Now I want to know what it sounds like. The impreza is such a quiet car. I don't need anything super loud, but just something that makes it sound more alive and less subdued.
Be careful installing the hose on that elbow piece. I pushed the hose on and the elbow broke off at the exposed threads. Ended up cracking the intake pipe trying to extract the screw. Waiting on replacement parts.
If you're concerned about moisture and liquids getting sucked into your intake, you should get one of our prefilter wraps that help alleviate that issue.
I would be careful. I bought a Cold Air Intake for the 2.0L for my 2.5L. It fits and went in without a hitch. There was a small issue of "chatter" at low RPMs. The feedback I got from support was pretty much I was "SOL".
Bro, honestly theres some truth to the video in regards to power gains, your better off just buying this SSD power intake tube from ebay, heres why. Whether its the Takeda intake or not your still using the factory box to draw air into the intake through the front of the car. If you order the K&N or AEM intakes, sure they point down but if you think about it, they dont get much air from the outside only because the intake will sit within the bumper and right next to your wheel within the splash guard. With this SSD power Intake tube and a K&N square reusable filter, you should be right with the TaKeda filter where its using the factory box to draw air from the front of the car. (Make sure you remove the carbon stock filter in the box for slightly freer airflow. it wont make a huge difference though.) and yes tuning your car is essential when making any mods. the tube comes out to $100 cheaper with the K&N square filter, Oppose to paying $350 or more for the Takeda, AEM or K&N Cold air intakes. www.ebay.com/itm/353050128702?hash=item52336d713e:g:DmoAAOSw~wZelf-l
