubborn and greedy than Ubisoft at this point is WBDiscovery. Companies are no longer content in making us pay once for a complete game.
Dude, me too. I miss the old days of Tom Clancy games. SOCOM, Full Spectrum Warrior, the Conflict series, Brothers in Arms, etc. Although, there’s a game on Steam called Ready or Not that’s similar to old-school Rainbow Six, except you’re part of a SWAT team, rather than in the military.
Siege...32...I call shenanigans
Imagine having a battle pass
It was so good when it came out, it’s slowly gotten worse and worse. It has had one heck of a run though
@@bohowlerson4959 Yeah. Everyone always says it's not the same as old Siege. I've only been playing for like 2ish years.
Oh yeah. Here we go. War crimes time!
52:59 - Funny enough, you said the name "Ghost Recon" twice in the GR1 segment where you refused to say the title! Only realized it on the second instance.
Any Rainbow Six 3 OG's here?
All this video did was infuriate me at various points because reviewers are just neanderthals. Athena Sword got significantly worse scores than Rainbow Six 3 because it was too similar in gameplay.... It was an expansion to it. Imagine if Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erd Tree got reviews that were like "it's too similar to Elden Ring" lol 😂
And the fact Rainbow Six Extraction was so high in scores because reviewers saw a Tom Clancy game having aliens as a positive just.... AHHHHHHH!!!!
Could literally cry right now, love these videos TripleJump!!
SPLINTER CELL GANG RISE
I understand the point, but allowing poor ports to bring down a game's total score, and therefore lower on the list, is really not a good way to do this. If a port specifically is worse than the others, then it should have it's own spot, regardless if "the game is essentially the same". Multiple times did a game get put lower on the list because "Sony messed up" (which isn't even true, Sony had jack to do with the ports), which I think is unfair to the point of a list like this.
“Engaging pain in the ass” added to the cursed quotes list
Athena Sword sounds like the main villain from a direct to DVD Steven Seagal movie 40:32
So umm, why did you lump the ds version of splinter cell with the 3ds? The 3ds has its own version of the game called Splinter Cell 3d. It's a slightly worse quality version of the ps2 and GameCube release of chaos theory, but plays 1000× better than the ds version, and is quite literally not the same game. Try to further your research next time! Ty :)
Wildlands and D2 are perfect in my mind!
Its a shame that the PSP didnt get better Tom Clancy games.
I went to sports camp with Athena Sword. Surprisingly terrible at fencing.
I wanna be honest; I keep watching and waiting for a cool episode, that I can share with friends, but your content over the past year or so has become very scripted and feels unfamiliar with the headlines it chases. The vocal deliveries feel repetative, with stacked grating inflections, and I feel the writing has lost some of its heart. I may have missed some of your new stuff, and I can understand these lists can pull in the views, but I would love to see you all do more original stuff and make more meaningful lists. Really enjoy your WGE LPs and think you should keep going with Main Menu-like show, and continue developing other fun ideas like that. Sorry, just wanted to give some thoughts. I don't know what a Tom Classy is.
1: yes, Lone Wolf is awful. Truly. But,
2: Ding is short for Domingo, though I’m not sure if that makes it worse or better
God damn it, this is what I get for not waiting for the video to continue before commenting...
That means he could probably have dingo as a nickname which I think is even funnier. Like the dog
In Germany "Ding" is also the word for "Thing"
HAWXS 2, eh?
Shit on that hang!
I would think that they were trying to find some kind of loophole to get those unranked games into the list just they could slip in a "nice".
18:41 the fact you wanna shoot the punisher in the face over Shane Walsh is disturbing
I was actually giggling
Can you do a Bioware games ranking? Would love to see it
Ding is short for Dingo. Dingo Chaves is a major character in the Jack Ryan books.
Close. Short for Domingo. One of the key characters of the book. Fun fact, the actor who played Ding in Clear and Present Danger is Tuco from Breaking Bad
Did the Dingo eat your baby?
FYI: Island Thunder was not released on the PS2
Technically it did.
Ive subscribed to this channel like 6 times and youtube randomly unsubs me every time but i really like triple jumps content but damn shame youtube is buggy
We just not gonna mention half the HAWX 2 footage was actually HAWX 1 or
The Sum of All Fears is placed way too high on the list. That was one of the worst games I've ever played.
GRAW 2 \ Xbox multiplayer was as good as it gets ! Gamebattles clan matches , we played that game for years !
Immediately watching
Oh gawd DING is short for Domingo!!! Read your books
Did any one see double agent and Vegas 2?
Justice for Double Agent
The BEST Splinter Cell game
"Honestly, what is it with Tom Clancy games and Nintendo?" Hmm, why would a Japanese company have anything against video games about American soldiers.... hmmm.....
Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell time
Spot on!
This is a great video!
please chapter this
GRAW and GR Wildlands are awesome
Siege at 32 although it’s still very active so long after release?
Just because I could see the amount of joke potential from these two ideas All COD Games or All Kingdom Hearts Games ranked from worst to best
Las Vegas was the best series
Are you sure you play as Sam Fisher in the Gamecube port of Ghost Recon 2? Was that a mistake?
No, you don't play as Fisher. The story for Chaos Theory crosses over with GR2, so Fisher was in Korea at the same time, but you're not playing as him in Ghost Recon
@@saltyoddball550 Oh ok, got it
@@codyC423 Chaos Theory was so damn good its a shame that the Gamecube and PS2 version of GR2 didn't reach the same level. That story arc was amazing
wildlands below breakpoint???
Break has better gameplay mechanics and that’s it
Wild lands multiplayer was a ton of fun with friends
Wish you guys didn't use the metacritic scores.
Because it's very apparent GR Wildlands is better than GR Future Soldier
I haven't played any tom Clancy games but watching to see what to play. Growing up Splinter Cell got much hype from my friends but never got around to playing it.
The only ones still really worth playing now are the splinter cell series. Also ghost recon wildlands is very fun with the freind or two. Although it's actually OK singleplayer for a bit aswell.
Ding fries are done
Rs Vegas 3 please
Kingdom hearts ranked
Splinter cell conviction is still a great game not a great splintercell game but a good game also takedown holds a specialnplace with me
or, wights?...
Endwar Online - “A real time MMO” 🤣🤦🏽♂️ first of all NO. Secondly…what’s a “real time MMO”? 😂
If siege isn't last this is fake
Any game that’s still as active as it is this long after release cannot be ranked that low. It’s gotten worse since release, but it’s still a solid shooter
@@bohowlerson4959 solid shooter is beyond a push. Back in the day it most certainly was a *good* shooter but year 4 was the last time it ever was close to greatness
Don't quit your day job, "mate".
Dude doesn't even play the games and ranks them, okay.
It's also silly because obviously the scores are proportional to expectations. Obviously some mobile ports are not actually better games than stuff like ghost recon wildlands 😂
Siege is the best
Breakpoint is not that bad. Don't get me wrong it's not great but it shouldn't be that low on the list.
Very watchable at 1.25 speed
You in a hurry?
hey, I *liked* Ghost Recon Wii.
I wasn't sure an opinion could objectively be wrong before I read this
Bruh, this guy is trying too hard 😅
하지만 한국어 쉬워요!
So r6 siege is the worst and best because cheaters but it's still the best shooter out there today and if you haven't tried it, you should.
Wildlands did NOT outsell Breath of the Wild
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you will have eternal life
I believe a man possibly named Jesus Christ existed around 2000 years ago. I do not believe all the other fairy tale stuff.
